Placed an order through Grubhub around 10:30pm when we settled into our hotel. First off, the order took an hour, and they're only a couple miles away. Secondly, they messed up our order, and my veggie sandwich was horrible (soggy warm veggies with italian dressing). Got a sub, Cod & fries and cinnamon bread.. first gave us the completely wrong sub, the cod and fish tasted like absolutely nothing; It was drenched in oil and the crust was sliding right off of the fish. The fries were not it whatsoever, I think they were steak fries. The cinnamon bread they completely forgot as well. They just lost a potential reoccurring customer. let alone when I got there to order somebody was already bringing their pizza in and returning it for whatever reason, that should've been a sign right there for me. They were talking really fast. I don't know what was going on, but a lot of work needs to be done here, especially when there's so many great restaurants in Detroit. they need to take a break, reevaluate and try again because what's happening right now it's not working. UPDATE!! As promised Mike made up for the prior issue and we received a good hot pizza today. Therefore I changed my review to what I normally would have rated them. Next time you're in the neighborhood stop by and give them a try. Hey I normally would have given a good review. However, today I ordered a pizza drove 15-20 minutes to get it and got there and they claimed it was already picked up. I think they gave it away because I ordered at 9:30 they said 45 mins so I waited an extra 15 before picking it up since every place behind due to Covid19. They never said they were closing early, so when I got there at 10:15 they claimed it was picked up and that they were closed. I said how the guy told me 45 mins so how could you be closed by 10 if my pizza took 45 mins. I think they didn't think I was coming so sold it to whomever walked in. I was beyond pissed! It only took one time and we have been hooked ever since. The subs are delicious, huge and cheap. They really haven't gone up in price much since the 80's, which says a lot! Now I bring my six children and my husband here. We have a tremendous love for their pizzas. The pizzas are hot, fresh, and loaded with a million toppings! So we tried a square pizza with garlic crust, pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, and green peppers. It was piping hot when we picked it up. I love this place! I've been coming here since the early 70's and the quality has stayed high all during that time. First, like all good sub shops, they serve pizza. This means that there is a pizza oven to toast the buns and meats. Second, they add the veggies cold, rather than heating everything into mush in the microwave like many sub shops.
