Well I'm back again. Here is another example of mis advertisement of information and the incompetence of the management staff. This text message was sent out and when you ask the manager was there a miss print he said no it's correct. Because you are unable to donate 6 times in 2 week time frame. Not only do they occasionally have you stand outside to WAIT in uncomfortable weather. NOTE/READ the paperwork that came with your money card in the envelope after your first donation. BioLife is RIPPING US OFF with a SO-CALLED $3.00 per month CARD MAINTENANCE FEE And BEWARE of the other fees as well. Today I made my fourth donation, and I'm more impressed with their competence, and professionalism that I was the first time I came in. Whenever somebody's going to stick a needle into a vein in your arm, having confidence in the phlebotomist is pretty important, and I have earned my confidence. I notice a lot of people complaining on here about having to wait a long time, but one thing I have discovered is I get there about 9 o'clock in the morning, and the wait has been very minimal. I've also found a little bit of appreciation for the people working with me goes a long ways. read more

I only come here cause it's a street away and they've finally decided to be a little more competitive with they're payout after several years of being the lowest. My biggest problem and I'm sure many others is they've taken away the ability to use their kiosk literally FORCING you to use their app. Which wouldn't be a big deal at all but UNLIKE the others their app and tech assistance is complete and utter trash! And every time they insist on having a broken record conversation while attempting to belittle me until they realize that I was right and finally take me to their hidden kiosk in the back. They only have one MAYBE two people doing the pre screening which is usually 5-10 mins a person just to wait in another waiting room. So if you don't come at a dead time expect to be here for 2,3 maybe 4 hours. And I'll end this review with they have maybe 2-3 employees that are actually worth anything much less poking me with a needle and not giving me a hemotoma. read more

So I've been to this place 4 times, and overall it is good. I do like the staff and the clean facility, however I've been to other plasma centers and Biomat is by far the most time tedious. Unfortunately, I did go on a Saturday for my first visit & I did not go at 7 am when they open, I went at 8 am & my entire visit took 4 hours & 24 minutes! 2nd visit on a Thursday was 1 hour 45 minutes, 3rd visit again on a Saturday was 2 hours 24 minutes & my last visit on Thursday was 2 hours 9 minutes. Just be aware & prepared if you have been to other centers because they are different. I have been to BioLife & CSL and I rarely am there for longer than 2 hours. The check in machines are touch sensitive too ~ most of them you do have to keep touching the same answer multiple times before it goes on. And yes, platinum members just go right to the front and are in & out in about an hour, so that is something to look forward to in 10 months. Overall, I do like that you do not need an appointment unlike BioLife and the $ is better than CSL, but my time is precious too so I'm unsure if I will go back to try to get to silver status. read more

The reviews don't lie! This place is professional and the staff is awesome! First time donor Onboarding process took about an hour but was very efficient!!! The staff is fun and energetic! I'm so happy I ended up here based on the reviews. New donors receive $50 first donation, $55 for the 2nd. It will depend on the month. They provide female chaperone for physical portion of the onboarding process if a male is doing the exam which I thought was gave me 2 VIP cards in order to donate and skip the line yay! My actual donation took about an hour from needle in to needle out but there are a lot of intricate steps before and after that. Give yourself about 2 to 3 hours for your first visit. The gentleman that did my physical exam, along with the girl who initiated the donation came by to check on me periodically which was nice and appreciated. While donating they do have tvs with shows or a movie on. They will sometimes give you a bag with a stress ball and headphones. read more

This place has the OLDEST CHECK IN MACHINES half dont work for months now then you get up early stand in line then people that come in late and check in gets to go before the people in line very unfair how they work to check you in. I have posted and complain aling with other people and management just DONT CARE TIME TO CONTACT CORPORATE. they allow people to come in who curses loud to other donators and allowed to continue this loud person to come with nasty behaviir. So Ive been coming to this donation place for little more than 6 months, and I have had ups and downs but today after been deferd for almost three weeks throu no falt of my own and the day I get to donate again I am treat like Im a dumbass. I have never come out of pocket with anyone in the facility. And yeah I feel like Im being trying like I did something wrong. I have dealt with Employees having a fit over another employee and was the vitcim of the fit. I have seem and been stuck completely wrong and had to deal with pain as employees walk by. Im am not happy and may quit comeing to this place which no one care one less people to worry about. read more

The people here are mostly nice so 2 stars but the communication is sorely lacking. I never wait under an hour just to be screened. EVER. The last time I was here I sat in the hallway for over an hour. They make this process painstakingly long each and every time. read more

ive been going for a little while now and i have to say that im very unhappy with my experience. the whole process is unorganized and very rushed. most days youre greeted with attitude and when its brought to the staff's attention, they get defensive instead of doing a well needed self check. now i understand having to wait for a bed but what i dont understand is having to wait for people who just laid down to get hooked up before i can when ive had a bed for 15 minutes already and then my machine was going off for a good 10 minutes once i finally finished and instead of coming to release me since i was the first to finish i had to wait until they did everyone else. what is the point of appointments and getting to a bed when youll have to wait for everyone who arrived after you anyways? it doesnt make sense and its inconsiderate. not to mention most of the staff is very aggressive with the insertion of the needle and need to relearn bedside ettiquette like greet the patient before you come over and grab their arm to get started. would definitely NOT recommend! unless you like being treated like a walking plasma bag read more

***UPDATE BELOW*** Ugh! Been coming here off and on for years. Awful! Over the years, they have gotten my chart mixed up with someone else's causing my erroneous deferral and only after my complaining to their corporate office did problem get corrected. LOST my chart causing me to not be able to donate for weeks while trying to find it. Waiting in the center for ridiculous lengths of time. Shorting me on written agreed upon compensation. I could go on and on. This is a typical experience for me: Went yesterday evening. Got there a few minutes early for 5:45 appointment. I HAD AN APPOINTMENT. Excruciatingly slow. They were "stacked". I told front desk I could come back another day/time if I would be there past 8:00. (That's over 2 hours). They said they could probably get me out by 8. Did I say s-l-o-w? Screened, hooked up, donated, and finally got disconnected at @ 7:51. Left the center. I ran a couple of errands. Went to Kroger to use the expected funds on the card, and was unable to complete transaction. Went to car and checked the balance and it was $0.00. I called center and of course no one answered as they close at 8:00. Waited another 45 minutes and no funds had ever been added. ALWAYS a problem with this center. The absolute worst. When I complained a few weeks ago about all the horrendous experiences I've had there just to try to prevent something going wrong, the front desk staff member asked me, "then why do you keep coming here?" Well, it is literally right around the corner from my house. Convenient location, but inconvenient everything else. It's honestly as if I'm inconveniencing them. I've been to other donation centers, so I know it's not unreasonable for me to expect to be in and out in an hour, but never at Grifol's Biomat on Cooper in Arlington. There is always a problem. It is never a smooth, seamless experience and the staff could care less about the donors. You can expect to be treated like an inconvenience, so beware. I'll call in the morning to see if they are gonna pay me, but I bet it's gonna be just another huge inconvenience. ******UPDATE****** I called center and left message at 7:00 am. I called again at 9:00 am and asked for manager. I was told that they switched banks on the 30th of September, so I need to come back and get a new card. Funny. On the 20th of September (just a couple of weeks ago), I donated, but couldn't use my card that was unexpired and working fine prior to the 20th. I went back to the center and was given a new card. The new card had $3.95 worth of fees deducted from the balance. When I called the customer service line on the back of the card, I was told that there was a $3.95 fee for replacement cards. When I explained that I didn't request a new card and that there was nothing wrong with the previous card, I was told I needed to to take it up with the center. I went back to the center and was told that they would refund the fees. I was told the new card was issued because they had changed bank companies and my old card was no good. The new card looked exactly like the old card except for different numbers. Now I'm being told that they switched banks AGAIN between the 20th of September and the 30th of September and forgot to give me a new card. WTF? I can come back to get a new card now or I just need to be sure and remember to get the new card next time I donate. Unbelievable! They keep record of everything in your file from the time you walk into the center until you leave. They ask your name and social at least 4 times every visit, but they withhold donor's payments by saying they "forgot" to issue me a new card? Why are they changing banks so frequently? I am not sure what to think at this point. As soon as I get payment (and new bank card), I think I might be done with Grifol's Biomat in Arlington. I don't think they care at all about their donors and I have no confidence in their staff or the company. I am literally shaking my head in disbelief right now. read more

You know, I've been coming here two days a week for a couple years now. It may not be the best, but they do their best. They have a LOT of people coming through here everyday. And they aren't all that unfriendly. They do their best for the most part to get people in and out. But, with the amount of people everyday coming and going, you're going to wait a while that's just the truth. Plus you're not a customer, they're giving YOU money. So just chill out, watch the multiple televisions or jam out to tunes on your phone, and relax knowing you are helping people in the world by donating plasma. read more

New process new day!!! I have been giving Plasma for a couple years now and I have to stay I am super satisfied at Biomat in Arlington TX. The employees are very professional, its a clean building and well organized. The process has become super slick with the new "schedule your appointment" now I am in an out with an hour and a half (all depends how fast you give Plasma). Every time I go I get greeted by some truly awesome employees who are very personable they make my appointment pleasant. I have never had an issue giving Plasma in all the times I have given. Make sure you eat well and drink lots of water the day prior before you give Plasma and your all good! read more

I was the first time a donor today and here is my feedback. I arrived here at 12:18 p.m. on a Wednesday afternoon. I didn't leave until after 4:33 p.m. Any plasma center I've ever been to has an extremely long wait so charge your phone and bring something to read or do since you won't be able to leave once it begins. There was a lot of sitting and waiting even though there was only one other new donor ahead of me. The woman at the front desk doesn't seem to be very good at handling multiple tasks at the same time. Every time I saw her going in and out she seemed flustered and forgetting to do tasks for people that she just spoke to. They need to hire someone else to help her or maybe put in a different position? For the most part the center itself was not ghetto and rowdy; although it got extremely crowded by the time that I left. Still most people just sat quietly to wait for their turn. I would suggest getting there the earlier the better and if you have nothing to do for the rest of the day. Some departments here seem to be way stronger than others. The woman in the back after I got past the receptionist was very nice, professional and handled things very quickly. So did the woman that did the finger prick and checked the blood pressure. Speak up if you haven't eaten in awhile because they will give you a snack beforehand just so you won't pass out or anything. I ate before I came but I was there so long that I had to eat something again. The phlebotomists left something to be desired. The guy i had was fortunately able to find my veins without any problems. However, WHO taught these people how to tie a tourniquet? I swear they almost ripped the skin off trying to test my arm to find which vein was better. Also it seems like different people are taking care of you once you get all hooked up. I had a woman come over when I was done to unhook the machine and she damn near torn the needle straight out of my arm then once again somebody tied the tourniquet to hold the bandage on my arm so tight I could barely flex it. I just changed the bandage now so that my arm can get some kind of circulation again and it's much better. I've had wisdom teeth taken out while awake and no laughing gas, and this was way more painful. Like I said some departments need additional training. Drink several water ahead of time because it'll make things go faster and they will do a urine test beforehand. The money comes in a prepaid Citibank card that you get before you go to the donation table but the funds take a few hours to load after. I think there's a special going on right now that the first five visits for new donors is 50 bucks. I don't know if they have any other promotions for the month of July and I don't remember what the payment amount is for returning customers. It's worth it if you desperately need the cash. I almost forgot, anyone that has donated plasma before knows they usually give you a saline drip to help replace the fluids that you lost during your donation. This place is extremely cheap in that regard because they skip the entire replenishment and just give you one bottle of Gatorade instead. read more

It's a plasma donation center so you should always expect long wait times especially on your first visit. I've found if you go there in the middle of the day there's barely any wait. Staff are friendly and it's a good way to make some extra money. You get a bonus on your 5th, 6th and 7th visit of the month and the $25 doubles the second time you visit it in a week so take advantage of that. read more

They said they couldn't Find my vein which crap because of have my blood drawn for years since I was an infant. They tell me to come back once I had hydrated because that was probably the problem so I drink water for 3 days straight went back and then they told me that I was coded wrong in the 1st place and that they wouldnt find it anyway so they really didn't even try they touched the outer layer of the skin and they don't touch deep inside were my veins are actually located after I told them that they looked at me like I was an idiot. Their paramedic there is actually knowledgeable wear vans are actually located and they wouldn't let him touch me because I don't know they really didn't give a reason other than the manager was knowledgeable and he was not pretty much its just a bunch of crap read more

this place is full of shit. first of all last week I had an incident where I was deferred for the rest of the week. they told me to call back Monday and a doctor would see my chart. today is now Wednesday I called before I came and they told me I had to see a nurse. I get here and they tell me the doctor has not checked my chart. they keep giving me the run around. I will not be coming to this bullshit ass location again besides y'all need more training read more

Incompetence is very present at this location. I recommend to go somewhere else where the staff knows what they are doing. They messed up on my wife, cant donate for 56 days. Messed up on me the first time (line was kinked in machine) did not stick me correctly today. Now I cant donate for 56 days. Me and my wife where donors for well over a year. Now we are losing 800 per month plus life threatening damage to our health due to incompetence. Go some where else!!!!!!! read more

This plasma center has made significant improvements in the screening process. That reduces the time required to make a donation. The staff are friendly and professional. I have been donating fir several years and Grifols has improved things over that time. Wish they compensated donors a little better. read more

Worst place ever. If I could I would give it no stars. First they make me wait an hour to even call me and correct their shifty data input to my chart.
