I explained that to their collections department but was told by their corporate rep he will not remove it from collections until the amount has been paid!!! I have called the office to assist but they pretty much tell me it's up to corporate!! I followed up with my insurance and was informed NO new appeal was filed!!! In the meantime I'm getting collections calls n harrsmeent phone calls telling me I need to pay!!! The office and their corporate headquarters need to do a better job!!! Despite this, the oral surgeon repeatedly told me that I needed all four removed "either way" and continued insisting on all four extractions after I had already said no multiple times. My concerns were not addressed, and my refusal was not respected. I was then told that I should "think about it" because another patient was waiting who needed the procedure a lot more. This comment made me feel rushed and as though I was wasting their time for not agreeing, rather than being respected as a patient making an informed decision. I understand medical recommendations, but patient consent and respectful communication should always come first. Unfortunately, I did not feel listened to or supported during this visit. My family and I have been here multiple times with no problems. But this experience was definitely not worth coming anymore.

While the staff at that office was fine, I was not impressed with the dentist himself. He seemed distant and cold, just not very caring. So I went on a search for another dentist for his next visit. Found Dr Kempton and was very impressed. Great bedside manner and he seems to genuinely care about my kids' teeth. Never had a problem with the staff in regards to scheduling or billing either. The office is spacious and nice with toys, tablets, movies, and an aquarium to help keep the kids occupied. My kids also look forward to getting their prize at the end of the visit. We've since moved and sorry that we'll have to find another pediatric dentist. Don't hesitate to visit this office, I'm sure you'll be very happy with them.

BEWARE! I took 3 of my children to this office last week for…read moreroutine cleanings and check up. They applied sealant to my 7 year old's teeth. This is something I am familiar with as I have 3 older children. Followed instructions (was advised to wait 30 minutes to eat; it was at least an hour before he ate anything). After the appointment, a white spot was observed on his permanent front tooth. Didn't think too much about it until we couldn't brush it off, floss it off, pick it off at bedtime. Called the dentist and scheduled a follow up. Today, we went back in for this follow up. The first dentist comes and tries to scrape off this chunk of sealant from his front tooth and is unable. Consults second dentist who says this happens when kids eat too soon (my son 100 percent did not eat or drink anything until long after the prescribed 30 minute window) and to keep scraping. Dentist 1 goes back to scraping and gets the sealant off but there is now a DENT in my son's front, permanent tooth. She says she couldn't have caused this and tries to say the dent was already there (and they just happened to have dropped a chunk of sealant in that exact same spot?). Office manager comes and says we can consult another dentist about a filling. I am livid at this point. Other dentist is in a procedure so we wait. Meanwhile my son is laying there whining about how his tooth and gums hurt from the pressure applied to remove the sealant. 3rd dentist comes; this is the one who saw my son last week. She scrapes for a bit, more sealant comes off, defect still present. She tries the same line of "groves/dent already there." Says she can try to drill off remaining sealant. I asked if that would damage his enamel and she said, "it could." I'm obviously not a dentist so I ask her what should we do then. Her office has damaged my son's front permanent tooth, what is your suggested course of action. She starts scraping again and actually gets it all off. No dent, smooth tooth. And acts like I'm the crazy one because this place made a mistake, failed to correct it over an over, and it took a fight to even get this rectified. All the while being treated like I'm the problem for advocating for my son when they made the mistake in the first place. I understand stuff happens but once it does, accountability is KEY and this place doesn't have it. Please think twice before choosing Yuma Dentistry 4 Kids and be prepared to advocate strongly for your children if/when they screw up.
