Went to the prime rib buffet, and it was horrible. Prime rib was dry, tough and overly salty. The limited side dishes were bland. The only saving grace was the mashed potatoes, very good. We had a rather odd experience here. We came in following an event for dinner. I ordered a dinner salad and received what looked like a skimpy side salad with different items on it than the menu listed. When I pointed it out, the server told me I was wrong, so I showed her the menu, she said she'd comp me for the salad and walked away without offering to get me something else-or what I actually ordered. She soon returned with our bills, though my seat mates were still mid-meal, dropped them on the table and left. She had removed my salad, took the credit cards and rang them up. When she brought the receipts back for signatures, one of my friends noticed that a more than 100% tip had been added to her total. I want to believe that it was all an error and she was having a really bad day, but the service was just so very bad that o have to caution against eating here. read more

So I am going to be a huge food and wine snob here, but really, hear me out. I call about three or four days ahead to make a reservation. Not only do I get an answering machine telling me that they are "busy" but I am told to leave my reservation request and someone will get back to me "shortly." I gave all the pertinent info: name, date, phone number and asked that I get a call back asap regarding two separate reservation times as I was trying to plan dinner around the movie I was going to. NO ONE EVER CALLED ME BACK!! My husband (who has been here more then I) said we should just wing it and go regardless. The place was dead on a Saturday night, that should have been a warning! So we attempt to snuggle up into a quiet U shaped booth, to find that all the previous dinner crumbs and dust have been swept in between us; needless to say, we sat across from each other instead. The majority of the food was okay to mediocre. My husbands "french onion soup" was questionable (was it french onion soup or just chicken broth with cheese) and my chicken was dry. The prices are outrageous for the offerings and the area (I have had cheaper gourmet dinners in San Francisco, Napa and even on the central coast of california). The waiter was a really sweet guy but had almost zero wine knowledge. Now I wouldnt usually rate this but since the place is called Bin 20 and all its advertisements in the tri-cities say "classy wine bar meats gourmet steak house" and there are wine barrelheads, wine posters and wine bottles everywhere, I think it needs to be noted. The waiter told us that one of the grapes in our white blend was a "rose grape" (note, no such thing as a rose grape), when he removed the cork from our wine he smelled it and then put it in his pocket, never offering it to us and he put the wine bottle between his legs to open it!?!? I seriously thought about calling the place to see if I could do a wine education class for their staff as this was embarrasing. read more

This place is located in the Pasco Red Lion motel, and used to be their hotel restaurant/brunch area. A few years ago, they decided to go a little more upscale, and turned it into a wine bar, and then later added a dinner menu. The menu's not huge...just a couple widely spaced pages of chicken, a few steaks, pasta, and some other pretty standard fare. The wine list is actually bigger than the menu, as it should be I suppose. When I was there, the service was quite good...although since there were only 2 tables occupied, it probably wasn't that difficult. Their kitchen works at a slightly longer than average clip, but wasn't intolerably slow. My steak - the porterhouse - was....OK. Prepared just about right, but without much flavor. The people that were with me agreed, it was nothing special. Entrees are a bit on the pricy side, and come with no extras - salads cost an extra $7. The vegetables that came with my steak were actually the best part of the meal. The mashed potatoes were pretty reminiscent of the arts & crafts paste we all used in 1st grade....and tasted about the same. My guess is that the kitchen serving Bin 20 is the same one that operates the hotel diner in the lobby. My suggestion is that you stick to the diner....it'll be the same food for half the money, and your expectations will be lower. read more

So I've never gone to a hotel just to eat at the restaurant, because frankly, most hotel restaurants are pretty weak... but this one was a pleasant surprise. Got here early and were the first ones to the dining room. The service was paced, but I'm ok with that. The ambiance is nice, and when I go for a nice meal, I like to spend some time and enjoy my courses. I guess the waitress could've been a little more on the spot, but nothing to complain about. On to the food... this was arguably the best food I've had in the tri-cities (so I'm saying its better than Anthony's or Cedars... man this place has weak dining options!) We got a wedge and a Caprese (sp?) salad. Both were very good with quality ingredients. For dinner the wife got meatloaf (I know, but she wasn't hungry enough to go for a spendy steak) and I got a chop. She said the meatloaf was great for a restaurant (mom is always better) and better yet, the loaf was $12. The chop was a 9 out of 10. French cut, perfectly moist, with a really good apple bourbon sauce. I love a good chop, and I finally found one in town. The one extra-ordinary feature of the chef was the plating. It was about as well planned and laid out as you will find anywhere... clearly the kitchen staff knows what they are up to back there. I'm surprised to see the bad experiences others have had here... but the tip up above that they got a new chef may be the reason why there is so much disparity between what I experienced and the others report. The crowd was extremely light here, so I reccomend you drop in sometime and grab a table. The prices are at the upper levels found in the area, but for me, they were worth it. read more

Been staying at this Red Lion for years. Food in the bar is ok, but have avoided the restaurant due to the bad reviews. Finally decided to give it a try because we were too tired to go anywhere else. Glad we did! Place was empty when we went in, and I'm pretty sure no one else was served while we were there. The wait staff was very friendly and fast. I tried the $10 dinner special, which was chicken in an apricot sauce...tasty! Wife had the prime rib (which I ate half of). It was huge, and while not the best I've ever had, at $24, I've certainly paid more for worse. All in all a nice experience. Would definitely try it again. read more

I stay at the red lion all the time when I'm in town for work and I have had to eat here a few times. It is horrible food. Everything is bland, insanely over priced and usually cooked way beyond having any juiciness left. I would not suggest eating here! read more

We went for their Christmas Buffet A little Mr Jackyl and Dr Hyde... Lets start with the good... The food - rated 5 stars A wonderful selection to start - lots of seafood, shellfish and small sides. All the stuff my wife loves! Started great! The buffet WOW OK so i am a meat and potato guy... This wowed me and my wife was pretty happy as well Roast beef - the carver had a selection of beef from what appeared to be medium to well done - all VERY tender - loved it,,, and a great carver Ham - beautifully cooked Turkey, Salmon, Pork Loin and Prime Rib,,, Great mashed potatoes and sausage stuffing... Nice sides Desert A selection of sweet deserts, pecan and pumpkin pie... Only area I felt could have been better - more pies! Both of us loved it! They really need to learn what the temperature of beer should be, the taps are running forty degrees or higher which makes for a miserable Stella. They also stock the bottled beer warm so if it was not stocked twenty four hours earlier then your in for a rude surprise. read more

This place just release a new Spring Menu and i enjoy the fact that all of thier fish is FRESH and never frozen. The dessert menu is only $4.95!! They have a happy hour that is from 4pm to 7pm where all of the apps are half priced and they feature $5 martinis and glasses of Wine. They have couches and a leisure area up in the wine bar for small get togethers and they also have an outdoor patio. Great place to have dinner! and by the way, they dont give you one of thos annoying beepers to wait in line with. read more

I cant even imagine that I'm wasting my time writing this review, but, if you go to this place expecting something special you are wasting your time. The beer is served warm and flat, that is if you get one in a timely manner. The food could be good if someone who cared about the customer instead of what time they get off cooked it(or maybe reheated it, I couldn't tell if it was made in house. It reminded me of food you get at any airport; over priced, tiny portions, and you don't know exactly where the kitchen is). And, the hospitality of the staff is as cold as my mother-in-laws personality. I first went to Bin 21, the lounge to Bin 20. The server was somewhat knowledgeable about the beer and wine selection, and slightly less about the menu. This did not bother me. It was the fact that the lounge did not have any of the beers on tap. They have taps, just no beer hooked up to them. So, they had to go somewhere else to bring me a beer. Each time they were gone it was at least four minutes per beer. I felt bad for the other customers. I just ordered a bottle of what they had on hand to speed up their service. This time the food was good. Two days later I went to The Grizzly Bar, and everything went wrong from the time I walked in. The service was slow, I was not acknowledged until almost five minutes of sitting at the bar and looking directly at the bar tender, we made eye contact three times. The first thing they asked me was if I wanted a menu. Well sure I do, and I would also like a drink. Then it was five minutes of watching them try to pour a Stella into a pilsner glass. By the time I got the beer it was so flat you could slip it between the floor and the bartenders heels without them noticing. Two beers and one sandwich cost $26. The sandwich was 13 of those dollars. The third and final time was two days after that. I walk by the Grizzly Bar and recognize the same servers, so, I go into Bin 21. The server in there said that they were closed on this side. Even though a table of 16 or so was being served. I made it all the way to the bar before being told this. I turn around and go into The Grizzly Bar. I sit at the bar for a full five minutes before being acknowledged, all the while noticing the anxious eyes of other patrons. They know somethings is wrong. So I decide I'll just order something to go. The bartender says to another customer that we should be lucky because there are two people to serve us tonight, "us" being the 35+ people in the bar. I said I wanted to make an order to go, and they said it would take a while. If normal service is slow, I was not waiting to see what their definition of a while was. In short, customer service is a huge key to being successful in the customer service field. This place and the places associated with it failed. I would never recommend this place to anyone and, in fact, I will be more likely to tell the story of my discontent even before people tell me that they will be staying at The Red Lion in Pasco, Washington. read more

Extremely slow service. 10 minutes for water another 30 minutes for food. If you are not sitting near bar don't stay. Bar tender walked by twice while I stood with my card in hand and didn't stop. Would have been quicker to leave the hotel then to stay in the hotel at the bar. At least tacos were good read more

Those people that left 4 and 5 star reviews, have obviously never eaten at a real quality establishment. We stayed at the Pasco Red Lion because it had a restaurant and bar. Unfortunately on a Sunday night the management feels one waiter/bartender and one kitchen employee are enough to run the place. They weren't. The waiter did his best but was working under difficult conditions. He couldn't handle everything. I suppose kitchen employee had the same problem. Result: we waited to be told we couldn't be seated yet, we then waited to be seated, we then waited to order drinks, we then waited to find our first two wine choices were out, we then waited to order, we waited for food that wasn't good. This was a management strategy to save money at customer expense. Might be better other days. read more

What happened today: Went there for my birthday and our group of 7 waited for well over an hour to receive our entrees. We ate our salads and appetizes first after a long wait. Then sat almost an hour for the entrees to arrive. I ordered the same steak I always do and this time it was so tough I could hardly cut it with the steak knife. It was supposed to be a New York strp steak of Kansas beef dry aged for 40 days. I have had better from the economy market that sells ungraded meat. The vegetables were burried on the plate and it sure looked like the chef was not able to cope with a full house. Only 3 waiters in the whole place. Ours tried to help and offered to get me another entree but I didn't want to wait another hour. I was going to give the place a 4 star rating, but I take that back. Now i know why others didn't like the place. Don't go when there is a crowd. They can't handle it. Original review: I purchase Signature Club memberships for my wife and I yearly. This gets us free one night stays but best of all, it lets us eat at Bin 20 on a buy one get one free basis. Since the new chef came, I have never had a bad meal there. In fact, I order the same entre every time because the steak is the most delicious of any I have ever eaten. It is served cooked to perfection and is accompanied by a matre'd brown sauce that is very delicious. The accompanying vegetables are also perfectly cooked and the plates are a work of art. This is no ordinary steak house but rather an attempt to provide a gourmet meal. No it isnn't in the class of the $199 a plate entres in the finest places in big cities. But, get real, this is Pasco. I hope more yelpers will try this place and give it a review, but not too many. There haven't been many customers when I have eaten. So possibly the product and service would deteriorate when the staff is too busy. I only gave it 4 stars because the wait staff is not as professional as it should be. read more

Grizzly Bar at the Red Lion.....Please Please if your a waitress learn the menu!! Please learn what the most favorite drink is!! Instead of saying," oh our best drink is this* pink drink thing* she had no idea what was in it or the name! ....I asked her what is the Creole Remoulade that is on the * Black and Blue Burger, she came back after asking the chef that it is an....... ingredient!! Lol WOW! I have been a server for 17 years not only was it so slow the service... as we had to go pick up our own drinks at the window...the waitress was MIA ...and the bartender was to busy talking about her last night out to bring them to us.....To top it off My Mozzarella Tomato Flat bread was cold and my boyfriend's Black and Blue Burger was "almost without a hamburger inside it was extremely thin" hence they were both sent back!! We did not order anything else ....if you decide to go to eat at Grizzly Bar at the Red Lion.....only positive I can say is... The Bruschetta was amazing! The owner needs to train their staff!! i'm sorry, but this place just sucks. i have gotten better steak at a strip club. $30 for a tough chewy flavorless steak is not acceptable. never once was i asked how my food was and it took nearly 20 minutes for them to clear my table after i had finished and pushed my plate to the middle of the table. then another 20 minutes for the bill. not worth your time or money. its a sure sign your steak is going to suck when they serve it with a dipping sauce. read more

Based upon the other reviews that said this place had another chef and the food is good, I decided to give this place a try. I ordered a steak cooked medium. When it was placed on the table it smelled like burnt meat. The steak was charred black on the outside. The mashed served potatoes was crusty and the asparagus and carrots were awful. I don't mind paying for a nice meal. But $30+ dollars for a burnt steak and reheated mashed potatoes is not up to the standard for a restaurant at this price point. No baked potato and no salad were included. This place is a poor excuse for a restaurant and anyone who thinks so in their reviews have never been anywhere to know. I travel and eat in a lot of restaurants. This place is the worst in a long time. I have a motto when it come to bad restaurants: first shame time shame on you second time shame on me.
