Excellent service and good food! Many different types of sandwiches to choose from. The wait wasn't long either.

Been wanting to try this place out for a while. Overheard this place will be closed for 4 weeks or so starting next week. Grabbed some lunch for my team: Chicken bacon ranch no lettuce or tomato, a large Lebanese salad (no pita), Turkey Reuben sandwich, Chicken melt, Bronx and a can of Mountain Dew and one can of Coke. Oh my. Their Chicken melt menu that someone posted on here changed from what someone else had posted a while back. Their current chicken melt is essentially a chicken Philly. It wasn't what my team member wanted, had to give it to someone else, since it had mushrooms in it. The Lebanese salad was good, the large is a good size. Loaded with tomatoes and cukes. Ended up with bits of pita at the bottom of my salad, had to pick them out. :/ The chicken bacon ranch was nicely packed with meat in a sub bun. The Bronx was good as well. The turkey Rueben was okay. Light on the kraut and sauce. The turkey meat was deli slices though. The bread was maybe separately toasted. It was pan or cook top cooked. The rye was a bit too hard as I tried to get a bite in. I ended up having to gut it and eat the inside goods separately. Oven roasted turkey would have been fantastic, more kraut or add slaw too. Salad was good and fresh. The sandwiches look picture worthy. read more

I was looking for some good old turkey sandwich. This place had exactly what I was craving. Initially I thought for basic sandwich the price might be high until I got my food. They pack the sandwich with a lot of meat, and it was all very flavourful. The staff was very friendly. they let us try different types of meat. It is a nice cozy place. Excellent food and friendly staff! Met a friend for lunch, and we had a sandwich and a mixed meat shawarma, and split a small order of falafel. The shawarma was enhanced by very flavorful meat (as opposed to bland meat mixed with heavy sauce) which was also very tender. We would eat here again read more

Since my first review, I've been back a couple of times and need to update with some of the other amazing food I've had. Twice I've tried the Henry Ford (roast beef, onion rings, Swiss cheese and steak sauce on an onion roll served hot) and it's soooo good. The beef is like real made at home roast beef that tastes like it's been drenched in au jus. The sandwich is piled high - maybe a little too high - because I can't get through more than half of one, so this is a good one to split with someone. This is a very flavorful and yummy sandwich - just try it! plus it's only $7.99, which seems like a real bargain for quality this great. I also have to recommend the onion rings - they come out perfect every time - fried to a golden crisp. And you can bite them without having the whole onion fall out of the batter ring, so that's a very good sign in my opinion of a great onion ring. The staff is always super polite and efficient here. They seem proud of their products, as they should be. read more

Stopped by to give it a try based on yelp reviews of restaurants in the area. I decided to go with a Fattoush salad with Shawarma chicken on top. On the plus side the portion was very generous. Plenty of lettuce and a good portion of chicken. On the downside, the chicken was over cooked and tough. I finished all the lettuce salad but did not finish the chicken. As for the dressing, it was mildly seasoned. The inside was neat and clean. The woman who took my order was super friendly. So far now I'll give this a three star review. I'd like to try one of the sandwiches because they looked good. read more

I had the loaded chicken fries, no cheese, way too much cole slaw, the chicken was breaded and fried I thought that it would be grilled chicken, didn't see any ranch dressing like they say would be on it because the cole slaw sucked it right up. I'm updating my review to state ownership of this business has changed. The lunch meat is no longer high quality, which is the main thing that set NY Deli apart from the local competition. Additionally, the side dishes are not the same as the fresh-made ones they had previously. They're now a disappointment. I would no longer suggest this restaurant to my fellow Yelpers. read more

Didn't think I would be rating a place based on a salad entree but I can definitely taste the personality and care put into their food just by the fattoush salad. I quickly stopped by here for lunch, and since I'm on my "mostly plant based" diet, I ordered the large fattoush salad. It was $9 including tax. A little steep, but they fill up a large square to-go container (see photo), and they use their own house made dressing. The salad is richly dressed, and with every bite, you can taste the tartness of the dressing, freshness of the greens from the crunch, and sweetness of the white onions (they were surprisingly very sweet, which complimented the dressing well). It's definitely a burst of flavor in your mouth, especially the dressing. Of course, you have the yummy fried pita chips on top! Before taking the rest of my salad to go, I ordered falafel to go to try. 6 pcs for appx $4.50, plus garlic sauce included! Garlic sauce was not too garlicky so you don't have to worry about garlic breath when you go back to work. Each falafel piece is big, fluffy and grounded up nicely on the inside with a nice crisp on outside. read more

As a general rule, you should never eat at a place that bears the name of your hometown or purports to serve food in your hometown style while outside of your hometown. This place was no exception. First of all, what kind of deli doesn't serve breakfast? If they'd ever been to the New York metro area, they'd know that delis serves BREAKFAST and lunch. Anyway, that's where the disappointment started. Since there was no breakfast & no coffee - I really needed coffee- I ordered my go to - a corned beef sandwich with coleslaw. It was served on an onion roll instead of rye bread. That was my second disappointment. There was a rye bread option which I'd overlooked and when I asked for a slice, they didn't charge me for it. They totally could've been petty and charged me so I appreciated that. The sandwich itself was good, not great but that's proven because I really wanted a coffee & some eggs. Also note to the Arabs in Dearborn : every restaurant does not need to serve Mediterranean food. I shouldn't have went there after seeing NY in the name. I probably won't go back but not because the food was bad nor the service. It's just not for me. read more

5 Stars for the quality of the food. The corned beef is cooked here and sliced, other stuff sliced on site as well. Huge sandwiches and good portion of side items. One complaint, they don't have a soda machine. So you buy by the bottle , even if you want water you buy a bottle. We got around this by now asking for a CUP OF ICE WATER. Didn't figure it out until a few visits in. I've had the Albacore tuna melt, I've had the NY club, iv has the Bronx, the Brooklyn,.... we've eaten here quite a bit. I enjoy their corned beef sandwiches (there are a few) and the Club. This place is halal so no Ham. About $22-25 dollars for lunch for us too. Just a sandwich a piece and share a aide of fries, unless I want their Broccoli soup (which is great). They use to have cold salads on display, like broccoli salad, macaroni and potato salad etc. They still show on menu, but not in the cold cooler anymore. I enjoyed the potato salad tho. Always been impressed with the size and quality of the sandwich. Usually visit 1-2 times a month. read more

Found it on Yelp. Small hole in the wall place with fast service, friendly people and good variety of choices with the option of customizing your own sandwich. Fresh and warm meat on good rye bread. Not a very obvious location so keep an eye out for it. My wish list: spicy pickles. read more

The place is convenient, right off Michigan Ave across from the performing arts and rec building. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I had The Bronx sandwich, cajan fries, and drink. The meal was about 15 dollars, which in my opinion was overpriced. The sandwich was tasty. It was on a bun and layered with different sliced meat. The flavor from the cheese and mayo were well done. I was waiting for this place to open up. I would always drive passed it on my way to school and now it's finally open! I checked Yelp to see if there were any reviews or pictures and there was! The NY CLUB really caught my eye and made me really hungry! The place is remodeled beautifully and it's very clean. I decided to get the Ny club, the rueben and the customized turkey sandwich and sampled these among 4 people. Everyone agreed that they were delicious! They load your sandwich up with meat so the price is well worth it. The sandwiches are very filling and the meats were all fresh. I also ordered a side of potato salad which was also delicious and very fresh. Their pickles are house made and they are delicious! The customer service was great. The girls in the front were very welcoming and helpful. They gave me recommendations on what to get and what salad was the best. The food came out quick and was hot and delicious. No soggy bread but you will get messy, so don't forget the napkins! I'll definitely be back soon. read more

Tried it out for the first time and it was amazing. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a friendly staff. One man seen me looking at the menu and immediately asked if it was my first time here. To which I replied yes. He then recommended the Manhattan or the New York club. Both of those looked promising but I went ahead with the Manhattan. And what a choice that was. The sandwich was much larger than I expected and it was stacked with meat! I'll leave the details to the picture. For $8 I was more than satisfied. Half way through the meal the same man approached me and asked how it was, throwing my name in the sentence to add a personal touch. To which I replied, "It was amazing!" Oh dear sweet Jesus! I'm finding it hard to come up with adequate words. This place is... Incredible... Fantastic... Dare I say LEGEN (wait for it) DARY. The tuna salad, potato salad, pasta salad and coleslaw are all made fresh daily and are some of the best I've had. The sandwiches are STACKED with meat that's well seasoned and high quality. The Liberty is a typical Reuben on paper, but the flavor is anything but. Their corned beef is super lean without sacrificing any moisture, and is also not over salted. Top that with fresh slaw (which has cranberries... very nice touch!) and dressing, and you've got a killer sandwich. The club is equally delicious although I could leave off the beef bacon (there's really no appropriate substitute for pork bacon). Prices are more than fair, and every employee we met was welcoming and happy to help. I can see this place becoming a long-living Dearborn staple. read more

I'm in Denver & wanted to send my daughter in Allen Park a surprise order - she's expecting a baby tomorrow and needed a lift-me-Up!! So I just picked a variety of sandwiches, burgers, fries & soups. EVERYTHING was a success!!! & reasonably priced My daughter said the size & taste of all items was excellent!!! The driver was EXCELLENT. When you walk in it's very clean and nice, i got the NY club it was filled with meat and Bacon, the bacon was beet not the Turkey bacon, beef has more fat and cooks faster, that's why I was chewing chewing it was the fat on it, overall it was a good sandwich and a big one, for the New York club, Cajun fries and a can of pop for $12 , I think it was Overpriced, Very cheap on the Cajun!!!
