I used Yelp to help me find a painter for the exterior of my house and Escobar Pro Painting was one of the four offered to me. I received a call from Nelson almost immediately after posting my painting request! :-) In fact, Nelson came by that very afternoon to do an initial walkthrough. He told me he would prep & prime the house before using high-end Benjamin Moore paints. This worked out perfectly as my parents used not only the same paint, but Nelson even got the paint from the same exact paint store my parents used! What's more, the store still had my mom's exact color choice still on file. Can't get much better than that! :-) As the estimates went, Escobar Pro was right in the middle for pricing. I usually like choosing from the middle of the pack in cases like this. Once the quote was signed, Nelson quickly arranged a day to start. But, as I had something coming up a bit earlier than expected, Nelson was VERY accommodating in pushing up the schedule to an earlier start. The first day, a couple guys came over to pressure-wash the house and prep for priming. When the day of painting arrived, a crew of at least seven guys showed up early in the morning. By the end of that second day, they had the entire house sanded, prepped, & primed! A carpenter was there to replace any dry-rot (of which there was a fair amount). Even my neighbors told me they were impressed by all the hard work everyone was doing. On Day Three the workers finished the final coat and did final touch-ups. Additionally, Nelson recommended I stain the wood fence pillars on my tiered patio in the backyard. For a nominal price, his workers got THAT done, too, all at the same time! To say my house now looks great is an understatement. It's absolutely magnificent and exactly how I hoped it would look! To be fair, there were just a few tiny touch-ups needed which a guy came out to do and he did a great, great job! A couple quick things: The workers will need to use your bathroom, so be sure to tidy up! :-) Also, they will use your exterior water and need access to electrical plugs. They may also ask to store stuff in your garage while they work. A couple workers may ask if they can warm up their lunches in your microwave (absolutely not a problem with me). Again, I am absolutely satisfied with my freshly-painted home and newly-stained railings. I will definitely use Escobar Pro in the future should any painting needs arise! read more

Three years ago Escobar Painting was hired to paint the exterior of our house. Although the contract called for two coats of paint, it appeared that two coats were applied only in certain areas. We now have some chipping and rust showing through. In spite of the above, we did solicit a bid from this company to repair and paint cracks in three rooms of our house. Nelson looked over the job and asked if we didn't want the whole rooms painted. i said it didn't appear necessary. He said he would send us his bid, but hasn't done so. I wanted to wait a couple of weeks after they completed their exterior paint job before writing this review. My wife and I are happy with the results and can't say enough about Nelson and his crew. From the initial call to the final inspection, Nelson was responsive, concise and communicative. You could tell that he was very experienced and knowledgeable. We liked that he did not oversell you on things that you did not need and did not make a high-pressure sales pitch, unlike some of the others we had interviewed. He is licensed and bonded. On the 1st day when the crew came to powerwash the house, he even power washed my deck which was in desperate need of cleaning. That was a thoughtful task that no many would think of or offer. While his crew were not all fluent in english, they were approachable, diligent and friendly. Mostly, they cleaned up after themselves after each work day. They fixed and repaired the cracks and smoothed out rough patches so that it was much better than before. With a crew of 6-7 people each day, they were able to complete the job in quick and efficient. On the final day for inspection, I had noticed some items and pointed this out to Nelson. He immediately called in 1-2 guys who came to address them. We thought his estimate was fair and in line. Our family has hired Nelson Escobar on at least four occasions since early 2018. Our daughter hired him when he was just starting his own painting business to paint the interior of her newly purchased condo prior to move in. She was so pleased with the quality of his work and the friendly, helpful service, that we hired him a year later to paint the walls and floor of our guest room. By then, he had increased the number of workers he supervised and again, we had a very good experience. Since then, we have used Nelson and his growing crew to do two exterior painting jobs. We specifically asked our contractor to try him out during a remodel a few years ago and we know our contractor has used Nelson on other jobs since. We will call Nelson again whenever we need painting done. Nelson runs a tight ship. His workers are on time every day. They are focused on their work and amazingly unobtrusive. We have had workmen doing work for us in the past as well as for our neighbors who were loud and raucous, particularly when the boss is not present. This is not the case with Nelson's crew. We requested the use of a particular paint brand and were pleased to see that Nelson regularly used it. The areas being painted this last time were areas that are exposed to the most sun and more quickly compromised. Nelson advised us on using the products and practices most likely to extend the times between repainting. He came by at least once each day to check on the work, usually more frequently. He kept in good communication during the job both with his workers and with us. He kept a sharp eye on the work quality and his workers appear to like and respect him, which told us that they like being able to work for him. It is clear that Nelson is determined to be a success not only to support himself and his family but to build a successful business with a reputation of using quality products and well trained, professional employees. His prices are reasonable given the high-quality paint used and quality of the work. We have hired many people to work on our 100+ year wood frame house for over 40 years. We had Escobar painted our entire house, front and garage door, as well as the front gate and column lamps September 2023. Escobar is very honest and straightforward as well as friendly to talk to and work with. We had to travel midway through the project for 2 months so we communicated through texts and photos. My friend will come by occasionally to check progress but everything went smoothly. There was one sideboard that has dry rot that needs to be replaced at a reasonable additional cost. We added a few small items for minimal additional cost. Came back from vacation to see a great paint job. Since we were away, no one can open front door to paint the entire baseboard.
