Not overly explanatory; we tried to give copies of loved ones policy and information for her insurance for her prepaid cremation and ceremony but they just took the policy number; her arrangements were made in Washington and finally Jr agreed to write it down. You would think as long as they have been in business they would have been more warm, thoughtful and explanatory of the process. They were recommended by Agape Hospice or we probably may not have used them. I didn't even read the reviews before we selected them and I normally do but under the circumstances I just agreed to use them. Junior showed my family no empathy. He didn't ask us any questions about what happened, how we were, or even took the time to introduce himself. During the consultation, he fell asleep!!! I am 100% disappointed with the treatment my family received. We were told the cremation remains of our loved one would be ready for pick up on Monday (the following week after the initial meeting). My fiancée and his mother both asked if everything was ready, including the urn, and administrative assistant verified everything was in order and our loved one was ready to be picked up. When we arrived, again we were treated very coldly. My fiancées mother asked again if everything was in the box that was given to us. Junior said it was. So imagine our shock when we got home to find we were not provided with the urn, but just the plastic box with our loved one's ashes!! I called and spoke with the administrative assistant and Junior and I was told "I was shocked to see you all come in to collect the remains of our loved one." I said you, (Junior) told us everything would be ready for pick up on Monday (the following week after the initial meeting). Also I was told that the urn we ordered should "be in any day." Horrible service. I've been to several/involved with funerals but never have been treated so coldly. I do not recommend this funeral company. read more

Flanigan Funeral Home has become the go to Funeral Service for my family. We have had multiple family members funerals here over the past decade. We even had a Military Funeral here for a family member killed in Afghanistan. They have always been helpful in the process of arranging services. Prices are reasonable. The facilities are nice. Parking lot is large for all the family and friends. For the military funeral they accommodated the Military Honor Guard who were there the entire time. And there was plenty of room for the Motorcycle Escort from the Patriot Guard Riders. For my fathers funeral they arranged the local VFW Post to do a Graveside Military Salute with Taps and 21 Gun Salute. They have really taken care of us. read more

I never thought I would feel the need to post a review for a funeral home, but we were deeply disappointed with the services recently provided by Flanigan Funeral Home. Our initial meeting with Junior was fine, however, looking back on this, he did not ask many questions. He also showed zero sympathy for our loss. It got worse from there. First, our loved one's obituary was not posted timely, and when it finally was posted, it contained numerous errors. Several family members had to contact Flanigan's before these errors were corrected. Second, we still do not have the death certificate, and were told by one of the associates that we would likely need to make arrangements to find a doctor to sign it! Third, our love one was cremated and his remains were to be transported to the cemetery for burial. On the day of the service Flanigan's called and told us we had to come pick up the remains and take them to the cemetery, contrary to Junior's previous assurance that the funeral home would transport the remains. Junior would not take my phone call to discuss this and the associate with whom I spoke refused to help resolve this. My sister had to stand in line for our loved one's remains and was offered no help transporting them to her vehicle. Several associates just stood around and watched her, not even helping with the door!! Fourth, Junior also promised that he would take care of all arrangements with the cemetery where our loved one, a Korean War veteran, was to receive full military honors. Alas, Flanigan's did not even communicate this correctly to the cemetery and it was too late for us to correct this on our own. If I could give less than one star to this business I would. I completely understand that, given the time of year that our loved one passed and the fact that deaths are up due to the pandemic, funeral homes are busier. But this does not excuse the lack of basic care, empathy and support a funeral home should provide. Flanigan's failed to meet all of these basic levels of service. If you are in need of a funeral home in Northern Gwinnett County or Buford, Georgia, I strongly recommend that you consider someone other than Flanigan Funeral Home. read more

The staff are very unwelcoming n unprofessional. Does not listen to the families needs, or wishes. I will definitely not be back to use this funeral home again. Was just appalled at the way they handled my family members body, including the viewing. Was lied to by staff that was there as well. read more

I attended a service here. The place is very nice and the chapel even more beautiful without being over the top. Lots of parking and an entrance at a light if you need to turn left after the service. read more

Mr. Flanigan waited patiently while I delayed cremation due to complications concerning the holidays and particularly my trying to decide whether or not to have an autopsy. I chose this location for a memorial service for my mother. They do cremations on site (which is VERY unusual, most places take the body elsewhere), which was really important to me, I didn't want her body moved all over. They had a nice chapel and the staff was really nice. We had a mixup with scheduling, but they fixed it (after a bit of back and forth). The prices are all reasonable. If I had to do it again (and hopefully will never have to), I would go with them again. read more

Thankully, I only had to deal with Flanigan's for my cremation needs. I was not impressed in the least with the one meeting I had with them. The death certificate for my murdered husband came back inaccurate. I'm unsure whether this is the fault of the funeral home, or the state. But, the way I've been spoken to and treated in trying to resolve this issue is completely unacceptable. One woman I spoke to was downright rude. She even hung up on me at the end of our conversation. If I can muster the strenght to be polite, surely a funeral home should do better. I have used Flanigan Funeral Home for 3 different family funerals. They are very professional and are very willing to work with you when going through difficult times. I have never experienced a funeral home where the owner took care of many private issues so that everything went so very smoothly. I would certainly recommend them! read more

Used Flanigans when my mom passed away in May, we called and they met us at the hospital to transport her body in a very timely manner. The gentleman who picked her up was very sensitive and respectful with our time needed to say our final goodbye outside of the funeral home. When we arrived at the funeral home Junior was very friendly and walked us through the whole process to file the death certificate and to arrange cremation. He provided us with a booklet to order urns from that they did not have in the back showroom because I did not like anything I saw and wanted purple since it was her favorite color. The urns we got are beautiful and they were beyond accommodating again when one of the memory urns we ordered was not the color it appeared to be in the booklet, they kindly reordered. They also filled a memorial cremation necklace I had ordered online with no problem and at no additional cost. We are glad fellow church members recommended them and were happy with the services we received. We did not hold a service at their facility because we wanted something less dated and more upbeat and celebratory so I cannot comment on that aspect. read more
