My recycling and compost carts from Recology - the nastiest things ever. We're great recyclers, especially food waste, and anyone who saw our green waste bin would know. The blue recycling cart wasn't much better. We hose it out from time to time and when we weren't in drought I'd take a long-handled brush and some Simple Green to them. But not now and truthfully if I did, it would barely touch the mess. Last week it was crawling with ants on top of the rotting food and decomposing grass. I asked Recology about replacing them and they wanted a bajillion dollars. Really, I thought TNT was the only option. And then I heard about Bins 2B Cleaned. A man and his truck came. He must've been here close to an hour working on the carts. They were gorgeous when he was finished! Like brand new. Their truck says clean, sanitize and deodorize. SURPRISE! It was true! None of our yucky mess was left on the street, in the gutter, or rolling down the street. It was gone. Abracadabra. What a treat. My bins were bad. Like "I hope the neighbors don't complain because these bins stink" kinda bad. I must have missed the day in high school when they taught you how to not make your bins smell like death because wow these things were BAD. On top of everything they also LOOKED bad like they were crusted and gross. I think I signed up at midnight and they showed up the very next day, did whatever they do, and left them looking amazing (or as amazing as a trash bin can look). If I hadn't already signed up for recurring service I would have right then and there. I'm now absolutely a pre-paid, recurring customer. Can you tell I'm excited about a clean garbage can. I inquired about a cleaning yesterday and he was here today I was so impressed by how quick and responsive he is. Our bins look and smell amazing. There's a hole in our compost where maggots are coming from and he showed my husband where we need to seal it to try to prevent them. I really recommend getting your bins cleaned. We're going to see how long it takes for them to get gross again so we can figure out what kind of recurring plan we want to sign up for, but we will definitely be signing up for one. The trash and recycling bins at my home were quite filthy so I paid this company 75 dollars to clean both bins. They take about an hour and a half to do all the bins, I left the bins at the curb like trash day and the 2 men arrived in their truck and opened the back and began inserting the bins 1 at a time in the back. I watched them from the window as they hosed and applied cleaner to each one and thoroughly cleaned each one. Lastly they dried them and put them close to the house in my driveway so I wouldn't forget to put them away. I smelled them later and they have a borax or clean laundry aroma to them, it was quite nice. Recommend this company. read more
