Going here was a horrible experience. I didn't want to give a one star because I found what I wanted and more but some people here made me feel super uncomfortable. My partner and I came in to just browse and he needed to use the restroom. I was flagged down by 3 different employees twice each and kept staring at me. I get that i look super young but still. Then after my partner came out and we kept looking around we were flagged down again by same employees as if we were doing something wrong. We kept getting asked "do you need anything?" Ordered online for curbside pickup. Great selection to choose from online. My order was ready very fast, one beer I ordered was out of stock and I got a call from Charlie asking how I'd like it resolved. Got it voided, easy. I didn't plan to pick up until the next day so browsing again since I can't help myself and found a summer seasonal I love but figured no way they'd have it. Called and got Charlie again, they had one left! Added it to my pickup and paid over the phone. Super easy. Will definitely use this service and this Binny's again. read more

So I've never been to this location before. I have to say I'm blown away... We called in I asked if they had proper 12 whiskey they said yes so I said cool well head over. Get there about 30min later walking around, getting samples, and so I ask a guy - hey you should have the Proper 12 here.... he walks me to it. "Oh we're sold out." Its been hot. I'm like oh mannn I just called you said you had it. He goes I was about to ask if you called we put a bottle to the side for you. I'm like OH?? Sure enough they had ONE BOTTLE saved for me! I didn't ask them to do that... they just did it to make that ONE random customer happy. I am really shocked. I remember when the closest Binny's was in Buffalo Grove and I luckily worked nearby for about a year. Was probably the only place I could find bottles of imported Hefeweizen Dunkel after returning from a trip to Germany over a decade ago. As much as I try to avoid going near Randall Road I remember seeing the Binny's sign for the first time. Sweet. Have probably spent too much time and money in there already, but the beer selection is vast. Still waiting for them to get their hands on Half Acre but that's not their fault. During one trip we spoke with Jeff for a while who shared my love of all things Lagunitas and echoed my recent disappointment in the Three Floyd's tour and products. He made sure to invite us to the following weekend's autumn beer tasting. It was a great way to compare back-to-back a good 25 beer selections and pick a few winners (like a pumpkin spiced selection from Hoppin Frog). I have to venture a guess that if Binny's doesn't have it, then it's either not worth having or it's simply unattainable. read more

4 members of our Que Syrah, Syrah wine tasting club took a Saturday drive out to Algonquin to check out the "Best of 2019 Wine Tasting." The place was packed, but well organized. There were 7 tables of wines to try, in all price ranges, so everyone could find their newest favorite. The "Pourers" and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. All of us had a great time at the event tasting so many wines and interacting with others attending the event It was well worth the drive out, and we plan on attending another event there in the future. If you are a wine lover, you know there is nothing better than tastings, and Binny's "Events" are definitely the place to do that..... And when you drink good wine, "Sip Happens" Cheers! read more

This place is AMAZING! , It's pretty hard to find a more diverse selection of beer anywhere within a hour. Next you add in the helpful staff and you have a store that could fulfill all of your beer tasting day dreams. That leads me to quick tip # 1 - they have beer tasting events, they're sometimes FREE but most the times they are $10 but the money goes to local charities AND you get to taste anywhere from 50-110 beers! Fast forward post tasting event and you will have a shopping cart full of goodies to savor later! Also it's a good way to get your feet wet, say your significant other does not like Beer a lot then odds are they'll find something they like... I feel spoiled for having this place right next door! But if I had to drive to get the bounty they posses I would most defiantly drive through a blizzard much like of 2011! read more

Binny's is a great place to get some beers that you've never heard of or some of the rarer whisky's, vodka's, etc. They also have a nicely stocked humidor with fine cigars. Wines of all types, glassware, etc., too. I can't say they have the best prices, but they are fairly competitive. It's all about selection here. read more

Pulling no punches for my 100th review! This place is a Belgian Beer lovers dream! The staff is ever so helpful in finding that sure hit for the right season. Yes, we all know about the liquor, beers and other alcoholic beverages for sale.... but did you know you can buy the best dang soda too? Sprecher Soda is here!. I guarantee you wont find a better Root Beer. Fire brewed in God's country ( Wisconsin); not kraeusened , No Hallertau hops. This is the root beer of Men! heee hee Old Style!!! Forget the stuff that comes in 2 Liters and the like.,.. Us men need glass bottles...chilled to perfection. So you say "meh" to Root Beer? They have tons of other flavors to choose.... Next on my list ... Pounding my chest and sampling ( guzzling) a Gorilla Grape soda from Sprecher. My other fave comes from the land down under ( Illinois) : our very own Goose Island Sodas..... We love Binny's they have anything you could ever want - alcohol-wise...If you can't find something you like here, you don't like alcohol. They have literally HUNDREDS of different types of beers, wines, not to mention the dozens of different alcoholic beverages for sale. One time my wife and I went to a German restaurant and had a type of beer we had never heard of before and loved it, we wrote the name down fearing we'd never find it again...we went ti Binny's the next weekend and lo and behold, they had it! Today, I shopped at Binny's and it was not a plesent experience. First the four managers were to busy swirling there wine samples, and eyeing up the wine salesgirl to help me. When one of them did look up he ask me what I wanted, but it was very clear by his body language that I was interrupting his ogling over the salesgirl. Then the cashier had such a mad look on his face, and did not even ask me for my Binny's card. I even asked him if something bad had happen since everyone seamed so quite. He looked at me and said "no why what's wrong!". Shannon was the only bright spot in my trip to Binny's. I hope they get there act together, or I'm shopping at Woodmans. read more

Went in looking for a bottle of whiskey for my brother-in-law, but I knew nothing about whiskey (I'm a rum drinker) I wish I would have asked for his name, but this guy who was in the isle next to the whiskey recommended me the Knappogue 12 year Whiskey and my brother-in-law said it's his new favorite! The only way I could describe him is that he had brown hair and a little shorter (no offense), but he was nice and super helpful! read more

The best Binny's I've ever been to, bar none. Very nice, well-lit, clean store with very knowledgeable employees. Tons of available parking in the shared lot as well. I had asked if a couple new releases were still on the shelves and the fella ran in back and dug up one that was on my list. Their day-to-day selection is outstanding as well, it seems like they started carrying Jolly Pumpkin and Firestone Walker before my local Binny's did. Speaking of Firestone Walker, I went in this week and they had several cases of the XV Anniversary on hand. Not a bad haul, if you ask me. read more

Most Binny's locations have been well stocked with enthusiastic staff. This location is particularly accommodating. I needed a special order of an inexpensive wine - a $12 bottle that they didn't carry. No problem. It was ordered and staff member called me three days later to tell me it was available. read more

I thought the old Chicagoland Arminetti's chain was as good as it got when it came to wine/spirits. Binny's blows them away. I could not believe the incredible selection here, which covers the absolute gamut of what's available in wine, beer, and spirits -- from the most popular brands to boutique bottlings to highly collectible (and very expensive) Grand Cru wines, it's all here. Fantastic selection of beers and hard liquor as well as cigars. My only beef with Binnys is their prices. I can get most of the same things at Woodmans just south on Randall road for a much better price. If you are lookin for rare beer though, Binnys has them beat. The manager here is always on a power trip. My husband is into craft beers and bourbon. On multiple occasions the manager has told us he doesn't have what we're looking for (even though it's behind the counter....probably reserved for friends) and when something we want is on the shelves, he has told my husband there was a limit of 1 bottle. Even though there is no sign posted. Not like he tried to be selfish. My husband had 2 bottles of beer and the manager literally grabbed one of them out of his cart. We love Binny's! But this location is never easy to shop at if you want something special. Head to Des Plaines. They're much friendlier and easier to work with! read more

I can only comment on the beer selection. The east side of the establishment is a cooler containing all the beer broken down mostly by style. They had a great selection of local craft beers. All of the 3 hoppy offerings I chose were either clearly dated or dated on the cans as fresh, which was a pleasant surprise. Too often I see old hoppy beers on the shelf elsewhere. read more
