pork roll egg and cheese on white and home fries.

I've been coming to Bill's since I was a little girl. Every time I come home to Jersey I try to make it here at least one morning for breakfast. I brought my boyfriend here so he could try some ancient diner goodness. The waitresses have been here for as long as I can remember and the place hasn't changed one bit. The food still remains extra freakin good, cheap and quick. I don't need to look at the menu because 9 times of out 10 I'm getting home fries with a pork roll, egg and cheese sandwich and a side of orange juice and a glass of water with no ice. I remember coming here as a kid with my grandfather and some of the same old men still come here. It's nice to see familiar faces. I don't see Bill's ever changing and I hope they don't. I know my food will always be awesome and I'll always get a friendly smile and that's all that matters to me. See ya next time I'm home!

Now this is my favorite Breakfast spot around. I've been coming here for years. Amazingly enough the food never changes. Service is always great. Waffles and French toast is the best around. Definitely a go to spot if you're in the area. Sit down and enjoy breakfast, or take it to go. Either way you won't be disappointed.

Two scrambled eggs with turkey bacon and home fries. The eggs were more like an omelette but still yummy!

A $23.00 bill for three hearty breakfast plates is amazing these days! Went here with a group of six, which I don't recommend because the largest tables only seat four. We got lucky getting two booths next to each other because the place was super packed. They were quick to take our orders and prepare the food. The menu has standard diner/cafe type entrees. Breakfast, sandwiches, burgers, and sides. I ordered two scrambled eggs with turkey bacon and home fries, and surprisingly it wasn't greasy or overly salty. I really enjoyed my meal. I guess the only issue was my scrambled eggs weren't scrambled but solid like an omelette. Still delicious though.

It is a very nice restaurant; Large, but not overbearing. I could see going here either on date night, or with 2 more couples. Our server Patrick was fantastic from the beginning of the night, straight through to the end. He was friendly, and very efficient. Chef/owner Scott came out from the kitchen to greet us and other patrons, and was gracious to everyone. Onto the food. The Duck Tacos and Mussels were very tasty. I think I might put a call into Chef and have him make me a bottle of that Mussels sauce to take home with me. Then came the crisp Caesar Salad, which kept everything bright. To finish, we had the Black Cod and Duck Confit, both of which were very well balanced and cooked perfectly. Oh, and the Guava-glazed Brussels Sprouts were a perfect side. Next time, I want to try one or two of their desserts. All-in-all, we had a great experience, and the night was a success. Chef, see you soon. I might just bring a large mason jar for some sauce!..

My old phone was taking blurry pics from far away so I wasn't able to capture it, but think very cozy, fireplace with candles glowing from within, and little alcoves in the wall for candle clusters. It was perfectly elevated while still being casual and approachable. When we came there was a Mac and cheese special with pulled bbq pork on top. I knew we had to get that because it is right up my husbands alley. It did not disappoint, my husband was tempted to order some to take home! The pasta was super creamy and cheesy, mixed with the roasted pulled smoky bbq pork on top, it was the ultimate comfort food for the cold rainy day we were having. For my meal I got the Grilled Cheese which is more of an elevated "grown up" grilled cheese. It had cheese, thin apple slices, fig jam and bacon. The flavors were great, I only wish there was a little more cheese or a little less jam to balance the sweet and savory a little more, because for me it was a touch too sweet. The sourdough it was made with was delicious and fresh, I also appreciate that they don't seem to soak their grilled cheese in oil like a lot of places do (butter or nothing, please!!) My husband ordered the burger which he really enjoyed but nothing was going to top the pulled pork Mac and cheese for him. They should consider adding it to the regular menu! He originally wanted the duck sandwich but it was unavailable on this day. All in all it was a cozy afternoon together. Our waitress was very friendly and made sure to check on us without ever being too overbearing.

One of the times I went was on a Wednesday and the place was packed our wait was about 20 mins and it was well worth it. The menu changes daily so don't go back expecting to get the same thing you ordered the last time. To be quite honest of all the items I ordered two did not stand out although sounding promising The lobster roll, the bread was mediocre and the filling was scarce. The pizzette was also ehhh. Nothing impressionable. However the oysters, fully dressed and ready for consumption were pops of freshness and flavorful jellies exploding in your mouth. The corn was a nice touch. The mussels were in this sauce that was to die for. Full of garlic and creaminess paired with about 3 slices of sourdough bread perfect for soaking. The crostini appetizer, drooling thinking about it. Prosciutto with honey and mozzarella is the best combination.now for the chicken Milanese. Perfectly crisp with tomatoes I'm not sure what they put in the salad but delicious! Overall it's worth a happy hour with great deals. And even the dinner entrees are worth the visit. Third time back will be soon.

Visited on a quiet Sunday at 5:00 and because there many reservations available online, we stopped by without one. Parking lot was empty so we were hopeful for a nice dinner. Surprisingly I was quickly dismissed by the hostess once I said our party of three did not have a reservation because they were completely booked. Her option was to wait and sit in the dining room way in the back. This did not sound appealing. It took me some convincing and time for her to finally get approval to accommodate us at a perfect table overlooking the lake in the first dining room. We were the only people in the dining room and when we left, there were just two other filled tables at 7:00. Not sure what rules the hostess was following! Now to the food. Oysters excellent, wedge much better at sister restaurant La GrigLia, meatballs and penne swimming in sauce and sloppy, potato crusted snapper was plain fried fish with limited sauce and pasta with seafood was good. The restaurant is small and comfy, with 4-seat tables lined up against one wall and the opposite wall being taken up by a counter and counter seats. The restaurant's color scheme is very "latte", as the main colors are white and beige and only one part of the wall is red. Daughter ordered the fried flounder with 2 over easy eggs and grits with wheat bread. She said that the fish was nicely fried and crunchy. It didn't need tartar or cocktail sauce. She said it was her first time eating a breakfast item like this and her taste buds had never felt this sensation before. LOL. Hubs ordered the pinto con chorizo with sunny side up eggs. The server warned him that the sausage was spicy, but he didn't care. When we came here, Hubs didn't expect Hispanic food for brunch and was so surprised and so happy. He found the first item that he can see and translate and was happy he did. The chorizo had a nice spunk to it. He was happy that he got rice and beans instead of home fries and what a delightful change! The chips were also nice and crispy. Lastly, I had waffles with mixed fruit. I LOVED my waffles because it was nice and crunchy. The mixed fruit were bananas, strawberries, grapes and blueberries. They were a nice touch. I was asked if I wanted whipped cream and I said yes. Coffee was freshly brewed and it was nice and strong. It wasn't ordinary diner coffee. Hubs was happy about getting his cup refilled. Service was fast and really friendly.
