The staff were amazing. The bartenders were quick and friendly. The karaoke host knocked it out of the park. The problem was the other customers being weird and racist. I just dont know why the weirdo patrons were determined to say the n-word to me, but they did...multiple times. It was SUPER uncomfortable and incredibly offensive. I tried ignoring the first time it happened. I'd even promised the karoake host I'd return and then...yeah, later the weather changed and it was raining n-words. This place was recommended by yelpers for their karaoke experience, so we decided to check it out. It was awful. Two of the mic's were "Walmart mic's", according to the DJ. The sound was awful, the DJ was not engaging. The beers were 2-for-1, so that's why this place didn't get 1 star. Great beer deal. I was impressed by the "twofers all day every day" pricing. A double well and two domestic bottles cost just $10.00. The service at the bar was somewhat friendly, and attentive. There was a neighborhood feel, with all eyes on you as you enter the door. This bar featured plenty of TVs, two pool tables, a Golden Tee game, two electronic dart boards, a snack vending machine, a jukebox, a casino room, and a patio. Karaoke was available every evening. Yikes, yikes, YIKES. The longer I was here the more messed up I realized things were. Let me start off by saying the karaoke was what I came for. Any place that boasts nightly karaoke has my immediate attention. I arrived around 10pm on a Wednesday and could already tell there were a lot of VERY drunk people there. That's fine. Who doesn't like a little liquid courage? I bellied up to the bar and ordered a Long Island. It was before me in an instant... in that same instant I knew it was made incorrectly. Some bartenders don't know how to make some drinks... I let it go and went up to request my usual songs. After listening to a few really good, some bad and some down right comical singers, I did my thing. Here is where things went down hill. I realized there were several people who had been grossly over served and though the bartender complained to their friends and threatened to kick them out, he kept serving them more alcohol when they asked for it. This is irresponsible and dangerous. When people are falling over, you cut them off. Period. The next thing I saw really upset me. I watched the bartender make incorrect shots AND make my second drink in a way that makes me think they are ripping customers off. The group ordered Vegas Bombs which are supposed to include crown royal, peach schnapps, Red Bull and a splash of cranberry juice. I watched him pour peach schnapps, cranberry juice and a splash of Red Bull from an open can across 5 shots. Then I watched him make my drink. A shot of cheap vodka, a heavy pour of sours mix and then topped off with coke or Pepsi from the gun. I was charged $7 for this?! I was shocked. The usual recipe includes five different kinds of alcohol hence the price. This place is a total rip off and I would not recommend it to anyone. read more

Came here with my work crew while doing a training conference from out of town. Seemed like a local hangout. The beer was cold and food was great. The staff was super on point and helpful. They set up the bag toss outside for us and placed cones around the parking lot where we were playing. They were super friendly and helpful. Great time had by my team here. This is a review based PURELY on the Karaoke Quality of Billy Frogs because if you're into Karaoke you know how hard it is to sometimes find Karaoke when you're just passing through a town. Recently my buddy and I came through Sioux Falls on our quest to sing Karaoke in all 50 states (South Dakota served as #34) and we chose to spend our evening at Billy Frog's. Tabetha was the host the night my buddy and I were there and she was awesome. She was really enthusiastic about our quest and made sure that we both got to sing (she even leveled with us when the rotation got too long and we couldn't sing anymore). The crowd was jumping for a Sunday (though it was before Memorial Day) and there were lots of great singers and Midwestern Hospitality. If you're an avid Karaoker and find yourself in Sioux Falls definitely pop into Billy Frog's...also buy a Tshirt. read more

We were having a great time, and Billy Frogs is our favorite place to go. However, the DJ sang "Date Rape" by Sublime tonight, and it's safe to say we will NOT be back any time soon. But that isn't the only benefit to being sucked in to this unique atmosphere. Not only is the food delicious, but the drinks are /always/ 2fers. What's better than that? I have never been treated with such disrespect as I was in this establishment. We attended this establishment to celebrate our recent graduation from nursing school. I think it is important to note that it is an accelerated program, meaning we all have bachelor's degrees in another field and are not traditional "college" students. From the moment we exited our vehicles in the parking lot, we began to be harassed by an individual who identified as an employee of the establishment. The man was smoking by the entrance and appeared to have been drinking heavily. Because we were a group of 8, we were not so kindly asked to sit at two separate tables. One of the gentlemen with us had his seat too far back, which resulted in the man from the parking lot previously mentioned yelling profanity at us. The bartender approached us and asked him to move in closer to the table, which he did. I think it's important to mention the profanity continued from the mouth of the "employee." We sat and talked for approximately 15 minutes when management stormed in and began yelling at us that we needed to leave. At this time, the previously mentioned man grabbed a blow horn and began blowing it in our faces. He did this the entire time that we were leaving the establishment. In the parking lot, we were approached by another customer who expressed that he was appalled by what he had just witnessed. I hope that no one has to experience the poor treatment that we did at this establishment and that the actions of the individuals are being assessed, especially the man with the foul language. read more

I've been to this place many, many times.. Been a lot less these days as I don't feel the service is the same. Sitting at a table off to the side and I see the skinny blonde with a lip ring serving drinks... Yet she has still to take ours? Poor bar service. Poor table service... Glad I stopped coming.
