We paid twice as much as the Audi dealership. Bimmer Shop charged $600 for a battery change on my Audi plus diagnostics (a service that I learned is free at the Audi dealership). They also quoted $2,200 to replace my headlight (which I ended up fixing for $75 because all it needed was a new ballast). Overall, I haven't felt this ripped off in a very long time. Once the warranty on my BMW was up at bmw I found Bimmer shop to service my car since it is right next to BMW and the reviews seemed ok. I had an oil change twice at there shop. The price for the oil change is fair, but I would be careful with their recommendations. On the first oil change they fixed a bolt that needed to be tightened without getting my approval. That was an extra $100. Then they told me my air and cabin filters needed to be replaced. I turned down their recommendation and checked both filters myself and they both had very little use. On my second oil change upon picking up my car they told me I urgently needed new brake pads in the front and new filters again. I asked for a price and the receptionist told me she would get back to me. I followed up twice and never heard back, so I took my car to another reputable mechanic shop nearby. They did a full check up. They did a brake fluid flush and said my front brakes DO NOT need to be changed and have lots of padding left. They also checked the filters and said they did not need to be changed yet. I would be careful with any recommendations they give you. Unfortunately I feel like they weren't being honest with me and I can no longer do business with them for that reason. read more

If it happened to me, it can happen to you... I parked too close to a parking lot bumper in Home Depot and when I went on reverse the whole front fender of my car got stuck and it fell off. OMG!!! Not a pretty picture, I must say, and to make matters worse, it was raining... I called the pros at Bimmer Shop, and sweet Amelia gave me an estimate right away... Rf Bmw 750 First and foremost,Scott is a dissent fair / big heart, hard working person he treats me like a father /son and he always listen to me.He also finds way for customer to save money!SCOTT IS NOT GOOD AT MULTI TASKING.He has good hard working values.Hes patient with people Hes like a big brother to me he cares he listens.He also reflects on his customers & is full of joy. But there are issues with his time management & organization skills back to that shortly. Well I had an issue with my radio on a recent Saturday.I called,and he told me to come right in.He checked everything & apparently it was the headunit from his end he ran BMW DIAGNOSTIC test. I had to wait several weeks to get the unit The mechanic also with him swore that it was the ask unit and when the unit comes it would work.Well it was replaced nothing.For over a week they just did not know. Scott did apologize for a misdiagnosed on his end. Scott also charged me fair price and told me to leave the car so he would not have to recharge me again to dissemble.Anyhow they never could find out what was going on.They finally got Rallye BMW to come in on a Saturday, the car was stripped entirely but it was not put back together wires were hanging out etc. Scott also sold me a bad unit it worked but the CD would not eject.I probably never get my money back maybe unit replaced god knows when.I have receipt,but for him to do this will take a while of long waiting.The gentlemen at Rallye was a C - fair far from great he left wires out hanging from the seats also things were not put back correctly.He did take his time with the lap top but I was told I needed to replace everything. Rallye left wires hanging out from one side of the car to another.Interior seats were missing parts foam and the door molding was not put on correctly. Well Rallye and Scott gave me a rough estimate that everything would need to be replaced all the modules amp etc.I also inquired about some grease on the module.It was not there before.Scott quickly answered" Your suspension is leaking that's why there is grease on the main top modules." He then said it be over $1,000 to do the job that all my modules were bad etc for the radio to work.Scott also took a big bag and organized all my belongings from my trunk.He also stated he installed an instrument cluster Scott's office is pretty awesome he has a great selection of BMW books with history.He makes sure the customers are busy learning. On another note he has plagues of outstanding achievements that have been acknowledged but they are written in homemade chalk.The other ones are typed around in the room just sitting on some table, instead of being hung on a walk for Longisland to see.Scotts bathroom is pretty clean it never smells and it's maintenance is recorded with current tags of the pipping. Overall this kind of job radio electronics is very time consuming.It seems as if Scott needs more help with duties at the shop parts etc. On a busy Saturday a customer called for hoses.Scott said "ok on my way " customer came in Scott still in the office.Customer was concerned. Most places have several people helping office Scott takes in all the responsibilities.Yes the job is very time consuming.I finally got it done from my initial mechanic who did the job in a few hours All the modules were ok except one .The unit Scott gave me does not eject cds It will work however.I feel like my issue with the Ask Unit will not be addressed.I got my CD changer installed all cds work.The Ask Unit from Scott everything works except cds get stuck. He ordered from eBay he noted. Opinion: I will recommend the shop for other repairs there Mechanic is pretty knowledgeable with other stuff.There Mechanic knows how to multitask.He had two cars on the lift going up and down he answered the phone &helped a customer who was walking in.Scott also is honest with the dollar he seems to try to save customers money and will tell you the price before anything.He also tells the customers to pay from the ATM cash so sales tax would not be charged.. They were also helpful in discussing local climate conditions that effect car maintenance in tropic environments so that I could avoid some serious problems with the car. There's no such thing as "cheap" BMW repair especially if the technicians are certified in any way or have years of experience working on the brand. Having had lots of older BMWs, once your Bimmer is outside the warranty, finding a shop like this one becomes important. If you own a BMW you need to know this place. It is a BMW-specialized maintenance and repair shop. They are not cheap, but they are a lot less expensive than going to Braman BMW and they do really good work. All of their technicians are BMW-trained and workedf previously at BMW dealers so you know you are getting people who really know what they are doing. Braman quoted me over a $2000 for some brake and suspension work on my 3 convertible, and these guys did it for around $1200. That is a big savings. If you need anything major fixed like brakes, suspension, convertible top, etc. this is the best place to go. The only thing you lose is the free loaner car, but they do great work, they are more trustworthy and they are a lot less expensive. read more

I heard the guy that was going to do the work tell the woman that wrote up the estimate that it would take 2 hours total (maximum) and that included the time for the car to sit alone so the glue could dry. I've got a 24 year old BMW 850i, and have been using the folks at the Bimmer shop for everything for the past four years or so. They've done lots of work to maintain my car in pristine condition.
