She remembered that I had asked about MOCHA MUFFINS weeks after I had asked her about them. Sadly, those muffins and coffee flavor both have not returned. Wish the muffins& coffee would become a standard and not a "Limited edition." Also MARY, who works early mornings, is a hard worker and always friendly. When I was working (retired now) I used to stop in for coffee every morning on my way to work. I got to know Mary from our brief chats. I love your "not from concentrate" ORANGE JUICE in cartons. Also I often buy the SHERBET that has lime flavor (along with orange and raspberry). GENE, at the gas pumps, is always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. People on the NEXT DOOR WEBSITE recently spoke about how much they liked him, and preferred going to Quick Check for gasoline instead of the Shell station, which is closer to us in Panther Valley(PV). All the attendants working the gas pumps at Quick Check are nice. The biggest and common complaint about the Shell station at PV Mall is the rudeness of one particular man who works there. So people go to Quick Check instead. Wish Quick Check was located where 7-11 is now! I could walk down there. Thus, I had the honor of having my gas pumped for me by a Wawa "Fuel Associate." A fitting title. As an Alabamian, I imagined that fuel associates were the mecca of all casual social interaction, that the gas station was a metaphorical 'water cooler' situation. Alas, it has been made known to me that you do not really speak to the gas station attendants. I could tell he found me odd for rolling down the window to strike up some chit chat. I informed him that in my neighborhood, he'd be out of a job because I know how to do this. He informed me "I'm about to quit anyway." Four stars.

The positive experiences here outweigh the negative, so I'm not lowering it down to 1 or 2 stars; truth is, even those stations I've given top reviews to in the past (the Delta across the street from the VA hospital, as the main example) have occasionally had gas pump jockeys with their masks down around their chins rather than across their faces. And I've come to the depressing conclusion that maybe I'm a little too obsessive about maskless gas pump jockeys and snotty grocery store clerks unwilling to bag groceries. Maybe I need to lighten up just a bit. But...in the interests of full disclosure...you as a consumer having an attendant pump your gas while masked is not necessarily a sure thing here. Still...service is quick and efficient, gas is still relatively cheap (although, given the recent machinations of the Russian Mafia in the oil fields of Houston..."relatively cheap" is very relative indeed!), and the attendants, masked or unmasked, are reasonably civil and friendly. It also occurs to me that a full assessment of a gas station would involve their bathroom facilities, and whatever food/cigarettes/cold-drink "market" they have set up, but I never use gas station bathroom facilities (unless I'm traveling to another state), and I certainly don't buy food in a gas station (I bought a container of milk in one once, and it was sour). Given all that, I'm still willing to patronize this place.

The gas is relatively inexpensive. The staff is full and helpful - gas is pumped fast and accurately. The shop inside is stocked fully and there is lots of space to make purchases, stretch, clean your car windshield or take a quick break from the road! There is no key for the public restroom which is a godsend when you are traveling from afar or if your family needs a long-awaited break. There are not many other food options nearby but the shop inside this Shell station makes up for it all, as it has almost all snack, candy bars, chips drinks and sodas available. Review: 5 star class
