We had an absolutely positive experience with Fox Window and Gutter Cleaning Services. We were able to quickly schedule a visit to get our roof and gutters cleaned out and get our downspouts flushed. Fox showed up right on time with a very efficient and polite crew and did a great job. They also carefully cleaned up when they were done and left our yard in great shape. We couldn't' be happier. When your gutters get clogged, you question a few things: Why did I buy a 2 story house? and Am I scared of heights? To answer the latter question is Yes, so I called up Fox Window and got a quote from them that day by looking at Google Earth! They came out quickly (before the next storm) and did a great job at a reasonable price. My gutters had an inch of dirt in them with moss growing in it... yuck! Highly recommend them. Made a call. Got a price within two hours from their looking at our house with the use of Google maps. Offered them $30 more if they would hold the price for two years if I had them perform the service. Owner said yes so we scheduled service for two days out. But got a call saying cancellation the next morning and they were here within two hours! Paid attention to detail and for a large two story house, work was completed in less than 2 hours! Plus I asked the owner to do me a favor to help out a less fortunate neighbor; and they cleaned her gutters at no charge!! And for those of you who want Leaf Filter products, go for it as truly do help. HOWEVER. . .you will still have to have someone SWEEP OFF your gutters yearly because let's face it. . .wet leaves don't merely float away!!! And that means you still support a smaller local business from whom Leaf Filters is taking business away thruout the country! And how do you think Leaf Filter can afford all those prime time and multiple TV ads almost every hour? You betcha. . .that high price you are paying with blatantly false claims of "you will never have to get up on ladders etc. again." They just leave out the part that occasionally you are still going to half to clean off your gutters. . .oh, that's how they get away w/ false advertising.. . .semantics! Get it? First impressions are everything when it comes to the service industry, and my first experience with this company leads me to believe that I will go elsewhere for gutter cleaning service in the future. I definitely will not be recommending this company to my friends or family. I rarely write reviews but I feel that in this case it is necessary to let other Yelp users know that this company does not operate in good faith. They make empty promises and do not follow through on what they say they will do. However, I do have to give the owner/manager credit for his timely responses (hence the 2 stars). The root of the problem is that the communication skills of the crew which he sends out to the actual job site is very poor. The crew he sent to my house barely spoke English so it was almost impossible to communicate with them on a professional level. I paid $240 for literally 15-20 minutes of actual work. His crew arrived and completed their "cleaning" in less than hour. They were supposed to send me before and after pictures, but I was told after the fact that was not on the invoice. Problem with that is I took a screen shot of the messages from Yelp in which I stated and confirmed multiple times that the owner/manager would send me before and after pictures of my gutters. Owner was not even willing to compensate or offer any sort of good faith discount for the misunderstanding and miscommunication. Update: I am shocked and disappointed that an owner of a service oriented business thinks it is alright to communicate with a paying customer like this (see screenshot of texts). Reply: Thank you Mr. Jefferson for your reply. However, I find it strange that Jocí (the supposed owner/manager) did not reply himself here on Yelp. He was quick to send me angry and sarcastic texts with eyes rolled emoji's but he did not have the professionalism to address me here on Yelp? Mind you he was the one who initiated the texts in the first place with an unprofessional text regarding me as "the type of negotiator who wants to win at any cost." He also said "A good negotiator knows that one day you win and one day you lose." I have no idea what he was talking about but this is just another example of the kind of service a customer could expect when dealing with Jocí. I do have video time stamping when your crew arrived and when they left and audio of your crews lack of communication skills. I saw on video your crew go up on the roof with a leaf blower and a garbage bag. They came back down 15-20 minutes later with the bag seemingly empty. Without the before and after pictures you agreed to send how do I know your crew did what Jocí called "a job well done"? I know that I did not see any pressure washer and you did not use my water hose. Furthermore, there was no trace of water when I got home and checked my gutters from the ground about an hour and a half after your crew had left. read more
