I did not have a good experience in this restaurant. It is very big, but I feel as though the service was very very slow. I sat there for a good 1015 minutes before anybody even came up to me and when they did, they only took my drink order and not my food order and then it just seemed like everybody was hanging out I ended up just walking out and leaving and not getting any food. read more

First time here after passing it all the time and was pleasantly surprised. In orders the shrimp salad sandwich on toasted rye bread. It was really good. I don't like when places cut the shrimp up so tiny and this place did not so that at all. There were whole shrimp in it. My date ordered the burger deluxe andnhensoadnitnwas onay. have been here multiple times and always meet my expectations. I love their chicken and shrimp quesadillas and shrimp scampi! The service is good and the waitress is usually very friendly. The place always looks busy but still is able to make the orders in only 15-20 minutes after I call in which is always great. However, the hostess/waitress attitude was terrible and because of her nasty attitude, she was the cause of the other waitress not receiving a tip. Also the bathroom was disgusting. See the pic. I ate here today because my family lives in Plainfield and my sister likes this place. So I decided to give it a try. My first impression of this place upon walking in is it's a little outdated needs some work. The service was extremely slow although the restaurant was not crowded. They tell you to seat yourself anywhere so we choose a window booth. It was covered with crumbs from previous patrons. I guess they don't clean after each visitor. I don't eat meat so I ordered the breakfast quesadillas with cheese only. The waiter was writing on a notepad which was normal. We waited awhile for our food. It finally comes and low and behold it has bacon on it. They walk away so quickly after dropping off your food. I had to track another waitress down to say I ordered it without meat. She snatched the plate from my hand proceeded to speak in her language to the other workers. I asked my sister and brother-in-law if they heard my order they both said yes, you said cheese only no meat. I said ok I'm not f'n crazy so why she mad at me. She finally brings back a new order as I was about to say thanks she slams the plate down in front of me. I checked to see if there was meat, there wasn't any. I started eating my food and my family is now done because they took long with my order. The quesadilla was good the home fries was dry and crunchy and didn't taste fresh. I ordered a side of grits that was good . So after we finished eating we're waiting about 20 minutes to receive the bill. Finally we all get up to walk to the register and to my surprise they were hand writing up the bill and had multiple calculators adding up our bills. I was shocked we're in 2024 and they're using calculators to add up bill and hand write out what you had and taking price from menu . They really need to get some updated equipment in this place. I love this place. Back in the day the place needed some work but nowadays its owned and operated all in the family, the servers are awesome. The menu has a Spanish influence to it and it makes for a really unique spot to stop in. My favorite things to get here is the French casserole and a side of disco fries. Can never go wrong. The atmosphere is typical, a diner experience but the atmosphere is not what I came here looking for. I came for my casserole and fries and they never leave me upset! read more

This place was ok. They were fast and able to seat us within a few minutes. I was hesitant on going here but decided to give it a try I was somewhat pleased. The decor is a bit outdated table and curtains look very old. The home fries were very dry with no flavor. I asked for cheese and on my grits and it was literally the cheese that comes in the individual plastic wraps slapped on top and not melted. Kind of a disappointment there. This is an order of chicken in the basket. They charge $9.99 for it. 2 medium sized pieces and a wing and a drumstick that are about 2 inches long each. Isn't the idea behind a panini that when you press it the bread gets crisp, the cheese melts and you can eat it like a sandwich. My Greek chicken panini was so soggy everything fell off of it when it tried to pick it up. Chicken had so much gristle that I could barely cut it with my knife. French fries were sprayed with that crap that makes them look alien, and taste bleh! You can grow old waiting for a waitress even though only 3 tables were occupied. I went to this diner on Wednesday, June 7, 2017. The food was horrible. My florentine omlette was burnt. My whole wheat toast was burnt. My home fries were burnt. The food tasted as if they don't clean the grill often. Yuck! I cannot fathom why the waitress brought the plate to me when everything on it looked burnt to a crisp. I am not a fan of sending my food back. Therefore, I paid the bill and left a tip without complaining to anyone. I only gave them one star because I could not give them zero stars. Good place if you want a big breakfast. The food is good, the last time I went I customized the Spinach & Feta omelette to add steak & mushrooms. It was pretty good, a little bland for my taste, I had to add salt, pepper & hot sauce to make it good for me. I previously had the Corned Beef Hash & Eggs, that was good, I'd get it again. This was a take out order...maybe it will be different eating it there. BUT I ordered a feta omelette with home fries and Rye toast, the eggs weren't that great; tasted powdery. I also tried the scrapple (open your minds people!) and, although I prefer it a bit crisper and will order it so next time, the seasoning was so unique and tasty that it must be a personal recipe.
