When I take out the pineapple sherbet from the açaí energizer and replace it with real pineapple they only charge $0.10 (they credit you $0.50 for removing the included sherbet). This Robeks doesn't credit you for any removals. I remove the sherbet and I add 4 scoops of pineapple and also reduce the fro yo by 2 scoops. (Which, Culver and Glendale also credit me for). Making my drink the way I like it here adds $7 to the already $13 drink. I drink this everyday sometimes even two or three a day. When you drink Robeks the way I do, that seven dollars will add up really quick! I'll also share this; For two or three years, I was this Robeks best customer. While still being Culver City's best customer spending $10,000 in one year on açaí energizers and ginger shots. I recently started coming back here again, but I completely stopped for more than one year because I ordered an item no longer on the menu but still in the system and I was charged $30 and was told it had to be made as a build your own smoothie. I was insulted because Glendale charged me 11 bucks for it. The employee guaranteed me that the owner Kevin would not charge me any less than that. In other words, the employee spoke for the owner costing him a customer. Ever since then I've been going to Glendale for my Pro Arobek, everyday. Now I'm Glendales number one customer. This is a big deal cause I live in downtown and having to go to Culver City to get my açaí energizer everyday is catching up to me. This Robeks didn't always charge $1.75per scoop of fruit. This is why im giving them a two star rating. For the greed. There is two or three employees that make my drink good here so I don't completely hate the place. Parking is terrible. The lot next-door charges $10 even if you're only parking for three minutes. That or gamble with getting a ticket.. $90 was the last one I got. And I also had a homeless drug addict break my side mirror on my GLE 63S. Which is why even before the price hike I still chose to go to Culver City, more than not. If something gets done about this, meaning, you charge the same thing as all the other Robeks I will replace this review and rating with a more positive one. Hope this is taken into consideration! I'm sure the rent in Culver City and Glendale is more expensive than this location, so that can't be the reason for the almost three time the price for a small scoop of fruit. For now going to this Robeks would just be last resort. At $20 per drink I'd be better off getting the Erewhon experience. But I'm a Robeks guy, ive been for almost 30 years. Literally addicted and probably going to die from the sugar intake,smh. In other words, I love Robeks just don't love what the owner here is doing with his pricing.
