We moved a 3 floor townhouse worth of big ticket furniture, boxes, and other odds and ends (such as an elliptical machine) near New Hampshire, to a 3 floor house in Boston. The quoting process and their inventory system process was a breeze to use, which helped them facilite the correct sized moving truck to be used. They were very accommodating with our moving period/schedule. The communication was very clear and concise, with very prompt responses via email whenever we had a question or concern. We honestly set it, and forget it until moving day arrived. The day before moving day, we received the timeframe window the movers would come. Day of the move, the truck and three movers came. They went over the cost breakdown with us again, so that there were no surprises for us (there were none!). We gave them a quick walk-through of our place and what was moving. They formulated their moving plan, and how they'd load the moving truck, and quickly packed up and moved everything into the truck. The movers wrapped up all the big ticket furniture in blankets and taped it to avoid any dents/damage. They were also very polite, and asked for permission, when they needed a quick break (3 flights of stairs is a lot of work!). Once they we done, they drove over to Boston for the unload process. Again, they were very quick and efficient. We went through a walkthrough in the Boston house, for them to formulate what would go where, and off to the races they went. Some of the big ticket items (Queen size beds w/ headboards, antique hutches, dressers), I had concerns about fitting into bending stairways... they were able to alleviate. We had a large L shaped couch, they removed (and later put back on) the legs, and were able to navigate the tight turns going up stairs to make it fit! Once they were done with the move, they went over the cost breakdown one more time before payment (again no surprises from our end with it). I would highly recommend M&M Moving. Everyone we interacted with from their end, during this moving process, was very professional, nice, courteous, and efficient.

(Focus specializes in piano moving, and I needed my childhood piano + a few other miscellaneous items transported from Massachusetts to New York.) Owner Liviu responded to my initial quote query (which was competitive) nearly immediately and within the hour confirmed he'd be able to meet my timing needs, despite the holiday season. Furthermore, though I provided a 5-6 day window, he offered to complete the move on MY ideal date. Sweet. What was great about the move itself? My mom indicated that Liviu and his right hand man showed up at her home at the exact appointed hour and that they carefully packed and protected all of the items that were to be trucked. In fact she let me know that Liviu and crew "were the best movers" she'd ever used and that she'd be using them for her own upcoming entire-home move. A bold statement, considering she's moved a LOT. Liviu was also a fab communicator. He kept me informed of his whereabouts via text message, sent email reminders and arrived on time at my delivery location as well. Additionally, Focus stuck to its quote (and then some, as Liviu delivered a couple of other less heavy items on the house without a quote adjustment), damaged nothing in transit and carefully yet swiftly manned my heavy upright Yamaha into its new abode. I had a lot of items including some heavy furniture pieces. They were able to pack everything and move everything safely without any damages. The boxes and tape do cost extra if you choose to ask them to help pack, so I recommend providing some duct tape and boxes. The costs vary as well but I found their pricing to be very reasonable and the best priced compared to other movers I have used. They were super communicative and were also really friendly people! I enjoyed talking to them during the move. Overall, I highly recommend them and would definitely hire them again for any moving and packing services.

Amanat was quick to respond, I spent about 20 minutes on the phone giving a detailed inventory, got the quote and paid the deposit. The estimate for my two bed two bath with packing and unpacking was 8 hours. The three person crew arrived on time. I walked them through the apartment and they got started. Unfortunately we were five hours in and they had still not finished packing. By the time they were finally unloading the truck, we were on the tenth hour. My husband was putting beds back together and we told them to forget about unpacking, as that would have taken them another two days. The crew was very young and inexperienced. I often found them checking their phones rather than focusing on the job. And as I've been unpacking I've been more and more frustrated with how they packed. Furniture was damaged, items boxed in totally random order (I.e., kitchen items and clothes in the same box), and nothing labeled. I don't know how they were planning to be able to unpack as planned. Some items were wrapped up so securely that didn't need it while other more valuable items were tossed in a box without any protection at all. And the amount of tape used was obscene. I've spent hours and hours cutting through it all. It was completely unnecessary to use that much. And they applied tape directly on items that are now ruined, like decorative storage boxes, high end sneaker boxes and expensive dresses. This was by far the worst moving experience I've had.
