4.5 stars: This was my first time playing at South Point. I usually play at Stations, and miss Fiesta! Big room, well kept, 2 free drinks with minimum buy in. Quick Summary: If it's your first time here, don't do paper (it's too complicated). If you don't mind spending the extra money, pay for the gem and star games. When they pay it's a lot. Look at the session information so you understand the games for that time slot. The first game each session is triple bingo. If you are new, I'd advise using an electronic machine so it can daub for you. Some sessions have THREE $1000 coveralls! Had a great time playing bingo at South Point on a Saturday night! I've played bingo over at GVR before but this was my first time playing at South Point. Their bingo room is on the second floor next to the movie theater and bowling alley, where we showed up for their 7:00pm session. Their games start at odd numbered hours (1:00pm, 3:00pm, 5:00pm, etc etc) and all games last about an hour. Note that they do not accept credit/debit cards of any kind, only cash. It was $52 for three different bingo sheets, in which we purchased one of each for the both of us. There was a long line when we got there but it started moving quickly once everyone got their cash and club cards out in advance. You have the choice of playing on paper or on a digital screen. I like to play on paper so I brought my marker that I had purchased from GVR with me. This was my boyfriend's first time playing bingo at a casino so I just gave him one of my extra markers rather than purchasing one from here. I noticed that other players also had markers that came from Station Casinos, so it was nice to know that we weren't alone in this situation haha. The game started about five minutes late because there were still people in line purchasing their bingo sheets. During the game, you have the option of ordering complimentary cocktails. I got a Sprite/vodka cocktail and my boyfriend got a Coke/rum cocktail. What I liked about this is that the alcohol in these drinks wasn't too strong. Drinking while playing makes it more fun! Though we didn't win any games (my boyfriend was ONE number away from winning a game at one point), we still had fun and we would like to play bingo here again next time. read more

OMG I am a huge fan or Bingo but never really participated in a game except for on a cruise. Since I was a newbie, we asked the cashier for more info and I was sold. She hooked it up with a deal so I got multiple games and bonuses for each round. Unfortunately, I was not a winner but I still had a lot of fun. Before the game begins, a waitress comes around to ask for your drink orders. Make sure you order two so it can last the whole game. You can order drinks at the register too and they will hand them to you right then and there. Definitely stock up so you can be sipping and playing. The room is huge and when someone hits BINGO, you can see the excitement. Workers go around verifying and people are issued money and sometimes the amount is decent. Southpoint Bingo Hall is amazing with really great people working there! I went to their 2M tournament in March which draws at least 2,000 people in 1 room. The set up is so good that at capacity you never feel crowded. The line that you stand in to do your buyin moves so fast. Southpoint offers a little breakfast treat of baked goods and drinks which was a great surprise. I think their games are fairly priced! The volume in the room is at a level where you can always hear the caller and they can hear you when you yell Bingo! When you are in that bingo hall it's always upbeat and during the break they have a DJ that plays music and people get up and dance and just have fun. Well worth every penny you will pay to play Bingo there!! if you have a chance go on their website and check out their big tournaments and sign yourself up. You won't be disappointed. We planned to try Bingo on our girls trip to Vegas so found ourselves at the South Point Casino. We took a cab from the strip to the South Point. The Resort is HUGE! I did my research before coming (thanks YouTube vloggers) and knew the Bingo offered several sessions throughout the day. The Bingo area is upstairs. There is plenty of seating, a smoking section, bar with complimentary drinks, and a drink cart comes around once while playing. There are a mind blowing amount of options and multiple games with funky twists - this ain't your grandma's bingo. If you are a bingo newbie, I cannot stress enough - pay for a machine bingo package. It marks all the numbers for you and lets you know if you have Bingo. The machine shows the cards that are closest to a win as you play each game. My friends got bingo on the same game with about 4 other people but because of those funky additions in the game, when the jackpot was split, 1 friend won $13 and the other won $25. We had so much fun, we stuck around and played another session! My friend ($13 winner from the 1st session) won in the last game coverall - like a second chance win because someone had already won, but they pulled one more number and she and another person had bingo. We wouldn't have even known except the machine showed BINGO! She walked away with over $300 dollars We will come again next year! read more

We went to play Bingo today. I am local and brought my family from Canada and Philipines. We are 5 total. 3 adults playing and younger adults decide to stay with us. A blond lady named Kimberly came harassed and humiliated us. She raised her voice to us saying the 2 others need to get out or play. She snatched the 2 beers we were drinking and tossed in the trash! And yelled if you want beer buy it in regular price! We were shocked with her rudeness and all she needs to say politely is to buy 2 more bingo games, and we will. We ended up buying 2 more without a problem. But yelling, humiliating and tossing our drinks away, after giving a $10 tip to the bar is ridiculous. Kimberly is a bully. I hope the management gets to know how she treats guests. Red Rock employees are more accommodating and respectful. read more

This is the standard bingo hall built by the Coast Casinos before they were sold to Boyd and the South Point was sold to Michael Gaughan as a separate unit. The hall is roomy, bright, and I found the staff to be very nice. I came here for a UYE bingo event to celebrate Teri W's birthday. Since it had been about 10 years since I played bingo in Las Vegas, the young folk explained to the old guy what to do. I saved our tables while some waited in line to buy their cards. I then went and got my cards and the electronic machine. The electronic version makes it so easy. You don't have to do a thing except yell BINGO, and for our table, we didn't even have to do that! The machines are quite easy to use and you really need do nothing but watch. Everything else is automatic. This leaves ample time for quiet (sometimes) talk and you can update your Facebook status as many times as you want. The bingo hall at the South Point is very pleasant. Who knew that B-I-N-G-O was more than just a kids song or just a game that your grandparents play.... Granted it's popular amongst the older crowd but, it's definitely something fun and different that can take up an hour of your time..... And trust that there are SOME characters up in this place....like that Rosanne Show episode where Bingo Players are ultra superstitious and brought props and/or good luck charms.... I always wanted to play so, the BF took me to have a go at it. Should be noted that I know a few people that have won over $5k in Bingo so, I was hoping that beginner's luck was on my side. The cashier recommended the combo or package where you get certain number of games and you pay extra for the automatic machine/dotters. So far, I've played bingo maybe three times and all three times, it was at South Point. They have plenty of games through the days. We typically go to the 11 PM games -- the prizes aren't as big as the 9 PM games but there is a lot less people. They have a few packages that you can get. You can play on paper or on an electronic device. The electronic device comes with a $2 fee. If you have a South Point players card, some of the packages provide a small discount .. $3 or so. Sometimes I get the blue package with coverall, bonus ball, etc. It's $21. And one time I got the special A package which contains a small rainbow package with all the add ons, it'll come out to be like $36 or so? You get 2 drinks every time you play, which is pretty nice. I typically just get two beers. Unfortunately, I've never won but I've gotten close! Overall, pretty cool place to go and hang out with friends. Games run on the odd hours of the day with the biggest jackpots at 900PM i believe. I had always known but got reminded exactly how much electronic bingo is .. According to my review in 2014, i used to play a blue packet for $4 with double action for extra $2. So $6... This most recent visit, i paid $19 for a 2 pack blue electronic with double action, bonus ball, and an electronic fee. Ouch? In comparison to how it was back then, many many more people play electronic now compared to paper. Paper is available still. More expensive packages seem to give a small $2 discount. 1 of us had gotten it.. He got a special A pack Sigh... after all these years, i've gotten close !!! So close that my game beeps saying theres 1 number left ! ! ! but sigh... unfortunately its never me. 2 of the 5 of us actually hit bingo this time too !
