The windshield on our "Mint condition" / beloved BMW coupe had gotten so micro-pitted that it wouldn't clean. The careful, highly skilled (and very friendly and communicative) staff and technicians at Bill's Glass did a STELLAR job with a new windshield, including removing the remnants of a quite sloppily done replacement, from several years previous. They also noticed how ill-fitting our windshield wipers were (aftermarket from Costco) and replaced those with CORRECT, lower profile blades. They are a delight to do business with. I recommend WAY WAY over "Safelight" or other shops. read more

I've tried to get my issue with Bill's Glass resolved, to no avail. Last summer I had them install a few new residential windows at our rental, one which was in the 2nd story "loft" area, impossible to access without a ladder. The unit was vacant, so I met the installers there and asked them to leave the key in the keybox when they left. When I arrived the following day, I immediately noticed handprints all over the windows. I cleaned the the windows I could reach, but couldn't clean the one in the 2nd story "loft" area. I went to Bill's Glass and spoke to them (I don't call them because the woman who answers their Medford phone number has the worst customer service skills EVER!). The woman in the office is very nice. Yes, she said they normally clean windows during installation. Yes, they will go back and clean that 2nd story window. I assumed they had. My renters moved in, stayed for 6 months, and after they moved out, I went to the rental to inspect, and what's the first thing I notice? Handprints all over the 2nd story window that Bill's Glass said they would clean. I went back to Bill's Glass and explained the situation. I also stated that I had cleaned all of the other windows that they installed, and that I would gladly clean this one, too, except that I don't have a ladder tall enough to reach it. Again, the woman in the office was very nice. Yes, they will go over there and get that window cleaned. So, maybe they went there, I don't know. All I know is that the window is still covered with handprints (many VERY obvious handprints, and very unsightly). They may have gone over there and cleaned the outside of the window, I don't know. I'm guessing that during installation, the installers got their hand/palm/finger prints all over the INSIDE of the window. And I told them them this and specifically asked them to be sure they checked/cleaned the inside of the window, too. And with as much money as I paid Bill's Glass, I shouldn't also have to pay to clean up their work. Obviously, I'm going to have to. I considered going to Bill's Glass AGAIN and asking to speak to a supervisor, but I give up. I've tried. I have to wonder: If they installed windows at a million dollar house, would they leave palm/fingerprints all over the windows? When I need glasswork again, whether residential or auto, I will definitely NOT be working with Bill's Glass in the future, nor would I ever recommend them. The installers were polite and friendly, the woman in the Medford office is polite and friendly, but I also pay for work to completed AS IT SHOULD BE and as a window/glass business, one of the top priorities should be to have those new windows looking clean when the installers leave the jobsite!! read more

I stopped by this morning to get a chip filled on my car windshield. Within a few minutes, a tecnician looked at the chip, and explained that it was not damaged to the extent that repair was needed. He explained what to look for in the future to determine when repair was necessary. He could have filled the chip and charged me, and I would not have known the difference. I greatly appreciate their honesty and clarity, and if/when I need glass work, I'll certainly go back to Bill's Glass. read more

Showed up for an appointment made well in advance. Was told to expect 2-3 HOURS due to lack of staffing; only 1 technician qualified to replace a windshield is currently employed. I appreciate the honesty, but not what I was expecting when I made an appointment well in advance. They did an ok job and had the job done in ~2.5 hours. There is a small couch and 2 chairs inside the office/front counter area IF you need to wait onsite. Walking distance (ish) to multiple casual restaurants and Trader Joe's if you are so inclined. Next time I'll probably just call a mobile service to come to me. Prices are comparable with other quotes in the area (no hidden fees). ~$145 for the windshield and about the same cost to install the windshield + supplies (adhesive and moulding) = ~$360 for an after market windshield replacement/install. *1 YEAR WARRANTY on work done. read more

Called and was told to walk in. I needed the seal around the top of my windshield fixed because it had come loose. When I went, they were busy and asked me to come back the next day. Showed up the next morning and they got me in right away. With in 10 minutes they had glued it back in and returned the keys. No charge! read more

We cannot recommend Bills Glass enough. We are traveling and spending a few days in Medford. Unfortunately our truck was broken into with the passenger window smashed. We didn't have much in there, thank heaven, but we didn't know how in the world we could get that window fixed before we had to leave. Our insurance company steered us to Bills Glass. My husband talked to Brooks who wasn't sure anything would work because they were booked up until July 10! Ugh! After triple checking for us, a cancellation was found TODAY and they fit us in there! But inquiring minds want to know, how often do the 6th graders picket the hilarious motley collection of lime green buildings demanding a retraction for defamation? They don't festoon their parking lot with ugly blown glass flamingos just to let you know they are a glass business. We had used Bill's Glass after originally using their competitor first, Ferrel's Glass. Ferrel's did a crappy job on my motorhome windshield, lied to us multiple times, and gave me the runaround. Do not ever use Ferrel's, they are crooked!!!. Bill's fixed Ferrel's bad work for us timely and with quality. Hands down worst company I've ever tried to work with! I had scheduled my mirrored glass and showered glass over 6 months ago! I've gotten excuse after excuse to why I'm still in limbo! I first was told it was due to covid, that the company they work with shut down. I've been told that my order has come in 3 times wrong, and they had to reorder! I've been told that all there guys have quit and they don't have installers. Finally, I was told that they were going to pass my order on to one of their associates that they work with, that they will be in touch with me! After waiting 2 more months and no calls, I called Bills back to see what was going on??? I was told they didn't know and would call me back! It's been 3 days with no call back!! My patio door glass inexplicably cracked in August 2022. After checking around I was advised that Bill's glass was the only company that could provide that replacement glass. After paying $ 200 of the $ 400 dollar deposit, they told me that it would take 8 weeks to get the replacement glass. When the panel arrived, they sent an inexperienced kid to install it. He messed up and admitted that he did not do it right and that he would get an experienced person to come and fix it. They never called so I called again and they said they were short staffed and would clll me. THEY NEVER CALLED. I called them again today Dec 8 12022 and they said that their job was well-done an again they are short staffed and asked me to get it fixed my self at my cost. AVOID THEM LIKE A PLAGUE. THEY ARE JUST NOT UP TO DOING A DECENT COMPLETE JOB AND DO NOT BELIEVE IN CUSTOMNER SERVICE. read more

Mike Comer showed up in a mask, which we especially appreciated during this pandemic, and used a drop cloth to keep our floor clean. He replaced two large damaged glass panels in our front doors as well as two windows and did a fine, quick job. He was on time, acted professionally and made sure to leave everything spotlessly clean. While here, we asked him about a problem with another window that had occasional condensation between the double panes. Mike diagnosed the problem, took a few moments to correct it with some minor caulking and refused to take anything for this additional service. By so doing, he saved us the cost of a future service call and brought us peace of mind. We cannot recommend Bill's Glass and Mike Comer too highly. read more

Walked in on a Monday, paid upfront for my "special" side mirror to get fixed on my truck, showed up Friday and they ordered the wrong mirror. So I come back Monday at 430 but they are already closed up. I was told "sorry I let everyone go early" showed up the following Friday at 8am first customer in the door. They fixed it finally but now when I drive my whole mirror shakes and I can't even see out of it. Not sure if I just caught them on 4 separate bad days or if they need new employees. I have been trying to get my window fixed since October 2019. First they told my property manager the job was done. Not! Then I called them in December to schedule an appointment. They never called back. Then I called them again after Christmas. Nice job and service, quickly done, priced right Quarter sized ding in the windshield, with a spider radiations. Trusty Yelp sent me to Bill's, where I was assured repairing it would be fine, the windshield didn't need to be replaced. They were right, it lasted for 8 months, then at Easter, another rock smacked the window, smaller ding this time. Before I could get into Bill's to check the new owie, the temp hit high levels and a crack developed running toward but not reaching the first repair. So, this time, they did the whole windshield. I almost gave them three stars for the rating, because the shower door did turn out nicely, but with problems. One of the sliding doors hits a screw in the track rather than hitting the bumper (why didn't the installer notice this when he put the shower door in?). This is a new addition, so we haven't really been using that bathroom. I noticed last night that there was dirt/gunk on the floor and tried to wipe it off ... Turns out it was adhesive used in the installation of the shower door and I spent almost an hour using Goop Off and paper towels on my knees (ON MY BRAND NEW FLOOR!) to get it all off. It looked like the installer put adhesive on the bottom of the door track and then set it on the floor! There was a 3" wide line of adhesive that was the worst, then it was tracked all over the floor. When we called them about the glass hitting the screw problem, they said they would call us right back with a time that someone would be out. They never called, even after we called twice. I called yesterday and was told that they left two messages for us, but we never returned their calls. Turns out they were leaving a message on someone else's phone. I know it's an old research method, but if they had looked in the PHONE BOOK, they would have found the home phone listed. When someone finally came out today to look at the problem, the contractors working on the siding had to tell him to take his shoes off before he went into the house. It's rained and there is mud everywhere and this guy had to be reminded not to track the mud into our new addition with new carpeting?? I think I should have gone with someone else. read more

3 months after getting our windshiled repaired it broke again. They told me there is no warranty for something hitting the glass which is un clear if that happemed or not. Which I guess a lot of places do the same. It also seemed to be possibley improperly installed. The guy on the phone was not that nice. So to get it redone going elsewhere and hoping for the best. read more

Unreliable. Had an appointment booked between 10-12, and confirmed at the time I had to leave by noon. No contact at all by 1130. Rang to see if someone was still coming and as told they would have the engineer contact me. Didn't contact me back until after I went out at 12pm, arranged to come at 6pm. I called at 6pm to find out where he was and he said he wouldn't be here until later, didn't know what time. What a bunch of time-wasters. read more

Stopped by Bill's glass today to pick up a piece of glass that was ordered for a customer. I had a phone call and was sitting in my car in front of the building talking to a customer. After about 5 min a lady came out of the building and stared at me till I rolled my window down. I asked my customer to hold then rolled the window down and she said " can I help you". I told her I was on a phone call and I had a piece of glass to pick up. I was told my headlights (daytime running lamps and only one of them) were shining in her showroom. I said ok and turned them off. Then she told me if I ordered glass I wasn't at the right place and I needed to go around the corner. I just got a bad feeling from it. I'd never do that to a customer. It felt pretty rude. But they did have the glass ready to go when I went to the other building. read more

I appreciated the friendly, helpfulness when I made the appointment to get my windshield replaced and the installation of the new windshield seems to have gone well. HOWEVER, a LOT could be said for the LACK of manners when I entered the reception area. The thing that caught me off guard was the fact that I wasn't greeted with even a "hi" or "hello", but instead I was talked at without even looking at me or making eye contact to let me know I was being addressed. There were no smiles and little to no eye contact. I was caught off guard and wondered if I was the one being talked to. It left me feeling on edge; like I was just a transaction and not even a person. Later, when I waited for the customer in front of me to pay I noticed that he wasn't being looked at either. The young lady behind the desk talked at the air without even looking at him. It was the same way with me. I left feeling apprehensive and ignored. It weirded me out so much I took the time to write this review. A greeting doesn't cost anything and helps the customer to feel seen and valued. That's not what I felt here. Such a shame. read more

Brought car in that morning when they opened at 8:00 for my 11:00 appointment and much to my surprise the called shortly after 11:00 to let me know they finished way before the time allotment. Made my day and was able to pick up my vehicle without interruptions to my work. I have always had a great experience here. Over the years I have had a windshield replaced once on two separate vehicles and rock chip repair done 5-6 times. They have very reasonable prices for both services. One of the windshields replaced I noticed the glass was imperfect, warped at eye level for the passenger. I asked what they could do to remedy the less then stellar glass and I was told to just let them know the details of the windshield and they would order a new one and replace it free of charge. Now it would have been nice if they would have had the time to check before installing it and not have to return, but I appreciate the customer service and the willingness to remedy my disappointment.
