Not a good place for picky people. I struggled to find the "easiest" thing on the menu to order with the fewest amount of subtractions. The food is thoughtful and complex, and unfortunately, that's just not for me. I can see why people enjoy it so much, though. Service was okay. Basically a teen at the register playing on her phone and a cook in the back. I wasn't really offered much of a greeting or an intro to the menu. It's a very limited menu as far as sandwiches are concerned (only six options.) I ordered The Superior minus kimchi with the spicy mayo on the side. I don't believe the menu mentions it, but the sandwich did come with a handful of fries. I took a seat in their cute dining area. It's decorated very nicely. It was a little chilly, though. I noticed a couple tables with trash on them that sat that way during my entire visit (all the while the cashier was on her phone.) Definitely room for improvement there. My sandwich was good; a little sweet for my liking. What I disliked was that there were tiny onions grilled with the steak, and those onions are not on the menu. I'd already wasted my lunch hour finding this spot, figuring out what to order and waiting for my food so I didn't bother saying anything or asking for a re-do. I just ate a few pieces of the steak and packed the rest up for my husband to have as leftovers. The quality of the steak was great and the fries were excellent. Such delicious food! I got the kimchi smash burger and my grandma got the chipotle chicken melt. Both were very tasty. The drinks were delicious as well. I got the strawberry latte. This is first time I've seen or tasted a strawberry latte... it's pretty interesting. My grandma got the strawberry mango fusion refresher which was really good. No issues with service. The food came out in a timely manner and our server was polite. It's also cute and simply decorated. Nice place to come to. read more

Came here for lunch with my husband and son, Iv had their food before at kidcadia and always been satisfied but I wanted to check out their cafe this time and it is so cute. I loved their decor and how on coastal point theme it is. The service was great and the boy at the register who helped us was so sweet and kind. The Ontario sandwich is quite possibly the best sandwich I've ever had (in recent memory)! I am so glad I accidentally wandered into this spot. I was visiting the Arab American National Museum down the street and wanted to grab a quick bite and I didn't want McDonald's or Burger King. I thought...hmm a sandwich shop. Let's just grab a quick bite. I didn't know what to order so I ordered the Ontario and an iced caramel latte. Once the sandwich came out I thought," Hmm looks good." Then I took a single bite and OMG. The toasted crunch, the chipotle sauce, the perfectly sou vided chicken breast, and melted cheese...it was just an explosion of favor! The Ontario sandwich is quite possibly the best sandwich I've ever had. Not only is it delicious and bursting with flavor, but the bread is always so perfectly grilled it could star on a magazine cover. And the chicken, thanks to sous vide cooking, is perfectly tender every single time. The fries are always expertly prepared too - golden and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I also had the fortune of trying the pineapple oasis smoothie during Dearborn Restaurant Week and it was so tasty that now I'll order it every time, and I almost never order drinks anywhere, especially smoothies, so that's saying something. read more

The place is not bad. However, nothing special as well. First, the very good details. The decor of this place is beautiful. It's really spacious and bright. I love it. The barista was extremely kind as well. The kiosks come in handy. Those were all good. Now for the improvement details. The place could use just a little more work on their coffee. They said they sourced the coffee from Great Lakes which is ok. I ordered a mocha latte but I was not pleased to get it barely warm. They really need to steam their lattes at higher temperatures. I know I can just ask them to do so but if that is their default then that is a pretty cold latte. It simply tasted milky and warm. Not at all strong of the chocolate or espresso coffee taste. So I hope they can improve that because if I need my coffee hit I expect a latte to do that. It was as if I drank a lukewarm hot chocolate. Can I talk about how much I love this place? This was our first stop after arriving in the area and checking into our hotel. The inside is beautifully decorated and I love that there are multiple options for ordering. They have a kiosk, or you can scan a barcode, or you can order at the counter. The menu was so enticing that it took our group a while to make a decision. We were all interested in the Isle Royale (salmon sandwich), so decided to split it as an appetizer. It was really good! I think a bit more slaw would have made it even more amazing. Among the table, we also had The Superior, The Mackinac, The Huron, and The Michigan (salad). We tasted each other's food and everything was great and flavorful! The sweet potato fries were the best and I'm typically not a fan. Pine Coast Cafe also has an extensive coffee selection. I had the mocha iced latte and two other guests had the iced chai latte. They were good, but super light. We enjoyed them. However, if you like a bit more of a strong coffee flavor on your lattes, this may not hit the mark. Other than that, the staff were super nice, helpful and awesome! Absolutely loved this corner cafe, it's immaculate. Very convenient location right next door to Kidcadia. The best part is that we were able to cater right from inside Kidcadia's Cafe. The kids were busy having fun and they delivered the food right to us. First, The Huron Sandwich was everything. I enjoyed the explosion of flavors from the pesto. Filled with chicken breast and artichoke. Fries and drink are included as a side. For the kids, I ordered: Mozzarella sticks (fries included), Mac & Cheese Bowl, 2 orders of 3 PCs. Chicken tenders. Also more fries on the side as I didn't expect fries to be included with their orders but the seasoning on the fries was so good we ended up finishing everything because it was so delicious. What a cute place! Tried this new cafe for the first time with a friend. It's very clean and nice inside. We got the Ontario with tomato basil soup. The sandwich was a good size and the bread was amazing. Perfect for dipping into the soup. The flavors were excellent. Soup was delicious.
