So A WHOLE month again still no resolution!!! I've called the office manager (who claims will call me back but never does) can't give me a straight answer!! She had sent the request of have this claim written off but per her words "it's up to corporate" so it seems that corporate does not give a dam about the patient only money!!! The clinic is the one who made the mistake and yet I'm the one having to jump through hoops. The last time I talked to the office manager she stated corporate has not responded to her and that I should call their grievance dept to open up a case!!! So you're telling me yall messed up and I have to fix it!!!! Yea this place and the WHOLE WESTERN DENTAL Corp should have their license revoked for bad practice and bad patience service!!!! Horrible service . Waiting time is about 2 hours. After the check-up, the dentist said I had 2 cavities . They requested payment before the service , which I paid . The day of my appointment to fill the cavities, the dentist changed his diagnosis to only 1 cavity. Requested a refund, and they were giving me false information. Later, the office manager said the company had made an audit and that I owed money from services redered 3 years ago. I don't recommend Western Dental. Bad practices. Bad customer service. read more

Glad Western Dental is very accommodating, when it comes to accepting HMO insurances. So many dentists are snooping at them, not enough profits. Sometimes Western Dental got scheduling issues but their quality of work is there and my family is happy with their dental results. read more

Do not even try to go to this place. Took my mother who is elderly. They said she needed dentures and they needed to remove all of her teeth to place them. After they remove the teeth, they come up with her needing additional work in order for the dentures to work costing almost $3k. Shady business. They don't tell you the correct information upfront and they bill your insurance and make you pay for things you don't need. Beware. Please remember that dentist are not governed by the board of medicine. They aren't really checked by the dental association on work and procedures done it's all up to them. So please be careful and do your research before you agree to additional work that is not needed and stay away from this place. read more

Made dental appointment, called number on website and later found out it was corporate, but later called the El Centro office directly to find out the appt hadn't been scheduled. The receptionist, I think it was Shirley? needs some customer service workshop/training. It wasn't my fault that, according to her, they have issues with them. Had to find a dentist in Mexicali. US economy is hurting but now I know why with these kind of employees. She said she'd call me back today at 1ish..still waiting for her call at 5:20pm. The El Centro Staff are the best! Very organized and efficient with appointments and follow ups. Due to having moved to San Diego, I now am switching offices to a San Diego location, which I hate that I have to switch. Cynthia has been super helpful in the process from when I first went in to get braces and now helping to streamline my transfer to a location near me. I greatly appreciate her professionalism and patient care. The Orthodontist is excellent, very personable yet professional. The Ortho assistants have all been great, one being Gabby (sorry, I don't remember other names). Thank you El Centro Office for providing quality patient care. read more

Bad customer service. I will be reporting to the board. Not HIPPA compliant at all. Front office staff gossiping about patients when they left the office. My appointment was made for a procedure was only given pain meds as time did not allow for treatment. However, when I called I made it clear I was pain. I thought by going to a franchise we would have had a good experience. I was sooooooo wrong. My husband has been getting calls to reschedule his appointment over 5 times now. When I asked the staff why they said because he was scheduled for the wrong procedure at the wrong time. How does this happen over 5 times. He went in to the initial appointment back in Oct 2019 to make a plan for his teeth and they've rescheduled him since. This is the worst experience I've had my entire life. I saw Dr Roderick Pangilinan. He looked at my front tooth and quoted $5,000.00 to fix it. I went to get a second opinion from a different dentist and he fixed the tooth for $500.00. What is even more interesting is right after he quoted me $5,000.00, his lady assistant shows up with a credit application saying 'we will get the credit approved for $5,000.00.' Had I said yes, I would today be stuck with $5,000.00 in debt! When later I went back to request a copy of his diagnosis, it showed a total cost of $20,000.00! He was billing the remaining $15,000.00 to my insurance company. I was baffled! Please be very cautious when seeing him. And yet another interesting plot - before I even saw him, a young lady shows up with a cell phone asking me to fill out a review and she was extra vigilant to make sure that I was clicking the right buttons to give them an outstanding review! No wonder Dr. Roderick (Rod) has five star reviews. Can you imagine how much money he is making each day by getting credits approved on false quotations. Dr. Rod is putting the entire el centro community in financial debt, especially with large population of seniors on a tight budget. This place is horrible and I would not refer anyone to this office!!! No need in making an appointment for a simple cleaning I was in the waiting room and hour and in the chair for another 3 hours. Point and period scheduled for a root canal took off of work pull my kid out of school just to be told the made this magical phone call that was never made the day before that the changed her appointment an hours difference and that they would try and reschedule her the same day... after waiting an hour they had the wrong procedure scheduled for her and she wouldn't be seen for what she needed. So I left a review about almost exactly one month ago based on my experience at Western Dental as far as the waiting game went. However I'll preface this by saying that I'm currently in the military and recently had to go and get a dental exam and long story short all of the fillings that Western Dental "supposedly" filled have to be re-done less than just about a month later due to the poor quality of fillings that I have received there . The doctor conducting my exam in laments terms stated that the filling appears to be leaking . Even potentially longer story short never again will these people get my business. This place is unprofessional. I booked an appointment to get a general checkup. The lady at the front desk didn't understand how to do my insurance ( I have tricare ) She kept asking me questions as if I know how to do her job. Shouldn't they be trained in how to do their job even with unfamiliar insurances? I had to be rescheduled because they couldn't figure out my insurance. I came in a second time because my insurance was finally all sorted out but was told that they couldn't take me because they were overbooked. So I booked an appointment then and there for the same time, just a couple days later. Then on my day of appointment I get a call 30 mins before my appointment that they won't see because they are overbooked again. Why would you book more people than you can handle. Clearly this is a recurring issue with this dentristy so they need to sort this out. Fix your appointment booking and retrain you front desk to know how to do their job read more

Terrible organization and time management skills. It's rare that your 20 minute appointment (such as getting your braces tightened) has a waiting time of less than one hour. They have to realize that they aren't the only ones putting in time and effort. The people in the waiting room have appointments that they have moved around their work, school, and life schedules for. There has been many a time that yet have called me up to the counter (after waiting for an hour plus) and asked if they could reschedule my appointment. If you're understaffed why do you wait ALMOST TWO HOURS to ask the person to come back another day? The one star is for the staff, who is just doing their best under an irresponsible and uncaring manager. read more

I have been to this site in El Centro 3 times and I have had great service. Just had my wisdom teeth extracted and Dr. Barry who travels once a month to do sedation for wisdom teeth extractions was very nice and pleasant. Dr. Rod is also very nice, quick and efficient. My only complaint is that I wish more procedures could be done in a single office visit, but I believe this is due to my insurance type. read more

I scheduled an appointment here over a week ago for my son. I received an email and text message confirmation regarding my son's appointment, however, when I showed up, they said they had no record of my son's appointment and that they could not see him because the dentist had already gone home for the day. They close at 7pm and our appointment was at 5pm, yet there was no dentist there to see my son. I live in Yuma, an hour away, and received no notification from Western Dental that they would no be able to see my son. I had to plan my whole day around this appointment, and this was nothing but a waste of time. This is absolutely ridiculous and they could not have been more unprofessional. Find another dentist, one that can keep their appointments and won't disregard your time as invaluable. read more

This place is a joke. Doctor leaves whenever he wants even when patients are scheduled for the day, then his staff pretends they have no clue that you have an appointment. The staff blames corporate for their mistakes. They lock the doors before 5pm, yet their hours on the window states they are open until 7pm!!!!!! Do yourself a favor, don't schedule an appointment with this office. If you do, you'll just end up with a headache and extremely frustrated. UPDATE: After talking on the phone for OVER AN HOUR with "upper management" nothing has been resolved. I was told that if no patients are at the office at 4:30pm, the doctor leaves for the day. Doesn't matter if he has appointments made for later in the day. He decides that at 4:30pm his work day is over if no one is at the office. This is completely unprofessional. read more

Western Dental, for me has always provided SLOW, INCONSIDERATE SERVICE. I have been several times and EVERY TIME I set up an appointment, they cannot take me at the time THEY agreed to take me. The wait times are anywhere from 1 hour to 3.5 hours and the last time I showed up for my appointment, they kept me waiting 2.5 hours. Then after sitting in the chair again waiting for the Dentist for another 45 minutes, I was told by the Dentist that I needed to provide the "paper work" in order to complete the filling that I was "scheduled" for. First of all, WHY do they even set up the appointment if they are going to need paper work and second of all WHY would they not tell me when I arrived (at least) that they need paperwork before having me wait hours?? They are disorganized and VERY POORLY MANAGED! My Wife has now been waiting for a referral from them for over a month with NO CALL BACK like they SAID they would!! WOW! They actually lied to us by telling us they would call back, but they do not. They are the WORST DENTAL clinic I have ever been to in my life, and I'm almost 60 years old, so I've been to many.... and the only reason they even get ONE star is because they don't offer ZERO! DON'T EVER GO THERE WITH THE CURRENT STAFF!! This place is a joke, unprofessional, disorganized, uncaring, scattered, dishonest, and quite frankly, their cleanliness in NOT up to Dental Standards! I am considering filing a grievance to have this place shut down if I don't see immediate and tremendous improvement!
