Was told I had to reschedule because sure it had been 12 hours since I'd last eaten. It hadn't. I had eaten a full meal at 3:30 am.l and was seen at 12:15 pm. How does this constitute 12 hours? And she was rude. The guy who checked me in, however, was very pleasant. Update: someone called me from there and I missed the call, so I called back. They left me on hold and never got to me. Not a good impression.

The nurse had me scan in for WHATEVER she was doing without informing me what I was for and that I was agreeing to something important!!! So now I have a "Diagnosis" I don't actually have and have to prove I don't have it!! WTF "Can't do anything since it's entered in the system" " you have to get a form filled out by a specialist" WTF, AND I wasn't even given the form to take to a doctors, no doubt because it's BS! Not to mention that I had a 9AM appt and didn't start the process till 9:30 at 10:30 someone got sick and I patiently waited. I sat there with all my meds on the table for everyone to see because the door was left wide open!!! Clearly did not respect my privacy either. BIG MISTAKE STAYING. Got out at 12 would not have been able to donate even if I could. Rude and inconsiderate of my valuable time. Might take this to corporate and beyond because they had me consent (fingerprint) to things without my knowledge!!!

Later she added that "the door was open," as if that somehow counted as communication. After I had already been prepped to donate, an employee loudly announced to the whole room that I couldn't donate until I saw a nurse, and I was left sitting there for about 10 minutes with everyone staring at me. No explanation. No courtesy. Then I was told I was "drunk." I do not drink alcohol at all. When I asked for any proof -- cameras or a breathalyzer -- I was told there was none. The manager later admitted she misunderstood something I said, but instead of apologizing or resolving the situation, I was still removed from the center. The way it was handled felt intentionally public and humiliating rather than professional. I have never been treated so disrespectfully in a medical setting. Corporate absolutely needs to investigate the conduct and training at this location.

I'm so glad I took the time to do it, and Red Cross was definitely the right choice for me. I recruited my sister and sister-in-law to go with me, since they had both mentioned they'd be interested. We took Adult and Pediatric CPR and First Aid. It was $110, and it took about 4 hours online, which you had to complete before going to the two hour evening class. I grumbled about how long the online portion took, but in the end, I realized I learned a lot from those simulations and I felt very prepared for the classroom portion. Our teacher, Vertina, was just the right mix of helpful and funny, and she really knew her stuff. This is one of those things you hope you'll never need to use, but it still provides a lot of peace of mind. If you do it, I definitely recommend doing it with friends.

Get your CPR certification on!…read more I'm required to have this certification for work, but who could hurt from knowing basic first aid and lifesaving skills? This is my 10th or so time being certified over the years (certifications last 2 years) and I never get tired of it. It's a lot like riding a bicycle, you may not do it all the time but when you never really forget. All the instructors I have ever met have been very knowledgeable and informative and kept the training easy, casual and comfortable. Hopefully you'll never need to use what you learn here, but in the event that you do, you can make a huge difference in the life of others.

You were better off recycling or selling ass. There is more than one " nurse" that is incompetent. They say they only prick you once but I was pricked twice.
