I took my Classic truck to Moe's (Pro Automotive, ha), he diagnosed my truck and stated it had a…read morefuel pump timing code, which he showed me on the machine. When he finished his diagnosis, he quoted me $400-$500 to reset the pump timing only. That was all that was authorized. When I Finally got notified my vehicle was ready, I went to pick it up, and was horrified at what he had done with no notification, authorization, and some things he altered under the hood. Not once did Moe contact me about anything needing to be replaced, had no authority to make said changes, and to top it off, he removed my Factory Black timing cover, and replaced it with a mustard yellow cover, which by the way, was unnecessary to start with. Moe, in my opinion has no clue about diesel repairs! I am now having to take legal action, as Mr. Moe, will not even answer my calls, text, and I've had to send a demand letter to Moe's Pro Automotive, which I don't expect he will respond to. I wouldn't recommend Moe's Pro Automotive to fix a bicycle wheel, much less a vehicle. He greatly devalued my Classic truck, by making unauthorized, no notification modifications to my truck! Then presented me with a $1200 invoice for all that he did to my once stock truck.

The gentleman there listened to the rattle for a second and told me he knew exactly what it was. He reached into the AC slot, pulled out a dead mouse, and told me there was no charge (I paid him anyway). Dealership probably would have said I needed a new compressor and charged me $900. I highly, highly recommend West Erwin Auto Repair as both knowledgeable and honest.

Luckily I found Allan at West Erwin Automotive who removed the computer, opened the thing up, figured out the problem, repaired it and reinstalled it! He then re-primed the pump and now everything works GREAT. Less than $400 total. Alan is the last of a dying breed, a mechanic that can actually fix stuff! Most just swap parts but not Allan. I think he could fix just about anything. The shop lacks the glitz of other shops in town but have no fear these guys KNOW what they are doing. I'm glad I found this shop because I am responsible for maintenance of about 8 vehicles. My job just got a lot simpler! Thanks Allan!

I should have read the reviews before I went here, because he scammed me too. I went in to get my…read morea/c fixed. I waited in the little office area with my kids while the guy "fixed" my a/c. He charged me $200 saying that he vacuumed it out and charged it with Freon, and put oil in the a/c motor. He told me it's running cold now. When I turned the car on and felt it, it was not cold. He said, "Once you get going down the road a little bit, you'll see it's gonna blow cold." I drove it around for a while to pick my daughter up from work, and it never got cold. It did not fix the problem, because the a/c was still blowing warm. When I told him it didn't work still, he said that means it needs a new compressor, and that would be another $600 + labor to fix that. He also said he had a machine that could store all my Freon I just got put in while they change out the part and then they could put the Freon back in. i asked him how they knew it needed Freon (because I thought my partner had already tried putting Freon in it) and he said he hooked a gauge up to it, and it wasn't getting any pressure. I left without getting that done. After I left, my 9-year-old said she watched him out of the window for a while, and the guy was just sitting there playing on his phone. When I got home, I told my partner that they vacuumed it and put Freon in it, and that it still wasn't working, and he got mad saying that he just (about a month ago) did that already! So they charged me $200 for no reason! I also told him about the compressor. He knows a lot about working on cars, and he told me that if they take the compressor off to change it out, they're going to have to put all new Freon in there. They can't just cycle all my Freon out into a machine and put it all back in there like he was saying, because if my compressor actually is bad, then it will have a bunch of metal shavings in it and build up, and it will ruin the new compressor. These guys are some scam artists. update: The back a/c was already blowing cold- it just was barely blowing. My partner told me if something were wrong with the compressor, that the back a/c wouldn't have been working at all. another update: So my children's father replaced the fan blower motors and taped up the air ducts that had fallen down and were letting hot air in. Then he took the car apart to change the compressor, condenser, dryer canister, orifice tube, and expansion valve. He showed me that there was no oil in the dryer canister. It was bone dry. And when he took the compressor pump out, no oil ran out. And the same Freon was in there from the last time he had put some in. The way he knows this is that he put a special type of freon in there that is neon green so that you can spot leaks in the lines. Also, I helped my partner vacuum the lines out, and before we could even do that, we had to take all these parts out to even get to the lines. When I had taken my van to Gusset's shop, they didn't take any parts out at all. It took the guy 30 minutes of playing on his phone, and then the lines were magically "vacuumed out". When my partner and I did it, it took us a couple days to get all the parts out to get to the lines to vacuum them. So I was completely scammed out of that $200, because they lied about putting oil in the compressor, and they lied about vacuuming out the lines and putting new Freon in. Then he tried to get me to let him put in a new compressor too, which would have been another $600 + labor. and that wouldn't have even fixed the problem, because it had all these other problems that were undiagnosed. I probably would have paid him the $600+ labor, and I'm sure he would have just left the old one in there and claimed he changed it out. Also, my partner who fixed my a/c told me that that quote he gave me for the compressor ($600 just for the part) was also a lie. He said when he was shopping around, $300 was the most expensive one he found. He said he spent a total of $500 for all the parts and equipment (a few special tools, the refrigerant & oil, compressor, condenser, dryer canister, orifice tube, & expansion valve).

Tires were re-balanced and still bad vibration. The team at A&B immediately pointed out that one my older rear tires was separating thus causing the issue.
