You won't see me giving any less than 5 stars to General Aviation airports, I'm biased like that,…read morebut El Monte really is a gem. It's situated along the Rio Hondo, most days neither a river nor hondo, but the wash gives pilots a "safe" place to abort takeoffs if something goes wrong. To all those exercising in the wash: I may or may not have hung out of a plane and yelled at you guys to mess with you. I think I saw a guy fall off his bike. I am sorry. But I did laugh. Like, pretty hard. El Monte Airport (rename it all you want, it's still KEMT) has an awesome restaurant where you sit down for....wait, this isn't a food review. My bad. Okay last note on Annia's: Aadvantage dining participant. Done. For the pilots out there: Annia's restaurant is an GA airport food rating of 5/5, not a mistake to come here. Transient is north/south facing parking just north/east of the fuel pit. Overnight parking is $5. Radar coverage around base/final is quite spotty, so keep your eyes peeled. People aren't always where they say they are, that's true anywhere. One thing I'd love to see is a courtesy car for pilots that fly in. I mean, El Monte is the closest airport to ALL THAT AUTHENTIC CHINESE FOOD. Everything goes back to food. I'm not sorry. Growing up in this area and driving down Lower Azusa, El Monte airport has been a central part of my childhood dreams. I knew I wanted to fly. By day the planes on short final coasting by would send chills down my spine and by night the colored lights turned it into a wonderland. This airport has a part of my heart and I know: I'm not alone.

This is a small airport in El monte. It used to called the San Gabriel Valley Airport. The…read moreairport is for private planes , in case you don't know. Those little planes cost as much or more than a super car like Ferrari or Lamboghani. The airport is not crowded, and anyone can go there to watch the plane takeoff. Idea is come here during weekend when the's more flight going it on. They got a large and free parking lot. Also there's a restaurant in the Airport. This is a hidden gem in El Monte, not many city in 626 or SGV has airport of its own.

I contacted numerous shuttle companies to obtain a quote for transportation to LAX for a group of 9…read morepassengers, including adults and teenagers, plus luggage and one bass drum. I was quoted prices from just ok on the high end to WHAT!! Are you kidding? I was desperate and continued searching for other options here on Yelp. I found Airport Rides and read the positive reviews, so I requested a quote. Within two minutes of sending my quote request, I received a phone call from a gentleman named Anthony. I provided Anthony with pertinent information, including the date, location, number of passengers, luggage information, and return transportation details. Within 15 seconds, Anthony provided me with a round-trip quote, tax, and tip for his drivers, which was hundreds of dollars less than what other shuttle companies had quoted me for one-way transportation. I had to confirm three times during our phone conversation whether there were any additional fees, since his price was sooo much better than anyone else's. Anthony advised me that he was the owner of his new shuttle company and that, as a new business, excellent customer service and competitive pricing were the keys to its success. I agreed to the price, and Anthony directed me to please make the reservations on his website, which I did. Within minutes, I received my email confirmation and a follow-up phone call from Anthony, thanking me for the business and the opportunity to transport my family and friends. Needless to say, I am thrilled and grateful to Anthony for the GREAT customer service and for saving me hundreds of dollars.

They communicated before pick up time to confirm. They were on time to pick up as well. Mickey was our driver. He looks intimidated, but gosh, he's so friendly once start to chat . He helped us loading/unloading with all our luggages. We'll definitely use them again for our next trip!

I flew Qantas domestically between Sydney and Melbourne, so this review is only based on their…read moredomestic service within Australia. Check-in and bag drop at Sydney was all done at self-check-in kiosks, which were simple to use. Along with online check-in up to 24 hours in advance of the flight, check-in was a smooth process all around. At Sydney Airport's Terminal 3, a dedicated Qantas domestic terminal, I was through security within five minutes. Boarding time for my flight was only 20 minutes before scheduled departure; despite this short amount of time there were no delays either. These people really don't play around with their flight hustle. Where Qantas shines is its on-board product. Not only is the usage of an Airbus A330 plane on an hour-long flight marvellous enough, the in-flight entertainment variety, which included HBO programming, was extremely impressive (I wish I had flown Qantas to Australia for 14-15 hours to enjoy it)! And to top it all off, there was A MEAL INCLUDED! On an hour-long flight! Not a full meal - just a light spinach and cheese roll and refreshment, but still included with your ticket price. In terms of on-board product and service, Qantas blows all US domestic carriers out of the water.

Qantas can't offer in-flight entertainment on a 15-hour flight?? Come ON. I get this text message…read moreapproximately 20 hours before an international flight that due to a technical fault there won't be any in-flight entertainment. Oh! But you can download your OWN MATERIAL onto your OWN personal device! Wooo! Oh THANK YOU Qantas. And I had to call them and add a second small checked bag to my trip and it cost me a whopping $250! What IS it that... you DO, Qantas? And THEN. I had submitted a request to upgrade my 15+ hour international flight to business class. Kept checking the web site and it said "pending." Tried to scan my boarding pass to board and I was denied. Go to the desk. The Qantas rep said it was still pending and for me to sit for 5 or 6 minutes then come back to the desk? There were a few other people waiting on their upgrade requests also. The airline proceed to board the ENTIRE plane then the rest of us went back up to the desk only to all be told that none of us were granted upgrades. Okaaaay? So you are telling me you knew this entire time we were not getting upgraded but you made us board last? It is disgusting how little these people value their customers. I dropped $3,200 plus another $2,000 for changing my flight and you treat me like this. Forget trying to call them for anything otherwise you will be on hold for hours. Not exaggerating. For my first long 15 hour flight I got a cranky flamboyant flight attendant who got salty every time passengers asked him for anything. I had vegetarian meal selected on my reservation but they did not have it in their system. For one of the hot snacks h this guy plunks a warm rectangular cardboard box into my hands and the guy next to me and rushes off. The guy sitting next to me apparently was a vegetarian also. He and I sniffed the box and it smelled like meat. The guy asked the cranky flight attendant what it was and he said sausage roll. We both handed our box back to him and asked if we could have a meatless snack. Here came the attitude. He huffed and said he would check if there were any cheese and crackers but of course he never came back. For the price of these tickets and baggage you would think they would be a little nicer to their customers. I am so fed up with this airline for so many reasons. It is unfortunate that there are so few airline choices to Australia. I would have liked to go into the Qantas Lounge before one of these longer flights but unfortunately you can't buy a pass. You can sign up for the club for I think $800 a year but why bother? *update* Oh my gosh to add insult to injury. I was on QF 935 Brisbane to Perth. I asked the cranky flight attendant (her name tag said "Lyft") for a glass of champagne with my breakfast. And she is like "oh I don't know if we have that. Oh wait. Yes we do but that's only for business. And YOU are in economy. A five and a half hour flight and no drinks? And I paid $450 one way? Oh ok. The luggage conveyor belt has been stopped for over a half hour. Angry customers waiting on luggage. Keep on truckin' Qantas.
