VERY highly recommended. Five star service, to be sure! I contacted Focus on fairly last minute notice requesting an out-of-state move less than two weeks before Christmas. (Focus specializes in piano moving, and I needed my childhood piano + a few other miscellaneous items transported from Massachusetts to New York.) Owner Liviu responded to my initial quote query (which was competitive) nearly immediately and within the hour confirmed he'd be able to meet my timing needs, despite the holiday season. Furthermore, though I provided a 5-6 day window, he offered to complete the move on MY ideal date. Sweet. What was great about the move itself? My mom indicated that Liviu and his right hand man showed up at her home at the exact appointed hour and that they carefully packed and protected all of the items that were to be trucked. In fact she let me know that Liviu and crew "were the best movers" she'd ever used and that she'd be using them for her own upcoming entire-home move. A bold statement, considering she's moved a LOT. Liviu was also a fab communicator. He kept me informed of his whereabouts via text message, sent email reminders and arrived on time at my delivery location as well. Additionally, Focus stuck to its quote (and then some, as Liviu delivered a couple of other less heavy items on the house without a quote adjustment), damaged nothing in transit and carefully yet swiftly manned my heavy upright Yamaha into its new abode. We hired Liviu and his team to move my one-bed Back Bay apartment into my boyfriend's apartment in Somerville. These guys were AMAZING. They moved us out of our 1500 Sq foot single Family home in Medford and into a larger home ( couple of days later) in the same town. They held the items on the truck for 3 nights at a for small and reasonable fee. Their price overall was far less than what I was quoted by some of the bigger names. They were super easy to communicate with, responsible, professional, and personable. We ended up not being able to go upstairs on move in day, due to hardwood not being dry, and they came back the next day to do the upstairs move for only a small fee. We had a great experience with Focus Moving Services. Liviu called me within 20 minutes of filling out my assessment form. We discussed logistics of the move, and he confirmed that he could do the move the day I was looking for. Shortly after, he sent me over a quote and I confirmed that he would do our move. Liviu and his partner showed up exactly when they stated they would. Both were very friendly throughout the day. They came upstairs to our 3rd floor apartment, quickly assessed the place and got to work at once. No wasted effort or energy by these guys. The entire move - from 3rd floor apartment to 1st floor apartment - took 3.75 hours. I should note that the 3rd floor apartment had no elevator - and the stairs were narrow and winding. These guys had no issue at all getting everything down easily. They wrapped all pieces of furniture/TV's. Handled everything with care. We were thoroughly impressed with Focus; we will absolutely use them again for any move's that we have. read more

Hands down the best moving company I have ever used...and this should be taken seriously since I have moved almost 30 times in my life (no exaggeration!). We had them pack and move us and not only did they wrap things and move them with the utmost attention to detail, they stayed within the quote even when they had to use extra boxes and stayed an hour later than they estimated. Focus Moving moved all my belongings from a one bedroom apartment on the second floor to a two bedroom apartment on the third floor. They got to the first place at 8:10 and left the second place at 11:30. The drive is somewhere between half an hour and an hour. The price was less than their quoted estimate and less than every other estimate I received. They did not lose a single box. They hoisted a couch onto the third floor balcony. My cats even liked them. They were very professional and nothing got damaged. And all of this was on September 1st! I will be hiring them again next time I move! read more

I called Focus Moving for a quote and compared among other local movers, and they had competitive rates. Liviu was extremely helpful with the scheduling process for the move. On the move day, they called me to give me a heads up that they were on the way. They brought blankets, tape, mattress bags and wrapped all of my furniture to ensure it was safe in transit. I have moved three times in the past three years and have had three different moving companies! These guys surpass the other two companies by leaps and bounds. I was very concerned about my moving due to not having a moving permit. Liviu said not to worry they would find a way to park the truck! They also arrived an hour and a half early per my request! It all worked out beautifully. As soon as they arrived at first destination they went into action and efficiently and methodically packed my belongings up in the truck! They even gave me a lift to my new place! Once we arrived at second place and lucked out with enough space to park (thanks to great neighbors!) they unpacked the truck and position my furniture fast and beautifully! Great movers. I'd use them again in a minute. Liviu and his colleague are so efficient, but also gentle with your stuff. Scheduling was easy. His estimate of how long packing and moving would take was spot on, down to the half-hour. Stairs did not faze them. Price was just right. Included dismantling Ikea desk and putting it back together again (you know how frustrating these Ikea operations can be). Focus almost makes you want to move again (well, not really...). I have never written an online review for anything before, but these guys were so great I just had to. Liviu and his crew helped us with both packing and moving and did a fantastic job with both. They were super flexible when we had to change from one move date to two, stored our stuff for us for almost a week and a very fair price, and were right on time on both move days. Unfortunately, the movers moving out the people from our new place were late. But the Focus guys were very patient and understanding and did a great job both on the move out and the move in. I still don't know how they got our couch over the second floor railing at our old place, and in through a window at the new!
