The cashier, Jess, repeatedly asked, "What do you want me to do, ma'am?" but rejected every reasonable suggestion my aunt made to resolve the confusion. Employees also made comments within earshot such as, "We're going to be here all night," while my aunt was trying to understand her transaction. My aunt's receipt wasn't even given to her. After Jess said it had been placed in the shopping bag, it was later found in the trash. My aunt is disabled and has significant heart problems. She simply needed patience and assistance, but instead left feeling embarrassed and humiliated. I hope Dollar General reviews what happened and takes appropriate action to improve customer service.
