I made my appointment online a couple weeks ago and the process was easy. Upon arrival I was provided hand sanitizer and had my temperature taken. I was then provided with an ipad to complete the questionnaire. I could have done it online through an application but I wasn't familiar with it since it was my first time donating in a while with Red Cross. A few minutes later I was taken into a private room where my vitals were taken and I had to sign a couple forms. I want to say Kelly was the name of the lady helping me at this stage but I can't remember for sure. Either way, she was super friendly! Afterwards I was sent over to the donation area. I was greeted by Eugenia. She was AMAZING from start to finish. Super friendly, welcoming and gentle. I donated platelets today and it was my first time so she explained some of the process. She made sure I was comfortable the whole time by checking on me and providing blankets. The needle sticks and removal were painless. Prior to leaving she showed and explained what everything was and showed me the bag of my platelets. She told me I had a ton of them and their "recruiter" would be reaching outnto me to schedule future donations. I felt proud. =) lol The facility was clean and organized. I loved the fact that each bed had a tv with Netflix and headphones. While Eugenia was setting up she had me pick a movie. All of the places I donated prior did not have this amenity and it seemed to make the donation and time go way faster. After your donation they have you spend ten minutes in the canteen area where there is water, juice, cookies and crackers to snack on. Overall, this was one of the best donations I have had in years. I will definitely be back when I am eligible again.

Asking me about what I was watching, if I was cold, talking about my work and where I used to live (texas). She made sure I felt ok during the whole process. They have new TVs at the end of each bed connected through Netflix and amazing nurses. Snacks were very helpful to replenish quickly. The facility was clean, new and bright. I've been here when it was upstairs but this new location suits them. They made sure I got my donation shirt before I left and checking in was a breeze! Covid restrictions were in place and easy to manage. Love this team. See ya next week!

I submitted a request for an appointment at StemExpress online and received a call minutes later. I was able to set up an initial appointment for that day. I wasn't sure what to expect walking in but the decor was very clean and welcoming! The staff was super friendly and offered me snacks. I filled out my paperwork and was taken right back. The initial draw was a normal amount for tests. The whole process was super quick and I was really impressed with the entire experience.

I encountered her on different occasions and she is the same no matter when you go. You must undergo an medical assessment in order to donate plasma. After this process you will be taken into the main donation room to make your contribution. The other employees are very kind and courteous. You just have to make it past the nurse and then you'll be fine. Good way to earn pocket money and help others. I just pray they find another nurse because that one shouldn't be working with the public. I take off two stars for her lack of professionalism.

I'm not going to say I was looking forward to or eager to give blood, but I'd signed up for a…read morespecific time (1:45pm), as required, and arrived in advance of my appointment. Only to find after I'd been sitting there 15 minutes already that the blood procurement team was delayed AT LEAST 30 minutes. I found this particularly frustrating as I had left work to donate, but I stuck it out since I was already there. Luckily when I was called back, the Red Cross person helping me fill out online forms was nice and processed me through quickly. She also set me up comfortably to have my blood withdrawn. She was able to find my vein and poke me with little pain nor fanfare. This whole process took maybe 20-30 minutes and wasn't bad - I just surfed on my phone. So overall, all the Red Cross folk I interacted with were great, but the time management was lacking. I will, of course, continue to give blood, however, next time I schedule an appointment, it will be first thing in the morning, not at 1:45pm on a workday.

So, I scheduled an appointment through Goodlabs and this is where they sent me. As others have…read moredescribed, the building is a bit hidden behind others and access is a bit tricky. So, SLOW DOWN. I turned right on Holabird and my GPS told me to turn after the bank, but I was like...... Where? I missed the turn And that's the only way to get back there. So I had to circle the block and come back. On the second attempt I saw the building and the quest diagnostics sign on the building. The driveway to get back there looks like a very narrow driveway to a house. That's it! You'll see Gundalk Weapon works. There's a driveway before the building and after the building. Use either one. Once you get inside it's a bit tricky. Not really, but there's nobody telling you what to do so you feel a bit unsure. They have a kiosk that will walk you through signing in or even if you were a walk-in. Make sure to bring your driver's license because the kiosk scans that as part of the check-in. Once I was checked in I waited no more than 5 minutes before I was called back. The phlebotomist was top notch. I didn't even feel her prick me! That's rare! She was professional, took the three viles of blood and I was on my way. I was back in my car and headed home by 9:40. I'll definitely keep coming back here as I track my labs!

Finally found it and walked in late 10:40 to no one in the waiting room or at the desk thinking it wouldn't be a big deal, was waiting for 10 mins for the lady to tell me I'm 40 mins late (it was 30 but would have been 20 had I'd been taken back as again.. no one was there) and that they were about to close and to come back later but I'm squeezing this on my lunch break that's only so long to begin with and the office closes before I get off.. meanwhile this is for a surgery for something serious that I only had time for today for blood test, that will have to be pushed back another week bc the lady couldn't give me 10 mins. The lady was out of the building before break time. I knew better than to go to Dundalk.
