Extremely Unprofessional Instructor - Unsafe for Kids I enrolled my son in his very first badminton class here, hoping it would be a positive introduction to the sport. Unfortunately, the experience was the exact opposite. The instructor was shockingly rude from the start, and at one point even kicked my son's leg while "correcting" his posture. This is completely unacceptable behavior toward any student, let alone a beginner attending his first class. No child should ever be subjected to physical aggression or humiliation in a learning environment. My son left the class upset and is now unwilling to return, which tells you everything about how damaging the interaction was. As a parent, I'm deeply disappointed and concerned that this kind of conduct is allowed to happen under their program. I strongly urge management to address this issue immediately and ensure instructors are trained to work with children respectfully and safely. Until then, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. read more

First time here, the reception there was not friendly nor helpful, did not give much information or instruction, no customer service. $15 per child and $17 per adult on a weekday from 11am to 2pm, not too bad if you can play for 3 hours. I hope they can have other option to just rent the court per hour. read more

Pros: lot of good players at different levels and generally welcoming, good no of courts, there are coaching options for kids, have an overall decent ok-ish working system. Cons: Not great in terms of court quality, lighting and basic amenities. Walkins are expensive. read more

If I could, I would give a zero. People who plays there were not friendly, as a parent, I am very disappointed. My son and his friend were there playing by themselves, but they ended only able to play 30 min and the facility told them that some courts are reserved and all adults who were just telling them it's not there turns or tell them to go to another courts that have been reserved. It's really a pity that kids don't get a chance to play if there are no adults that help them navigate. Very disappointed. read more

Walk ins are $20 which explains the 3star rating. I'd love to come more often but the price is relatively high. Courts are fine. There are around 14 courts, usually some are taken by the students training. Sign up system is easy to use. And wait times are not too bad. Sometimes 0-10 minutes wait during the day. It gets pretty warm inside during a warm day so bring some water. They have water fountains but it lookin nasty. It's close to me so I'll go, just not as often as I would like read more

Being playing there for 5+ years. Advanced level. + Floor has good cushion. Better than synergy Fremont. - Expensive, drop in is $20 as of mid 2023. Might go up further. Few courts open to open gym. On weekday nights, there are about 16 courts in total. 10 are used for kids training hence not open to public till 8pm. Out of the other 6, 3 are reserved to those who pay extra for booking. Basically, only 3 out of 16 courts are available for those who pay $20 drop in fee. That's a little ridiculous. read more

This place has owners who do NOT care about their members. They recently renewed yearly membership for many of us - about 30 or more. After renewal they started to reserve courts on-line for whoever paid most..under the disguise of premium services. So out of about 15 courts 9 are reserved for children coaching between 4pm to 8pm everyday. Out of the remaining 6, 2 or 3 are rented out online as a premium service. This leaves members with only 3 to 4 courts to play between the prime time of 6 to 8pm. Purely a BAIT and SWITCH. Have brought it up to Management who is refusing to listen to members. Their claim is software is built like that!!. Really,  software can be changed to whatever you want it to do. Greed is the underlying problem not the software. Why do paying members who have been coming there since more than 8 years have to pay extra to play.. You already hiked the yearly membership fees 40% this year!!!!. its like going to 24 hour fitness and the pool/gym is not usable because some non-member/member booked it by paying extra online.  Solutions proposed are simple. Choose either one 1. Book courts after 8pm. 2. If you want to book courts between 6-8pm then book courts on the back side  by reducing  coaching courts. Restrooms - not being cleaned, roof leaks in rains, you can see open insulation as some portions are about to fall off and hit someone, water fountain water smells gross are other issues that seem minor to the above. Pathetic business. Our first time here. They charge $35 for booking the court and don't reveal there is $15 per head entry fee in their website. So $95 per hour for 4 people. Then when we arrived at the court they ask for entry fee. Typical bait and switch, so beware. When we booked the court online, why didn't they ask for entry fee? Other courts ask for headcount and charge accordingly. These dishonest fellows on the other hand are not transparent. read more

Tuesday and Thursday nights are super crowded. Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights are much better. The best time to play are actually day time (11:00am-14:00pm) on weekdays, many good players and no need to sign courts. read more

Came here on a Saturday night to have a fun yet active bonding experience with the family. I dont know why it's rated so low? The place is nice enough and has a good number of courts. I think most of the people playing that night were members or part of league but they were friendly. If you're not serious players and just want to try it out like we did, you can rent rackets and buy shuttlecocks when you get there. The only thing that I didnt like was there was a very lengthy registration process which I didnt think was necessary for a 1 time play scenario. the staff was very nice though. read more

I have come here several times with my friends whom love playing badminton. I never understood how fun badminton could be until I came here, badminton is one of those sports that a wide variety of people can play since it doesn't involve heavy balls and there isn't a huge chance of hurting yourself. I love seeing the variety of people that come here ranging from 5 to over 50. They do not provide rackets here to rent... but they do have plenty of birdies around. They get pretty crowded here on weekends,and you will end up having to put your name on the reservation list in order to get on the courts. It is $9 to play for the whole day ( which is pretty affordable ) . Tips * Bring lots of water, since the courts aren't air conditioned. You must bring your own rackets! Have fun! read more

I'm really glad they opened an actual badminton facility nearby. The next nearest badminton gym is about 40 minutes away (I believe BBC now, formerly Smash City). Before this place opened in 2008, I would go to a local school gym which was only opened a few days out of the week for badminton. This place charges a $9 entrance fee. $10 minimum if you want to use credit. You get a username and password to use to reserve courts. The place is small in comparison to other badminton gyms. 6 courts, 2 of which are reserved for lessons from 6-8 PM, which leaves 4 courts available. The courts look worn out. The two furthest courts are too close to the walls. Claiming a court requires using a sign-up system. After signing up using your name and password, you wait until the court opens up and get 30 minutes to play. There are restrooms, but no water fountains available, so make sure to bring water. Despite the gym's size and condition, I am just glad we have an actual badminton facility to play at. read more

I have been playing in Bintang, Dublin since past 6 years. Post Covid, the Bintang management has come up with several money earning policies that created unprecedented rush during the 6 to 8 rush hour. Training classes are being conducted till 8pm, which takes half of the courts. In the remaining half (6 courts), 3 courts are open for private parties to reserve by paying extra amount. That leaves 3 courts for about 30-40 members who come to play during 6-8pm. You can think about the rush during that time. The membership dues are also increased by 30% without any improvement of the facility. Overall a very pathetic game experience post covid. read more

This place gets hot, hot, hot... but it will have to do! $10 entrance fee (all day). There are 14 courts in the facility. Unfortunately, some of the courts are very close to the wall, making the full experience limited. Since the location is in Dublin, it can get pretty hot and stuffy during the summer. This place gets very packed during the weekday and sometimes on the weekend, so there is a court reservation system. read more

I have been to most of the badminton clubs in the Bay Area and decided to try this one out in Dublin. When I first drove into the parking lot, it looked dark. I got there around 7pm and there was no light outside between the parking lot and the entrance. It's a safety issue there. Stepped through the entrance and found out this place was SMALL!!! Very tiny front area for people to register. The computer system was pretty much similar to most clubs around. Only 6 courts in this facility. No showers available. The 2 courts at the end were too close to the wall. That's another safety issue. At 7pm, 3 of the courts were reserved for training. 2 were challenge courts and 1 for regular play. Luckily, there weren't that many people otherwise I can imagine the wait will be LONG.... Maybe I was not used to this place, but the courts did seem a litter shorter. The flooring felt weird also. It felt like just rubber mats on top of wood panels. I did have fun with my friends, but probably won't come here again unless my friends ask me to. read more

I'm glad there's a badminton gym closer to where I live! I've been going to the Bintang in Milpitas for a while now, and though that location is bigger, it is always crowded and is super stuffy. The set-up at this Bintang is similar to the Milpitas location, except that there's fewer courts. I really like that it's not super crowded, even on weekends! read more

Used to come here occasionally during the summer before I started college 5 years ago, nice to see this place is still standing. Came through today with a big group of friends. The place is small the the courts are well kept. If it's crowded expect to wait. You sign up on the computer for a timed slot at one of the 6 courts. There's a bathroom and a little waiting area with a bench and a couple of super cheap plastic chairs that if you weigh anything over 120 you question whether or not it would be safer to just sit on the floor. There's no A/C, probably because it would interfere with the flight of the birdie so be prepared to sweat! read more

This place is very small. It only has 15-16 courts. The open gym is $11/per person. We went on Saturday when it opened at 10 and the staff said that the inner courts (9-10courts) were reserved for all their students, so technically only 6 courts were opened for play. You can only reserve 30 min at a time, too. The foundation of the structure also doesn't look safe and a lot of the walls have holes on them and not repaired (see pics). I would rather drive back down to South San Francisco or go to bay badminton where staff is nicer and the place is bigger. I don't think I will return. read more

2.5 stars is probably more appropriate, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt. I have been to this location about 5 times. The place is the epitome of "okay". It is good if you are comparing it to the local school gym (nearby San Ramon has badminton in a school gym a couple times a week). There is a computerized sign up system that keeps things moving if it is crowded and the lighting is decent for seeing the shuttle. However, you will probably be disappointed if you are comparing it to the other Bintang facilities or any of the other dedicated badminton courts. There are only 6 courts and nothing really special to talk about. BASICS 6 courts (FYI - half of the courts are used during the week from 6-8pm for lessons, so only 3 courts are available during that time and it can get a little crowded) $8 for drop in unlimited play (you can get a 10 times pass for $75) Racquet rental for $3-$5 depending on the racquet Shuttles, racquets, and drinks for sale Services like restringing available Lessons available, but definitely not cheap THE GOOD It is a dedicated badminton court in Dublin (there aren't any others nearby) The rotation system is easy The people (both staff and players) have been nice every time I have gone. It usually isn't too busy and you can get on a court. The ventilation is decent (although you will probably still be pretty sweaty after a session) THE NOT SO GOOD The place is small and IF IT IS crowded, you will play 30 minutes and wait an hour or more to get back on the court The lights shine straight down on the court, so you can lose sight of the shuttle on some high clearing shots. Not the cleanest courts, just seems a little run down. Overall, I will still come here regularly. If I lived closer to another place, I would probably go there. read more

Who would of thought there was a training center in the Tri-Valley area that dedicates itself to the fast growing sport of Badminton. The place is small, the prices are low ($8/adult $5/kid), and beginners can take up a class or start off with everything they need or want from their shop. Talk about being one of the alternative ways to exercise or inexpensive ways to enjoy a couple of hours with your friends and family. A high rising sport for all ages, fast paced and very easy to learn! Come check this place out and you'll be surprised at the physical and mental level of skill offered here! Great place to play!! 6 Yonex Mats Suspension Wood Flooring. Lights arent bad either. Pretty great. The only thing that i wish they had was a shower! Dont like going out after all sticky and sweaty! They have alot of classes too! Two Coaches! Ron and Ryan. I met them both! Great Guys and they are very passionate about coaching. I've watched them coach their students its very instructional and friendly at the same time. They have classes everyday and year-round. They can easily fit your schedule. My experience there was pretty neutral the guy at the counter just asked me to sign-in and i played my heart out. It wasnt super packed like the other Bintangs so i didn't wait long in-between. Small. Poorly managed. Few amenities (not even water)! There were a lot more people here for the number of courts available, and the populace in attendance are overly aggressive and pushy about reserving their courts. On a weeknight, we had to wait half an hour to play for half an hour, while other more aggressive and pushy members played multiple times in a row. Moreover, people were shoved aside to get to the computer to put their names in. Full of court hogs and unpleasant characters. The reservation system was poorly designed and not intuitive. The resting areas were poorly policed; people were playing in the space between benches -- inches from where people were sitting! Not coming back. read more

The management needs to be more strict in following the rules, they ask people to sign up and reserve the courts but when it's your turn the people won't even leave the court til like 15 minutes later. What's the whole point of signing up when you don't even get to play when it's your turn. Some players are also very mean. There aren't many badminton courts in the Bay Area. In fact, the Bintang academies are the only ones I've heard of. This particular place has 6 courts I think. They charge you 8 dollars per person, and I think you can stay there till when the place closes (or more accurately, as long as your stamina holds!) I've been here only once, and I played for about 3 hours. 8 dollars for 3 hours...not bad. Yes, I used to play for free when I was in college, but hey, I don't think you can expect anything cheaper than that in the Bay Area. read more

only place for badminton in tri-valley area. 6 courts specifically made for badminton (not basketball court converted into badminton). sad part is 3 courts are reserved for kids training and one court is champion challenge court. so around 30+ people are competing for 2 courts. They have all services available related to badminton including training. However stringing is not always up to the mark. There is only one person(Brian) does good stringing. They are increasing fees almost every quarter but no additional facility. They don't have even water fountain. read more

Bintang Dublin badly needs maintenance. The boards underneath have become uneven so lot of players get sprains and twisted ankles. Court line are coming off and court is ripped at places causing further tripping hazard. The front desk is well-informed of these problems but seems like the management is not interested in doing business in dublin. The atmosphere is nice but that is mostly the players have a good attitude. Bintang needs to step up here if they really want to maintain business in dublin. read more

I had a good time playing here as the players were nice and there was a good mix of skill levels. However, the guy at the front desk on 8/8/17 evening, whoever that was, had a terrible attitude (especially when I asked about stringing) and I got so annoyed that I decided not to string my rackets there. The place is OK, but not great. It's big and not to too crowded. Plenty of parking spaces. The floor is a bit worn out, but the main issue is it feels like putting a layer of hardwood floor on top of matrice. Hard and slippery on the surface while soft in the sole. It should have been the other way around. The dusty floor makes it even more slippery. read more

This is my first time being in a badminton training center and overall had a good time. There are 6 courts (You're signed up for 30 mintues slots and rotate with others if its busy in order to give everyone playing time- you only have to pay the $8 fee once though). The place is not very well-maintained. There is NO AIR-CONDITIONING, and for an indoor athletic facility, thats not such a good idea.. They sell some refrigerated drinks but no drinking fountain, I would recommend bringing your own bottled water. read more

Very rude customer service. I went there today (Saturday Dec 1st 2012) at around 3:00 pm to see if they will honor a special they had going on for yearly membership for $400. The lady on the counter was pretty rude - she said the DEAL IS OVER! Now there are many ways to say this - I know the deal was going on until Nov 30th, and I was a day late. I told her sorry I tried to get the deal couple of days back, but since they were charging $25 extra for credit card payments, I had to come back with a check book, and so hereI am just to see if I can still get the same deal. She said almost more rudely this time - IT IS OVER!!! Fine. ok! I get it. I am not there BEGGING for a deal. I can pay - I wish there were other options nearby - I will jump on it! This place is only for recreational purpose OR if your child is a part of the team. The training sessions are below average, coaches change very frequently. Each new coach will start from the basic , even though your child have attended previous sessions . It becomes hard for the kid to change the style as each coach has their own way of teaching the class and they don't even try to see what your child has learned so far. $35 per session seems very high, when the child doesn't even complete the basics in 3 sessions (24 classes). There is not benchmark/level set as what coach is going to complete or child is expected to learn at the end of each session. read more

They're lucky there's no competition. I've had to bring my rackets there for re-stringing. This last experience was better than the last, but here's the story... I drop off a racket and the staff tells me they'll call when its ready. Three weeks later I lose patience and call. Shocker, it's ready. When I go to pick it up, I don't say anything other than my name and he says, it's been here a while. I say, I was told someone would call, but no one did. He said nothing. How about, sorry? I think most of their re-string customers are members that play there and it's easy for them to grab it as they come and go. I'm not a member and Bintang is not near me. What if your car was in the shop and the mechanic said he'd call you when it's ready, but never called. You call him three weeks later and his only response is... it's been ready for a while. i've been to three different bintang facilities ( sunnyvale, milpitas, dublin), and dublin is by far the worst. just like many other people have already commented, this place is not well maintained. materials used to construct the court aren't of good quality. lines are literally taped on the floor, and you can see many of them are peeling off or have already been peeled off. they use plastic pipes to hang the nets. unprofessional. i usually play at sunnyvale bintang, but dublin bintang is close to my home. there are enough people in the evening to play with, which is a good thing. overall, this place is alright for casual badminton playing, but it's not as good as other venues in SF bay area. read more

Went there after almost a year. I enjoy whenever I play there but hey it can be maintained a little better.

What they really need is a competitor as other guys said. It used to be very crowded, after they add new courts it is getting a little bit better, but new courts have worse lights. Now things got changed again. They put on new lights on old courts which have better lights. Guess what, they only put half of lightnings and playing badminton becomes such a frustrating game because you can't see the bird sometimes.
