I went to the bottom app in jacksonville north carolina and I got Horrible customer service. There's a girl on there with pink hair and a pink hair clip and glasses who decides to show the entire needle of my arm for and then. She wanted things to rush faster and after I told her it's OK. I don't mind waiting. She turns the machine off such wiggling the f****** needle in my arm like that's a smart idea to do like I'm not in pain I. Said that makes like that hurting me and she just laughed continued and then no blood started coming out so she caught some guy over. He tried turning the machine on tried pumping the blood back into my arm at this point. I can feel the needle is not even in the vein feel it just sitting under my skin and you now can see a little bubble where my blood's at. which is not even inside of the vein which clearly hurts hurting me as I'm that hurt so he calls someone else over and has to try putting it in the other arm she's just incredibly rude the entire time. She did nothing but give short answers rolled eyes at me. It was just a horrible experience honestly and I definitely will not be coming back and the fact that i might now even get paid after I went through that. All they had to do was get someone who knew what they were doing. I said it was a comfortable in the 1st place. I have a horrible little blimp on my arm thats aching like crazy. I can't even move my freakin pinky or my ring finger at this moment. You litterally can see the swollen area. I can't even extend my arm. read more

Great Facility, But I Can Never Get In Contact With Anyone On The Phone!

Recently starting donating plasma and all the staff here are so fantastic! Everyone is so accommodating, the phlebotomists always are checking on me during and after donating, and are very quick and attentive to any issues. Everything was clearly explained for my first time in too! Only downside, which is not the facility's fault at all, is how busy it gets, so there can be a decent wait even if it's not your first time. Can't wait to keep donating! read more

Slow... The one word to describe everything... No matter the day or the time of day, it seems like there is only 3 people working in the back... Getting called back to donate but sitting and playing on my phone for almost an hour is crazy, but then after I finish donating, sitting there hooked up to the machine while it beeps for another 40 mins is crazy. Hire more people, or stop letting people up front sit there and talk with each other... I enjoy the staff when I come up there, you just need to hire more. Very clean facility but one thing bothered me and it should bother every patient/client. Giving blood/plasma can at times have an adverse effect. If you pass out, there is no AED on site which lets me know they do not care about their patients/clients safety. Maybe ill donate when they have proper equipment on site. You should consider it as well. read more

Went back here after not donating for over a year because of a busy schedule. During the physical I was asked about tattoos, i have a full back piece and a chest piece. The back piece was finished in 2009 and the chest piece finished in 2015 the nurse asked how many sessions it took I gave them an estimate because I honestly don't know exactly how many times I went. Because whet I told them today and the first time I donated there didn't match I was told I had to get a sterilization paper filled out by the tattoo artist one in Texas and one in Virginia . The artists at both places no longer tattoo there so I can get them to fill it out. I was told I could not donate for 1 year because they can't verify the dates of my tattoos that I got done 5 and 11 years ago. read more

I have just recently started donating plasma and this location was the closest. The center is located in a new building and everything looks new and fairly modern. I am always greeted in a welcoming manner by one of the ladies at the front desk. I have never had an issue with any of the employees, they have always been accommodating and helpful any time I have been there and that says a lot about them as people because there are times when the wait is extremely long and I am sure their stress level is longer. A couple issues I have run into are the computers, wait and the TVs. The check in screens that you must use when you first enter are very difficult to make a selection with your fingers. It works better if you have a pen, stylus or your keys to tap the on screen keys. All of them are equally as difficult to enter your info. The other issues is that the screen moves according to an automated recording of what is on the screen. If you are a faster reader, you have to wait until that screen has been fully dictated. The wait time from when I enter the building to when I make it into the plasma draw room has been from about 20 minutes to as long as an hour. Most times it has averaged about 45 minutes to get called up. Once I finally make it to my chair/machine, I have had varying wait times. On one of my last visits, I waited upwards of an hour before I got stuck with for the plasma draw. Basically, I waited 2 hours from when I got in the door to when I started to donate plasma. The plasma draw too another 45 to an hour a that ended up being roughly 3 hours to earn $25 that visit. I need to do a better job trying to avoid peak times. The final issue was that some of the TVs in the room where you donate plasma don't work or the TVs flicker. This may seem like a small thing but if you are waiting to draw plasma for an hour, a working TV is a decent attempt at distracting me from staring at the clock and wanting to walk out. As bad as the issues I have with this place may seem, it is not bad enough for me to switch donation centers and the employees are great. They do a great job keeping the room clean and moving as fast as they can to get the next patient/customer moving through the process. When I first started and the pay was decent ($50), I think I ignored some of the issues I mentioned. Now that I have been doing it long enough to only get $25-30 a session, the issues may eventually get me to stop coming with any real frequency. read more

Prior to Griffols buying out biomat, CDC COVID protocols were actually in place giving donors a sense of comfort in measures taken to maintain donor and staff safety. Griffols then bought out this location and while mask mandates are inforced, there is NO distancing with overcrowded waiting rooms sitting donors less than 2 feet apart. When asked about distancing measures was told "you dont have to be here". A medical facility is the LAST place distancing measures should be ignored. This is a clear CDC and community safety violation. read more

Almost every time I go there they have to adjust my needle several times. I do the proper steps to ensure that it'll be a smooth donation on my end. There is quite a few people that work there that couldn't put a string through a needle hole let alone a needle in a vein. The wait time is always long even when there's lots of space and sometimes I'm spending two hours there just to make a couple dollars.
