I came for happy hour on a Thursday. There was no one in the resturant when we first got there, so we were immediately seated at a two person table in the corner. I don't like how they put us in a corner when no one was here, but oh well. I got the Aperol Spritz, and we split the fries. The drink was delicious! It took the bartender a minute to make the drinks, but they were good when we finally got them. The fries were the perfect pairing. I really liked how you got three different types of sauces with it, and one tastes like the Cane's sauce. The ambiance was ok. On my recent trip to Baton Rouge,I dined at Brasserie Byronz. They had small plate offerings that I love. The food was delicious and the dessert was a nice finish to a wonderful meal. Have been to Brassierie many times since they rebranded and have always enjoyed the food and service. My husband have had brunch, lunch and dinner. We have brought friends and relatives from out of town and have dined there by ourselves. The BELT at brunch is to die for!! And I agree with other reviewers that the Turkey burger is juicy and delish. The drinks are always yummy! And the French house Chardonnay is very good. The wait staff is young and fun! They are personable. The cute, bald manager is always ready to jump in and make your experience top notch! The Blue Cheese chips are a must every time we dine there. First time here! We came for valentines. I didn't see too much I liked on the menu, however, what we got was very delicious. I'm very particular about my tomato basil soup & honestly only like La Madeline's, but this soup is now my 2nd favorite!!! So good! The Crawfish & Spinach Gratin was an appetizer that I ate for my entree and it was really filling. I wish they put a thicker layer of dip to eat because there's too many chips/bread pieces and the ratios off. Came here for lunch on a workday. The atmosphere was nice and welcoming and the service was very fast. I was impressed how quickly all of our food came out. For an appetizer, we had the blue cheese chips, which are awesome! I highly recommend them. For my meal, I had the melty club. Overall it was tasty, but it did have way too much butter melted on the outside (like a super buttery grilled cheese). Other than that, it was a good sandwich. This has become my new favorite spot for either week day happy hour, a Friday or Saturday dinner, or a quick lunch. I usually sit at the bar (either by myself or with a friend or two). Bistro Byronz is a Baton Rouge staple for good food and good service. This is a restaurant that is always on my go-to list, but somehow I forget to write a review! My husband and I been going to Bistro Byronz since forever and we're glad to have a Mid City location back! We rushed to our reservation for brunch yesterday cause the food is just that good! Using the Open Table, we had a short window to make it and it was well worth running out the door with one shoe on! We were greeted by nice hostess and seated on the patio per our request. Each patio table has a personal fan, which is great for this Louisiana heat! Our waiter was sooo attentive! Of course, we started with bottomless mimosas and a mocktail called Cooler Than a Cucumber (highly recommend if are taking a break from alcohol). The mocktail was super refreshing and tasty! For entrees, we both ordered the Monte Cristo with a side of fruit! This breakfast sandwich is just beyond delicious! The bread is like crispy French toast with a powdered sugar for sweetness! DELICIOUS! DELICIOUS! This may become a monthly brunch spot for us. The restaurant staff are so welcoming, family friendly atmosphere, and good food are definitely a win in my book! read more

I had Bistro Byronz on Government one Sunday for brunch. The place is bigger than I thought and I like the decor. Wait staff is sweet, but my problem was with the food. They don't take egg white substitutes which I find odd. Just don't put the yoke in lol. I had an omelet with goat cheese and it wasn't bad but not spectacular either. Since my last review, the restaurant has changed both names and locations. I will admit, I have not actually eaten at the new location, but I have had a couple of the dishes delivered or picked up. I really can't see where you can go wrong here. For lunch delivery, I ordered the ever consistent and tasty turkey burger. I appreciate that the side is now fries and not chips as the chips used to get super soggy. The turkey burger is delicious every time. It's never dried out like many places, and it is filling without knocking you out the rest of the day! I've also ordered the hot green tomatoes starter and they were perfectly crisp with the right amount of flavor. And you can never go wrong with the steak frites salad - when they have it. We have been told a couple of times they are out. Now, one of the things that is a MUST during the spring is the King Cake Bread Pudding - OMG. Legendary. Bistro Byronz is a great option when looking for a yummy wrap or sandwich. I always get a different wrap every time I go, you can also turn any sandwiches into a wrap which I love. I usually get the sweet potato fries as the side and they are nice and thin. There ranch is also delicious, it has a garlic flavor which makes it stand out from other ranches. I also enjoy the strawberry froze and they have a great deal on it during happy hour! The downside to my most recent visit was that my plate that had the wrap and fries on was ice cold which was good for my wrap but made my fries cold. I would of rather a regular plate or my fries on the side when using a cold plate to serve the wrap. The spinach dip is also really good and creamy, I just wish the portion was bigger for the price. read more

Bistro Byronz has moved into their new facility in the Square 46 building, and this location is very nice! The interior is decorated very much like their original location, but it is bigger and roomier. The interior courtyard at Square 46 offers them a great outdoor dining area, which has some areas protected from the elements, while another area is open to the sky. What hasn't changed is the upscale homestyle menu they are known for, and the great service. These are just like they have always been! My only word of warning to the customer has to do with the generally inadequate parking at Square 46. If you do not find a parking place on site behind the building, make sure you park in a legal place offsite which is not signed as for the customers of another business only, and do not park in the yards of private residences on side streets. Be a responsible motorist and don't cause problems! read more

My first time visiting Bistro Byronz was for a late lunch this afternoon and I was not disappointed. The parking was easy to find and bistro Byronz had a cute little walk way and outside seating area. If it wasn't so chilly today we would have requested outside seating. The inside is decorated very modern and clean. They placed mirrors on each post, which gave the place a sleek feel. Our server was attentive and our food was great! We each got a salad. The bistro salad with strawberries was delicious! The sweet vinaigrette pairs perfect with it. I added chicken on top of my salad. We also split an order of the fries which were great! This was my first time at this location and the space is beautiful! I used to frequent the original location but since they moved I would always only visit the settlement location. I went for best burger week with DIG Baton Rouge. I started with the St. Rose - delicious drink. Next I had the three cheese chips. I had been craving these from the moment I decided I wanted to go for the evening. They did not disappoint. Covered in cheese and perfectly crisp chips. The burgers came out next. My sweet frites were nicely done. The burger was not at all what I had expected or hoped for. I was looking for something different and exciting to my tastebuds. The burger was very regular and basic in my opinion. The patty was definitely juicy but otherwise the burger was dry for me. Which made me wish it had bacon to give it a little flair. But on the other end of the spectrum I would have preferred if maybe it had something acidic on it maybe pickles or pickled onions which also would have added some lubrication to the somewhat dry burger. Zach was our bartender. He was available when we called for him but otherwise not overly attentive which was fine for us. The space itself is beautiful inside and out especially. We went to the newly branded Brasserie Byronz on Saturday night. We were seated immediately and ordered the three cheese chips for our appetizer which were awesome per usual. My husband had a draft beer while I got a cucumber smash that was refreshing. For entrees, we ordered the steak hache (essentially hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and gravy) and it was delicious. I had the crawfish and grits which was perfectly seasoned and flavorful. We also shared a side of the carrot soufflé and it was the best I've ever had! The place was pretty dead for a weekend but I hope more people will check out the new menu because it has raised the bar. Service was excellent, place was romantic and and upscale feeling with lots of patio and indoor seating available. Honestly trash food for the price. The best thing about the meal were the frites that came on the salad (?)... The wine tasted like it was a diluted version of Trader Joe's wine (two-buck-Chuck) for the price of $32. The server gave the most underwhelming experience to top it off. I love the menu at Bistro Bytonz. I have not been here in years, like.... pre Covid pandemonium even! The food is incredible to boot, but the selected dishes are dishes I grew up with in New Orleans down to the Camillia Bean Cochon Cassoullet, or as we say, "da red beans and rice!". The ambiance is of an old neighborhood restaraunt with bar. On this visit, they even had a lovely lady playing live music set up in the dining room. The seared tuna was served perfectly sushi grade chilled which was a nice surprise. It made the salad perfection.
