Horseback riding was the most amazing experience ever! Wyatt, our wrangler, was courteous, careful, knowledgeable and super friendly; my sons now call him their new best friend. My sons have named him their favorite cowboy in Wyoming!

This review is for both the Ranch (as a place to stay) and for the restaurant inside. First, make sure your gps is loaded before you go to Yellowstone and then try to find the ranch. We didn't, and if my daughter hadn't noted the sign as we passed it, we would have drive another 30 minutes into Cody, and then had to backtrack in the dark! It has cute cabins and horse back rides and more. Because we were on a cross country trek and spent the day in Yellowstone and had to make it to Sioux Falls by the next day, we couldn't enjoy any of those amenities. Next time, if we were to spend more time in Yellowstone, it would be a great place to spend more time. The dinner was good if simple, but cheap! We had rib eye and a bison burger. We had to leave too early for breakfast the next day.

This place hands down has the best burgers that we experienced during our vacation to Yellowstone. We didn't realize that they only served dinner between 6pm-8pm but it was worth the half hour wait as we had a cocktail at their bar where I experienced my first huckleberry lemonade - delish! Place was very cozy as it provided a western home vibe. If we ever make it back out to Yellowstone, this will be put on our list for repeat. Thanks for the great food!!

We have had an incredible time at Bill Cody Ranch. The cabins are cozy, comfortable and very clean--look just like the photos on the website. Everyone of the staff have been friendly and helpful--incredible service from start to finish. We tried a few restaurants in town, but the breakfast and dinner in the restaurant at the ranch were the best meals of the trip. The highlight of our entire Wyoming vacation was the four hour Clock Tower Trail Ride through the Shoshone National Forest. Our wrangler, Jackson, was a fantastic guide and host. He grilled us delicious burgers mid-ride for a picnic lunch by the river and was great with all the guests and horses. Gorgeous views of mountains, fields full of wildflowers, and beautiful horses who were well trained for the day. Highly recommend adding a stay at Bill Cody Ranch to anyone planning to visit Yellowstone. Truly a getaway from hectic daily life and a place to make family memories for a lifetime!

Amazing views for the amazing trail rides

Bill Cody Ranch is THE ranch to visit when coming to Wyoming. I've been an employee for a little over a month, and the ranch owners have been nothing but motivating and compassionate towards their employees. It's definitely a fast pace job but with tourists from everywhere in the world, it's to be expected. Even our chef is absolutely phenomenal with his cooking, he takes pride in making it the best and getting it out in a timely manner. And his famous cheesecake is to die for (which is worth the trip in itself!). The amount of care and passion they put into the cabins, staff, and horses is unbelievable. It is undeniably one of the best experiences I have done in my lifetime so far. The view from the horse trails is absolutely breathtaking, not to mention the view when you step out of your cabin. Definitely worth the trip to Wyoming, especially if you're on your way to Yellowstone.

We took the 2 hour 8.30am trail ride and we had a blast. The scenery is spectacular and I had a horse named Alpine who was just the sweetest. The ranch is only 30 minutes from Cody and it's on the way to Yellowstone. For $55 a person it was well worth it. Our tour guide could have been a little more knowledgable on the surrounding area but it didn't affect our ride. We would definitely come back and are considering staying in a cabin next year!

****AVOID THIS TOURIST TRAP****…read more Looking for a breakfast spot and reviews looked promising so I stopped by. With a name like "OUR PLACE" I was hoping for a warm and friendly place with a good home cooked meal. Big mistake, not here!!!! Walked inside and was ignored for a few minutes. Should have just left. Restaurant has 1 server, 1 "helper," and one person cleaning tables. The "helper" was standing behind a host table and wouldn't even look at me or acknowledge me. She was playing with a tall leaning stack or toast. The server finally came by, asked me to wait a minute, and then seated me. I ordered and 30 minutes later the food came. I ordered the bunkhouse which was just biscuits and gravy and a side of bacon. Biscuits were terrible (didn't look or taste like a biscuit) and was BURNT AT THE EDGES! Bacon was in a greasy ball and underneath it was a long strand of hair (not mine). I also ordered a special advertised on their chalkboard - a cinnamon roll. This was nothing special and unfortunately was the best thing I ordered. Avoid this place!

The building is a small log cabin like facility and easy to drive by if you aren't alert. The breakfast menu is very much like grandma's home cooking and we enjoyed everything. They advertise the best 25 cent coffee and they are not wrong. It was strong and delicious. Our group ordered Biscuits & gravy, a cinnamon roll, pancakes, sausage and the best extra crispy hash browns I've had, that I didn't make. Service from Janet was super friendly and attentive. If you're in Cody, Wy and looking for a wonderful breakfast, this is the place to stop!

I think this is a family-run establishment. I ordered my meal to go, and they gave me my drink and invited me to sit down and wait. A thick beef patty was covered with onions, mushrooms, bacon, and melted American cheese. It also come with lettuce, tomato and thousand island dressing. The patty was huge and nicely seasoned with salt and pepper. The onions, mushrooms, bacon and cheese all melded deliciously together. The bun was sturdy and had been nicely toasted. The thousand island dressing added another layer of richness to this burger. Wow! A messy, but awesome burger! The fries were good, a nice side and had some good seasoning in the breading. We were amazed at how clean the city was and how welcoming the businesses were. Until we stopped at this unwelcoming bar. We had dinner at really nice dinner Granny's Rrstaurant and stopped for a drink after at the Silver Dollar Bar and Grill. While sitting at the bar, we observed a woman grab a plastic cup off a stack. Another cup stuck to the 1st cup. The woman removed the 2nd cup by sticking her hand in the cup and then putting the cup back on the stack. We told her she should keep that cup instead. She said it was no big deal and none of our business. She then walked behind us and was bad mouthing us. We felt very threatened. I took the dirty cup and handed it to a bartender and asked him to put it in the garbage. The woman then went behind the bar and dramatically threw the cup in the garbage while continuing to slur words at us. We were astounded at this display of aggression. The bartender then said "You must not be from around here and you should mind your own business!" SHE'S THE OWNER AND CAN DO ANYTHING SHE WANTS TO. We were then kicked out of the bar even though we had just ordered and paid for our drinks. There are so many other nice bars in Cody you can skip this one.
