Not sure the reason for the low rating. My first impressions of this plasma center was positive. The service was efficient, facility appeared well kept, and the staff was hospitable. My visit took longer than expected though. I have good veins and drink plenty of water so I rarely have any issues. Maybe the nurse was new I'm not sure. Just know she kept having to adjust the needle. My donation from start to finish took almost 3 hours. Not fun. I liked that they have squeeze balls readily available, well it's more like a styrofoam roll but works the same. Also liked that they call you by name when they are ready for you. Other centers that I've gone to don't do this. Only wish that they'd speak louder or come out to the waiting area when they call your name. This is getting worse! I went to the Baltimore place, they said my appointment was for later and they would not change it. Mind you, they had 3 nurses on the counter and only 5 donors in line. I check the app, the place in Towson could see me. The Biolife app has the wrong address! Now I'm lost, and I'm late for the Towson appointment, they won't change it. I reschedule again for the place in Baltimore who NOW can see me earlier ‍ Now the Baltimore place has 1 person on the counter and a line of about 20 people. How was this better than seeing me earlier?! By the time I'm finally reach the counter (1 hour and 15 minutes later!) I'm mad. Guess what happens when you're mad? Your heart rate goes up! Now they won't see me because my heart rate is higher than my normal rate. I left without donating. How is this better than DoorDashing?! I think they make you miss donations so you won't get the new donor bonus (you have to make 8 donations in 30 days). read more

I started donating plasma a few days ago. At first everything was good. The nurses, the front desk, everyone was welcoming and nice. The worst part came when they called me to donate plasma. Someone in this comment section mentioned the name of TEARRA, well she was one of the phlebotomists. Unfortunately, she was the one that adjusted the machine and the needles on my arm. My experience was AWFUL since the beginning. I asked her to be gentle and careful because my veins are very sensitive and I'm low tolerance to pain. She didn't care about it. She totally ignored me. I was supposed to donate 880 mmHg of plasma, I only could donate 400 mmHg. Another phlebotomist asked me if I was okay because I looked weak. I said no and she had to call Tearra. She doesn't really care about the people's pain or something. This behavior SHOULD NOT be allowed in the medical field. The last part, when she took the needle out of my arm, I felt the worst pain ever. I've never experienced something like this before. I'm a nursing student and in the way my professors are teaching me how to care about the patient's wellness is so different than this girl is doing in this Biolife center. Totally dissapointed and sad that more people experienced the same problem. read more

As a new donor there is a promotion for 725$ after 8 successful donations. I initially had no problem until donation 6&7 out of 8.There is highly incompetent tech (her name starts with a A and wears glasses and works in station yellow) she will ALWAYS give you a hematoma and push the needle through your veins. Due to her poor technique I was UNABLE to complete my last donation and had FORFEIT my 100$.None of which was my fault! read more

I'm a new donor here at BioLife Plasma Donation Center. It would be my second time coming in today, and this phlebotomist by the name of Tearra made my experience very hostile. I arrived and everything went well, but things turned fast. First she butchered my last name; which is alright because it is not a common name. I simply informed her what its pronunciation is and she denied even saying it, no worries. Then, I'm sitting on the donor bed awaiting to start for about 5-7 minutes and I seen her. I politely said, "excuse me, do you know when someone will be available to assist me?" She said, I had to go to the bathroom, you want someone else to stick you? .. I said no, I was just asking a question. She said "matter of fact, move to RED (another section as I was in the purple section). I did not understand her hostile attitude towards me as I was just asking a question. Then I asked her if she had an issue with me because how she was talking to me. She said NO, but then proceeded to talk to her coworkers about me and what just happened. I don't like that and understand what her energy was like that towards me as it's only my second time there and first time ever seeing her in my life. Really dampened my experience. read more

Staff is nice, they do have a flow even if it may not seem apparent. Do expect to be there a couple of hours though. Expect to be there 3 hours for your first visit. But also be kind and patient to them. Things to remember: Bring a sweatshirt or hoodie, you will get cold. Bring headphones. Remember to drink water before going to be hydrated starting at least two days before your appointment. Eat as healthy as you can the night before. I generally try to eat some good protein like chicken or steak. read more

They scam customers. They make your first weekly donation easy and then will cancel your second donation without alerting you. They purposely try and finesse customers out of the value they would get from the second donation. read more

They told me I couldn't donate because my SSI card was not signed but I've went to csl and they ain't say nothing about my SSI being signed..I've never been refused service because of a singed SSI card read more

As stated by others, unnecessarily long wait times for first "appointment". I'm not even sure if making an appointment online is even efficient because they never confirmed if I had one at the front desk. Line 2 for new patients moves 10 times slower (feels like it doesn't move at all) than for existing patients. The employees were overall nice and understanding so that made me want to return! Second appointment, reported that I completed my physical but needed to return for my first donation. I sat at the front desk for about 10 mins, all while other incoming clients signed in and got in line (obviously knowing something I did not). I followed up and asked why I was waiting (even after signing in), they realized and instructed me to the computer and line. Still waiting =) read more

absolutely terrible! I moved from Michigan and was hoping my experience here would be similar. To say it was horrible would be an understatement. I arrived 10 minutes early to discuss changing my name in the system I waited for 35 minutes before someone even spoke with. Following that, I had to wait in line for so long since they only had 1 person processing. There were no other people working. MAJORLY understaffed and horrible customer service. read more

Today I went inside to check out your establishment. I've never been in before so I just walked in to look around. A male staff member asked if I was a new donor. I told him no but I would like paperwork on donating please. He said, "do you just have a habit of walking into strange buildings?" I said no it's my first time here so I didn't know the rules. He then says you didn't see my lovely gold sign in the front? I told him no I didn't and he proceeds to show me this tiny sign. I said no wonder I missed it, it's very small. Maybe it should be a bit bigger. He then said well you can take that up with management I just work here. I took my paperwork and left. In no way did i deserve to be spoken to this way. Perhaps if the sign was larger than a sheet of paper with tiny print this little rude confrontation could have been avoided. I'm donating elsewhere because this small interaction changed my entire feelings of your company and how your staff is trained on how they treat people especially during a misunderstanding. read more

Ms. Sandra gets a special shout out for being very client-service oriented. Overall the staff is friendly, helpful, and they thank you for coming in. I called in to ask about a specific concern and Sandra wrote down my info, called me back and offered me excellent service and resolution. All info said plan on 2 hours. I spent 2-1/2 hours standing in various lines for about 15 minutes of actual screening. At that point, with numerous people ahead of me waiting for the actual physical I bailed. Either they accepted WAY more appointments than they could handle or they took walk-ins to the detriment of people with appointments. Either way, adding on additional waiting time for the exam+ time for the actual exam + procedure would have been 4 hours easy. I bailed at that point.
