My son died unexpectedly Thursday and I spoke with the "funeral director" that evening and told him that he would be ready to be picked up after 12 pm Friday. The funeral home outsourced that and they Deere not able to pick him up. I asked them to call me Monday and let me know he had been picked up so we can plan the service and internment. Over the weekend I reiterated the hope that we would receive information as to when he might be ready so we could move forward. Monday morning I received an email saying he was scheduled to be picked up and they would notify me when they had him. I contacted them at 4 pm and called them at 4:45 and was told "I had you on my list of things to do before I went home." He then looked for the first time and confirmed that my son had indeed arrived at 2 pm. And now he could not give me a date when he would be ready because they needed to pull together documents for my signature before they can schedule anything. He could not even give me a timeframe Having to deal with such incompetence during our time of grief is sickening. So do yourself a favor and find a more professional funeral home during your time of need

The chapel was clean, had sparkling crystal chandeliers (they were very clean), and the stain glass windows were simple but nice. Black piano in the lobby added a very classy touch, and contributed to the nice atmosphere. Seems like there were a lot of friendly employees available to assist quests. Also, it seems like the venue was able to house an other service simultaneously. I'm very impressed with the entire business. There were monitors on the wall that were reflecting some family memories. However, great bonuses were the acoustic in the room and well working microphones so the quest could actually follow the beautiful seremon and the lovely songs performed by the mourning family members. Parking lot was not paved but at least there was enough parking. There were some parking spaces on the street as well.

They were understanding of my loss and had spoke to my parent before they passed, as they wanted to be certain everything was as they planned. They were able to send faxes and provide me with all that needed for the future probate court needs. They were also not what I expected in a funeral home, they were actually homey. I felt like I was being assisted by people who respected my loss but could have been family. Thank you Plummer Funeral Home for being the least stressful part of a challenging time. Ms. Gosa handled all arrangements with us. She also prepared my mother's body and our Mom looked absolutely beautiful. Everyone commented on how lovely our Mother appeared. We had a perfect viewing at the funeral home. This funeral home is located in a beautiful, park-like location, which was very nice for the viewing. They handled the transfer to the church and then to the National Cemetery. Note that if you are burying a military person they have very nice service plaques for each service that can be put at the interior top of the coffin. Ms. Gosa understood our financial needs and did not try to "up-sell" anything at all. Of note, they did not try to sell us a "procession" that every other funeral home said was required and at over $1000, too. The other funeral homes we evaluated cost at least double our end cost at Turner's. Definitely consider A.J. Turner's for your loved one's last care. They were spectacular for our family.
