From the time I first talked to Chris on the phone until the time I pulled my car out he was absolutely hands down the most trusted and humble person that's ever worked on my vehicle.... He's just one of those rare people that you very seldom meet anymore that goes out of his way to help another. Especially, when you drive up and the first thing he does is open the hood and looks at my issue and said without hesitation... no worries that's a quick fix!!!.....and believe he stopped everything he was doing to fix my car..... and when I ask him if he worked on German made vehicles very often he humbling said I sure do....I'm a BMW certified specialist..... he even checked out some extra things to make sure it was safe for me to drive to Asheville to pick up my son. Unlike everywhere else, A-1 understood exactly what I needed. On the day of my appointment they took my car exactly on time and immediately got to work. How often does that happen these days? As I waited, I looked around. Their store, the parking lot, AND their shop is immaculate. Every tool in their shop has a designated spot. I was in industrial operations for 20 years, and I can tell you that when a place is as well organized and maintained as this, it is extremely well run. We called at least 10 businesses trying to get help without success. This man came out, removed the wheel, took it to his shop and replaced the tire so that we still had a spare, and put the wheel back on. The price he charged for the tire was the same as we usually pay and the service call was totally reasonable. He was pleasant and polite. We are both in our 70's and changing this in 90+ degree heat was not an option. If he had not come out, our only option would be a huge towing fee to pull the trailer to a shop. It was proof that compassionate, ethical and competent people still exist.
