Worst ever! Had to wait over 6 hours in the blazing sun on the side of Hwy 101 next to the 116 off ramp, which is just a few miles from their location/offices. They keep telling me it would only be 20 more minutes- but it was over 6 hours! Argh! During regular business hours, in the afternoon. Not like it was the middle of the night or something. They simply kept lying to me. These guys are terrible- save yourself and call someone else- anyone else!! read more

Recently my BMW X3 decided to break down. AAA dispatched the tow truck company. 3 stars for the speediness and friendliness of the driver. 1 star for the driver dropping off my bmw at the mercedes dealership. Lol. Which then resulted in another tow truck needing to be called for vehicle to be towed to the correct dealership. Bummer. read more

This review is for the driver named John. My Prius had a dead battery yesterday morning, so I called Triple A and John showed up, right on time. He jumped the car with no problem, and he was a WEALTH of information about the Prius. I had been under the impression that I would soon need to replace the battery at a cost of around $5,000. He assured me that that wasn't the case, and explained why. This info was a huge relief to me. John knew WAY more about the Prius than the guy who sold it to me a few years ago. Thank you John! We didn't have a choice when our crashed car was dragged off to Bill's Tow Yard. We were in a near fatal accident and the authorities told us not to go to our car to retrieve anything. We'd just come back from a 5 night trip and we had CPAP machines and our meds in our suitcases, which we needed before going home, 50 miles away. I had called the tow company early Fri evening and told them we'd need access to our stuff after we were done at the ER or ASAP. The guy who answered the phone, said he had 6 calls to finish, but someone would be there at 9 pm. It was nearly that time when I called but we didn't have transpiration and he said to call when we were done. A relative had driven to Petaluma to take us home and I called back and left a message stating we needed to get into our vehicle to get medically related items. No one called back. I called Bill's back late Sat. a.m. and asked about getting access today or tomorrow, but was told there'd be a $100 gate access fee unless we waited til Monday. So much for helping out a family who's just had a terrible car accident to get necessary supplies! If this happens to you, insist on having authorizes retrieve necessary items before Bills locks your car up for the weekend! Karma isn't fun... read more

The tow driver was good, although later it seems that he followed the company scamming policy. The owner was not at all: he gave me grief about having my totaled car in his lot until it could be towed away by the wrecker I sold it to, even though the tow driver insisted that the car be towed to the Bill's Towing lot rather than my home in Marin, even though I had AAA+ allowing for 50 miles of free towing. I did not choose Bill's; AAA did. And then Bill's tried to get the tow charge paid by insurance rather than AAA so that they could make more money: I have never experienced such a scam before. read more

I wanted to say that I received the best & fastest service this morning from Bills Towing. I had called my tow provider AAA because I had a flat tire right as I was about to get on 101 on the West Sierra Ave South bound entrance. I don't even think it had been 10 minutes and Alex w/Bills Towing had pulled up behind me. I had told him that I was on my way to a Hike @ Mt Tam. He kindly told me that he would have it changed quickly. I don't even think 5 minutes had gone by and he said " There you go, all fixed!" I couldn't believe my eyes. I have never experienced such horrific customer service from a tow truck company. My buddy bought an old Corvette Stingray and it overheated on him. The car was temporarily registered but Farley the tow truck driver would not tow the car on his flatbed. It seems like they just didn't want to tow the car since AAA probably pays less per mile than paying cash. If it was illegal to tow a temporarily registered car why would he offer to tow it for cash? The manager Tim was rude to my friend on the phone. Definitely not a good experience. read more

I was pulling a tent trailer last night and hit a nasty pothole getting onto the bridge over the Petaluma River on 37 going west. It was so bad it pulled the trailer off the hitch and with it swerving from the chains I limped across the bridge and called AAA. They said that was not covered and so I called two towing companies and both of them were too busy and both recommended Bill's Towing. He said he would come and got there in 15 minutes and as I thought I only needed help lifting the trailer back onto the hitch which only took 5 minutes and when I asked what the charge would be he said, no it's okay, it was simple. I was so surprised and grateful that I did not even manage to insist much and got in my car and left - he even followed me for a few miles to be sure I was doing fine. Dave was amazing. I was expecting to need a tow because my car wasn't starting after numerous attempts at jumping the battery. He is very experienced with GM cars, however, and noticed a loose cable that no one else seemed to think was an issue. Not only did he help me to start my car and prevent a needless tow, but previous computer problems were also fixed! Dave saved me a ton of time, hassle, and money! Boy I really miss Bay Bridge garage in Petaluma. They used to have the AAA towing contract for the area. Now it goes to Bills Towing out of Novato. Had a need for a tow last night and driver was horrible. Did not get out of his truck, tried to argue and when my son had to turn away for a second to answer an important call related to the car...driver drove off and would not come back. There were no other trucks or drivers and this guy refused to come back. Two hours later at 1:15,am, American Tow picked up car. Bills towing Is aweful! read more

I locked my keys in my car like the idiot i am but they were here in 15 minutes and unlocked it in seconds.

My tow was just a short trip to the exhaust shop. They showed up on schedule and I paid a decent price. Ely, the driver, was very friendly and professional. It appeared to me through our interaction that he cared about my car; that eased my anxiety of having others handle my favorite toy... He even helped me take extra precautions to make sure my lowered car did not hit or scrape on anything going on/off the flatbed truck. Would use again if I get the same driver. read more

After having a horrendous morning, I was driving to grab some lunch at Hallie's Diner. On the way, I popped my front right tire... I could only laugh at this point. After working with AAA to get someone out to help me change my tire, they estimated 45 mins to an hour wait. Bill's towing arrived in 20 minutes. A guy by the name of Gio or Giovanni was prompt and courteous. He switched out my tire in 10 minutes... five times faster than what I could have attempted. Was nearly hit and had to swerve in the other lane as a Bills flatbed tow truck tried to push his way in my lane. We were hauling a trailer and he came out of nowhere. We were in the right lane and he came from the shoulder. He wanted to cut us off and then pull off on shoulder to the stranded vehicle He was in an illegal lane and pushing thru cars to get by. When he did get by he drove upside beside me (on the shoulder) and yelled "f... You" and flipped me off. Then backed up on the shoulder. Traffic was at a crawl at the time and it was completely unsafe to cut off any vehicle the way he did and then to drive up and yell. What sort of business hires these types of drivers. Completely unprofessional. I saw his shirt had a AAA emblem on it. This problem needs to be fixed. A call has been made to the business and AAA and hopefully someone will fix this problem.
