This is the place to visit in Frankenmuth if you're looking for an unusual gift or something to take home to remember your trip to this Bavarian town. Rau's has pretty much every souvenir with every name on shot glasses, pocket knives, keychains and the like. If you have a typical name, you will find a magnet with your name at Rau's. This shop also has a lot of old-fashioned candy, which you can scoop out and put into bags. You'll also find some local artwork for sale here, as well as lots of local Michigan products.

Scrapbook stores have been struggling in the recent years and I want to support my local store. Unfortunately, it has been difficult to find on trend and affordable items at this shop for a number of reasons. First, the store is organized by theme, not by brand or by kind as in most stores we're all probably familiar with. This works out great if you plan to do a camping layout, a baby layout, or a holiday themed project. This is not so great for those of us who shop by category instead of theme. I usually have to walk around the aisles and browse really hard to weed through the theme items to look for what I want. (To be fair, Thickers & alphabet stickers are against one wall of the shop, and the albums and stamps are in one general area.) Second, the store has limited brand selection. They carry a lot of different items, but for some reason, they are usually not the on trend items that are current and popular. For example, I was looking for some things from October Afternoon, Studio Calico, Elle Studio, and Amy Tangerine and I was told that they either didn't carry it, or that the products they did carry were from old(er) releases. Bummer. Lastly, the items here cost a little bit more unless you have a coupon or they are running a special promotion. During my last visit, an item that I saw elsewhere was priced at $2.50 and it was $5.99 here. That's a more extreme example, but it made me wonder about the price difference. On the upside, the staff here is friendly and welcoming. They try to be helpful. Scrapbook Peddler has also relocated to a newer and much brighter location than their previous store. I am happy that there is a local scrapbook store in town, but due to aforementioned reasons, I may not visit as often. This is probably worth checking out if you're already in the area, but not something to go out of your way for.

It's called handicrafts, crafts made by hand. Most likely hands of skilled crafts people from distant lands. I'd guess most of it comes from South and Central Americas. But yes, they do carry some funky items like wacky looking candles, strange edged swords, knives and such. I dig handicraft items such as the bracelets, anklets and neck pieces. Here they keep many of these in large bowls with many pieces overlapping each other. Lots of this stuff can be purchased for as low as five to ten dollars per item. I've shopped here a few times and realized a few things. The counter staff are usually unaware as to what or where the stuff comes from. General knowledge only. Many of the pieces I've purchased in the past fell apart within a few uses. Very important that you test out the strength or elasticity of the pieces before buying. (Pull it, stretch it and twist it) I have a few that fell apart and since this place is located three hundred miles away, there's nothing I can do with them. I have one men's bracelet (purchased here) that I've had now for a couple years purchased for $5 dollars which is as good as some pieces I've picked up at festivals in Chicago which came overseas from Ghana. The last time I was in Saginaw the mall was looking bleak, so I hope this store stays around for some time. Often time's jewelry made from wood or other raw materials are hard to find with a decent price at American craft or beading stores. These pieces are usually exported from countries where they are made in mass quantities and the price will always be low.

Complete with neon lighting squiggled throughout the top of the walls all around the store..overly cheesy concession stand signs..no grocery area, just a small area that has a couple grocery items. Just like Target stores were in the 90's..they haven't updated this store at all. It's fun and nostalgic coming here, but unfortunately there is a reason so many other stores have either been built differently or remodeled..because this model is a much lesser version of what Target stores are these days. Not as great a selection as other stores..and the place feels dated and run down. The bathrooms are pretty gross..and old..I mean, at least keep up with the bathrooms..you can't just let those go. Anywho..a two star review with an extra star tacked on for nostalgia reasons. If you want to revisit the 90s check out this Target..if you're looking to do some serious Target shopping..find another one.

I will not buy any other brands but Yankee. Since PartyLite brand is a higher price I know Yankee has a strong scent and is always true based on my different choices. It's located in the Prime Outlets at Birch Run exit off I-75 freeway north or south based one's driving skills. It is next door to the Haggar men's clothing at the end of the back lot near the freeway. Today my mission was tea-lights, reed diffusers and 3 jar candles for three birthday gift ideas. I can always shop till I drop here or until the basket is so full, my arm and hands hurt from the weight :) Kelsey was very pleasant upon my walking in the door with a smile and ready to assist me with my list. She was very knowledgeable with old and current new scents for holidays ! This store sells certain scents that are hard to find or scents that are being discontinued, or out of season for a 50% off price. This is an outlet, warehouse clearance store you can and will find many scents to your liking in tart melts, tealights, jars and plug-ins, reed diffuser, and auto air fresheners. If anyone is looking for a holiday scent called "Cranberry Chutney" that has been discontinued through Yankee website or Meijer, Bed Bath or Target stores, look no further... Its here at this Yankee Outlet store. I didn't buy the whole stock, only the tealights to burn in my kitchen for Christmas holiday. As always in the past and today on Sunday the 21st, I completed my visit in 30 minutes. I was very pleased, happy and satisfied with my purchases and also the extra help from Cassidy when she was walking through the store helping other customers. One candle that I did purchase, which I forgot to photograph and its already gone as a gift was a 1 wick jar candle called "Bourbon Vanilla Sugar". A perfect mild scented candle for a party person to use in their basement at their bar! Last year I bought a "Beer" scented jar candle along with a Bacon scented jar from this store and their scents were highly aromatic! Stop in here after shopping at other outlet stores in Birch Run. You will see, enjoy and shop the walls and walls of many candles with so many awesome seasonal scents for your home or for inexpensive thoughtful gifts.

Our drinks were delicious and the ambiance of the room was very quiet and comfortable, no loud talking and no music. The price is a little steep but the wide selection of drinks makes up for it and it's nothing to complain about when you're treating yourself. There was only one worker making the drinks and she may have needed some help since there were a few people in line but overall she did great and made everything as ordered.
