Was in the market for a minivan... and I'm not even sure why I decided to drive here to look at a van I had seen online. You know how sometimes, you just have a really good feeling that the moment's right? Well I had that feeling this morning and drove here to make a purchase. Brian, salesman who helped me was awesome. No pressure whatsoever and just a really cool down to earth kinda guy. Made me feel like I was dealing with somebody I knew, not just somebody trying to make a commission. My credit isn't great, hell... it's not even "good". But the crew there crunched numbers and got me approved with very little down, and a good interest rate. So that's that and I was sold. Brought the van home the same day and so far I am loving that minivan life!! Haha... for times when I wanna feel young again thankfully I still have my sports car. This review is going to be a bit long, but I've got a lot of great things to say. I went to this dealership after a horrible experience with Tri-Cities Nissan. One so bad that I was stuck with a car I never wanted after numerous lies by the entire staff there, including Corey the GM. So you can imagine how my attitude was when I pulled on to Bill Gatton's lot. This didn't stop them from being absolutely amazing. I spoke with Mike Powers first, told him about my experience prior, what I was looking for and what I wanted. He then introduced me to Ms. Bonnie Alford, she would be my sales lady. Both of these people were the best. I told them I wanted nothing but brutal honesty, they never batted an eye. They worked so hard to get me into the truck I wanted. Because of the experience with the other dealership, we ran into a brick wall, but that didn't stop them from working hours on end for me. Three months, it took them three months, lots of calls and working on their days off but this week I got the call. They did it! I've worked so hard to get to this point, 35 years working day and night I was at the finish line. Ms. Bonnie met me at my car, smiling from ear to ear and said: "let's go sign the paperwork while your truck is being detailed!" An hour later I'm sitting in from of Mr. Terry signing paperwork, it's here, its time, then a man walks in and says "STOP, we have a problem, her truck was just wrecked by the lady bringing in from detailing it." My heart hit the floor, not because I was literally signing my name on the papers for my dream truck, but because this young lady just wrecked, she could be hurt. So the first thing I ask is, is she ok? I don't care about the truck, is the young lady ok? The man, whom I don't know just looks at me, confused, and says, "Yes, she is fine, wait here and we will fix this." I go outside to smoke and see the truck, it looked pretty bad, and I won't lie, I almost cried, but I was just thankful the young lady wasn't hurt. Ms. Bonnie comes up and says they have another one for me to look at, it's not red like the one I was getting but gun metallic, I kind of frowned inside, I didn't like that color, but hey, I'm getting my truck, and the young lady is ok. I watch Ms. Bonnie walk out with keys, and hear a truck alarm beep, I see it. It was actually the first truck I looked at, in the beginning, one I couldn't afford. She said, "come here, look at this, what do you think?" I said, Bonnie,, I can't get this one remember, she smiled and said, "that man that stopped you from signing the paperwork, he is our GM Mike, he said as long as it's taken to get her in this truck, she was signing the papers and her main concern was for the worker, she didn't care about the truck, just her. So, Ms. Jessica, this is your truck, he is making this work without you paying any additional cost!" I fought back tears, even told her to take the bed extender, it was just too much, she smiled and said: "no, you deserve this, after everything that has happened to get to this point, you deserve it." I was so floored and so excited. I went from one place running so much, being stuck in a car that though it was nice, I never wanted. To an absolutely amazing, sexy truck. I know they took a huge hit on this, one being wrecked, then upgrading me to this one, but they were all so happy for me. I was treated like family like I mattered like I was the only customer they had there, even though the lobby was full. Mike, Bonnie, thank you so much for all of your hard work, you both went above and beyond. I love my truck, but more than that, I love knowing that there are still good, honest people out there who are willing to go the extra mile to help someone achieve their dream. I wish you guys nothing but the best, and all the success you guys and handle. Hopefully so much so you guys don't have time to stop. I had a recall on my 2017 Nissan Sentra! So on April 19th 2021, I took my car in for service! Once I got there for my appt, first off no one was there to check me in, I waited till someone came out! So I got checked in, & the girl still never explained anything about the recall or why it would take six months to get the part! This part controls the break panel that helps to start the car when you hold your break. So, they did the checking out on the car to order the part! Then she came in to where I was waiting & said you have a reverse light out on the drivers side, would u like us to replace it, I said "how much" to which she said seven dollars, ok sure! Me not thinking about labor, was shocked when I got up to pay, the lady said $71.89 to which I literally bout messed on myself! I said I don't have that much on me! She called the girl back & she said that's with labor! To which I said you told me $7.00! So I'm standing there, embarrassed as ever trying to figure out what to do to get my car, with people behind me, so I'm online on my cell figuring the two checks I knew I still had out, so there was only one solution, I had to go ahead, pay the bill, & go into overdraft! This place takes advantage of single women that come there with no man, or husband, with them! Its the biggest rip off ever. When this car is paid for I'm selling it, I've had nothing but trouble from both Nissan dealers here in Bristol & Johnson City! It should have been the girls job to quote the entire amount to which she didn't do....I'm 66 yrs old, & just wasn't thinking about the labor, to which left me broke for the rest of the month. They will not rip me off again, they will only do what's under warranty & that's it. These people could care less about their customers, & btw they asked if I had points built up to help me to which I knew nothing about, to which the girl said they sign you up automatically when you buy the car, well obviously not, if they didnt tell me about it. FYI, even if you have points, if you're signed up at one or the other Nissan dealers, you can only use them at one, how crazy is that! Run,run, run, they don't care. read more

I bought a 2017 Ford Edge sport for 24,000$ and its had problems since the week I bought it. I have taken it back 3 times for the same problem and still isn't fixed. not even 2 months ive had it and ive called multiple times and not a single thing they will do! Spoke with dealership several times about purchasing a vehicle. We wanted to neg price on the phone. They said it would be better in person. Ok, so we paid deposit to hold car and drove 3 hours one way to dealership. When we got there they would not come off price at all. Per the salesman " we cannot lower it, not a nickel". There was an electrical issue with the vehicle and we wanted them to fix it or deduct the cost to repair ($200) from the purchase price. They would do neither. Glad you can afford to let cash paying customers go right out the door. read more

The folks at Gatton were nice and we worked together just fine. But there seem to be a level on disorganization that cost me considerable time. The vehicle was excellent however. The one thing that bothered me most was the fact the when I got in my new truck to leave I found an EMPTY GAS TANK. To me that was unacceptable. When you buy a $23000 vehicle a dealership should fill it up. read more

I don't like being lied to. They quoted me a price of $ 160. for installing a drive belt. I called and asked for a quote. Then when I got and asked again and they said it would be $ 160. Then when I paid the bill, it was $ 174.02. I would not deal with them again. read more

My salesman Desmond Lockett was wonderful. I drove several different vehicles and Desmond didn't pressure me and was very patient. This was the first vehicle I have ever purchased from this dealership and it won't be my last if they keep salesmen like Desmond. read more

We recently bought a used car for our young son after looking for something in a very low price range for many months. A lot of dealerships did not want to deal with us because of our low price range but Doyle jumped right in and helped us find a vehicle that we could afford and my son would enjoy! Concluded a purchase of two vehicles and was quoted an interest rate and payment during the evening from sales manager and sales rep. Returned to dealership next morning and neither the sales manager or rep were there because they were off. Fiance guy begins conservation with recommending the extended warranty which we declined. Then he presents the payments which had increased from the evening before on one vehicle by $28.00 and the other vehicle by $68.00 with interest rate increasing form 3.2% to 4.9%. This dealership is completly disorganized. Wasted several hours at dealership and accomplished nothing. read more

Mike Miller, the General Manager, is a bully. My mother, an elderly widow, brought back a pre-owned vehicle she had just purchased the day before after discovering the transmission was slipping. He verbally accosted her and told her to take the truck back or he would have it impounded at her cost. She canceled payment on the vehicle and will never come into that dealership again. She simply wanted the vehicle repaired but they destroyed her faith in the entire Bill Gatton organization. I urge everyone to run as fast as they can from this dealership. read more
