Their law firm uses these so called doctors/psychologists that charge ridiculous fees to help your claim.The real deal is,these quacks give a kick back to b & b since they dont charge money for repping you,as a way to get paid.i already had health care for decades,so they said that wasnt good for my claim.they then sized me up with some bs about if I go to their drs and pay $800 ,and a psyche dr for $600 it would help.even after my meeting with the judge in westwod,they still tried to get me to pay for some quack.my case didnt go thru and they dropped me soon after.just know if they send u to their dr,they will charge u hundreds of dollars and that doesnt guarantee a win read more

Let it be known that Binder & Binder is not what its self-aggrandizing, bragodocio t v ad spots alleges it is and does. all of the legal assistants and lawyers (I was told later that the lawyers are, in actuality, "advocates. Each time that you get a call from them, they tell you one thing one time and then a week later, another B&B'er tells you something totally different. I began my case on 06/01/12 and was denied at the Initial Claim stage, the 1st Appeal stage, and was told 2 weeks ago that I have been denied at the Appeals Council level. I have been formally diagnosed with Severe Depression and Bipolar Disorder - Type I. I thought it quite odd that I was required to a a $ 550 fee to take a 560 question Psychiatric I Q Assessment, rather than B&B simply deduct this fee from my possible award of disability. I have had suicidal ideations 4 times during the time span at B&B. I was born with a congenital birth defect as a result of my Mom being given the then yet-to-be-FDA- approved fertility drug, DES. I was born without any left eye. My primary care physician (on 3 occasions) and my Psychiatrist assessed and wrote to the effect that i had a poor prognosis and cannot work now and in the future. Now, the "untruth" of it all was Max Ortega and his assistants told me that once my case goes to the Appeals Council, my case will most likely be awarded or remanded my disability. Their "words" turned out not to be true. I was given a final denial. Colleen of the B&B Appeals Council has been rude to me on more than one occasion. Max Ortega, my then legal assistant, barely kept in touch with me, with the excuse of his being the district manager who handles disabilitty cases in the southwest U.S. states. The reason why B&B bills themselves as the #1 disability law firm in the U.S. is because by doing this, it masks their very poor performance. Stay away from this "legal outfit." read more

Total scam, had my free first meeting, basically the 'advocate' said, give me all the documentation from your Dr. With letters stating there is no possible way for you to work...then I will take your case. Basically they want you and your Dr.s to give them a 100% fool proof case and take 20% for doing absolutely nothing. I am a Combat Vet, 100 percent dialed from two tours. I have been working with Binder and Binder for 2 almost 3 years now because that is the time frame it takes for them to do paper work as well. The Lawyer they assigned me to is a military officer who is now deployed and has my case file. They said they were unable to do anything until he returns. Why would you give my case to someone who is going to leave for 7 month to a year. They are all about the back pay, they will drag your case out until they feel they have got what they wanted. If I was a Veteran of the Armed forces I would think twice about ever using these people. They don't care about what you have done for this country only how much they get out of 20 percent. read more

If I could give them negative stars I would be glad to. Denied on my initial claim in 2014. Basically through the process they were poorly attentive, gave very bland and general advice. I had to ensure all my proper paperwork was fun les as they said because many things were missing. Had my final hearing Feb. 2016, was awarded case in a March 2016 decision. Still as of 8/2016 awaiting any back pay from the original filing. Have a minor child that was also included in case. At hearing binder and binder stated apps done for myself and my daughter. As of today, 8/2016, again called Ssdi, just today they informed me my daughter needs a hearing to retain her benefits and retro pay from 2014. Ssdi set up a phone hearing for me. Called binder and binder and they said now that was up to me and Ssdi disregards paperwork filed ?!!!! Ridiculous . The binder and binder rep said that's up to me not binder and binder , meanwhile the attorney at my hearing stated even the monthly benefits my daughter would be getting and they will process her stuff about two weeks after mine! All false and they take. I responsibility for not providing that information, now it's going to take another 7-12 months to get her benefits ! Unreal dripping the ball. Binder and binder isn't capable of even filing proper paperwork non the less informing the client of the further process. They just want their $6000.00 or 25%. Find a real attorney advocate group to rep you on your Ssdi ! This group is a scam!!! You end up doing all the work and if you aren't diligent they will fail you!!!!! My case worker sometimes takes a few days to call me back but she does call back and answer all my questions. I left everything to them and stopped stressing out. Do not go with this company! i had horrible experience, every time you call you get different person by design of their system. They lose documents, do not update and keep requesting same documents many times (4 times from one Dr.!). They do not have Lawyer on staff, - fake pretending. They do have volume (?? pure customers) since you are always on hold when you call. If you go with them you will get nothing except that you pay them and if you do not do everything yourself and be on top of everything, nothing will happen except you will pay 6k. I don't know how all of this works but I do Know that it's hard to be accepted. It's seems like you first must be almost dead. I think I've tried three times now and finally saw a judge who denied me . For me it's hell to go though . My nerves cannot take it so I do the best I can . I m sick a lot in pain a lot in my back because I work with seniors . I have arthritis and spurs on my spine . Three heart stents , on and on . Don't think a judge really understand what I do , because they kept referring to my job as " companionship" ummm I feel dead after a shift . But I mean the attorneys don't want you to lose your case so that's kinda mean . They don't know what kind of judge will hear the case . It's awful and to me not worth going through but good luck to all of you . . I think it must just be harder nowadays be approved I , I don't know how they can deny you so easily it seems . I am in California and let me tell you: Max Ortega is INCREDIBLE. His acumen of the law is astounding and he will fight tooth and nail for you to ensure success. If I could give zero stars, I would. These morons have had my dad's disability case for 2 years. They've done NOTHING! When he would call to check in, they would blame the doctors. The doctors sent everything they needed, but Binder and Binder claimed multiple times that they didn't get it. After 2 years of getting the run around, they dropped his case out of nowhere. The worst choice made was to hire the Binder firm to handle such a vital case representing my future. I am crippled from an accident at work. The evidence is obvious yet, Binder sent an unqualified paralegal to handle my hearing who incidently forgot to bring my file to show proof to the judge. We have filed for an appeal but it looks grim inasmuch as the judge has already formed his opinion of me, my representation, and my lack of readiness at the time of the hearing. The judge literally yelled at me and my rep. This is a horrible situation to have fallen onto without a net. Can't get another firm to represent me now. read more

This review is about Binder and Binders national call canter and the phone people at the Orange location. First of the national call center operators are rude, abrupt,and not knowledgeable. It took six calls to get the information I needed. When I finally got the, I was given the number to the Orange office even though I asked for the Long Beach office. The national call center is atrocious. I contacted Binder & Binder online. Got a phone call. Returned it. Got a robo-voice saying "your call is important to us." A person answered. Told her I was calling them back for a query. She said "hold on" sent me back to the robo voice ("your call is important") Another operator. Told her same thing. Hold on. Got woman named Donna who was chewing gum (or food) the whole time. She asked me the same question 3 times ("are you receiving retirement benefits") She asked if I'd gone before a judge. Yes, and was found fully favorable for me. But then Soc. Sec. denied anyway. Donna said "Then I don't know why you are calling us if you were denied." Because! After getting approved for disability payments, the negligence of this firm caused the court to overturn their initial decision because my "lawyer" failed to provide the financial documentation I gave her that verified my status as not receiving income. When I frantically called them and asked why they hadn't done so, the person on the phone shrugged and said "Yeah, I dunno. I guess they probably should have done that. Anyway, your lawyer doesn't work here anymore so you're kinda on your own now." They refused to help fix the mess they'd made so I was forced to seek out another lawyer (who apparently works with many Binder refugees) to help me file an appeal citing Binder's incompetence as the reason my status was not accurate. The cherry on the sundae is that one year later this firm had the audacity to send me a bill for $1,000 for their "service" (so much for the TV jingle that says "You pay nothing unless we win!"). This company's disorganization, incompetence, and refusal to provide personal attention (I wasn't allowed to meet my lawyer until 5 minutes before my court appearance). My health is in drastic decline and now I have to wait potentially another year for my appeal, where I can give the court the information Binder said it had "taken care of." If you're dealing with a debilitating illness, please stay away from these people. You'll be far worse off when they bungle your only financial lifeline. read more
