May 2026: Sunday Afternoon Visit It was hot! After a nice stretch of 70-degree weather, it suddenly jumped to 85, and my friend and I were definitely in the mood for something cold. We checked out two other smoothie/dessert spots nearby, but one had shut down and the other was closed, so we ended up spotting this place across the street and decided to give it a try. There were so many options, it was honestly a bit overwhelming. I had my eye on the mango sticky rice ice cream, but unfortunately it was sold out. The staff mentioned that everything is made in-house, so it tends to go quickly. They do offer samples, which was a nice touch--I tried the strawberry, and it was super fragrant and really enjoyable. They also had some unique, Mexican-inspired flavors, which was cool to see. I ended up going for a crepe with a scoop of strawberry ice cream, thinking it would pair well with the Nutella and fruit inside. The ice cream was great, but the crepe itself didn't really stand out--it wasn't very crispy, so I'd probably skip that next time. That said, their ice cream selection alone is worth coming back for, and I'm sure there's a flavor for everyone. They also have a nice seating area to hang out in, and the bathroom was clean, which is always a plus. read more

I enjoyed receiving my items and it will be satisfying my sweet tooth for a while. From using my app to messaging my delivery people, and from placing the orders, everything went smoothly and efficiently. I really appreciate the time they took to write my name on the bag with a nice font and some happy faces. It made me smile and it made my night. I was feeling all VIP. Perhaps some training videos on how to treat customers are very much needed at this location. Went in for something simple yet turned out complicated. Mangoniada with extra scoop on top. I was told that the Mangonada is server certain way, which I understand. I was requesting an extra scoop on top that I was gonna pay for which I did end up paying because thankfully there was a kind employee that understood what I was trying to do( buy more) !!! And it's a shame that their demeanor changed once I started speaking English, which is by the way ridiculous!!! Spanish, Arabic , Tagalog, French, $$$, etc etc should all be treated equally. Me and my friend got Tostilocos, hot Cheetos with cheese, chamoy peach rings, and a fruity pebbles ice cream bar. The hot Cheetos with cheese brought back feelings of nostalgia bc I used to eat one every day during break in middle sKOO. BUT DAMNNN DID IT GIVE ME REALLY BAD GAS. I'm getting too old to eat this now LOL. My friend did not enjoy the Tostilocos and she picked out all the pork rinds which was about half the container. The paleta was good but I made the mistake of letting it melt a little bit so the fruity pebble pieces were all soggy but still good nonetheless. The ambiance, food and services are incredible!! Camila did a phenomenal job. She was so patient and knowledgeable. She definitely made an impression on me. It was so busy and she did everything with a smile. This my favorite location. It's clean, the parking is spacious, the workers are nice and professional. This has been our go to for nachos. Just your simple nachos. The cheese has a little kick, but it's good. I also tried their cappuccino paleta which was not my favorite at all. I was expecting just coffee, but they had stuffed it with caramel. I sadly ended up throwing it away. The caramel was overpowering and I barely tasted any coffee. Was in the area looking for a sweet treat and La Michoacana popped up. It's like an ice cream on steroids. Literally all the sweet and savory treats you can imagine on a truck, right here for your choosing. Plus they are open until midnight. No wonder it was busy! Not a fan of the impossibly bright colored ice cream flavors and wasn't happy about paying $6 for a single scoop in a cup. I regret not grabbing a paleta instead. There were some maintenance issues like a watery crack in the ground that was covered only by a yellow caution stand. Only one of the women working were friendly. Luckily, she's the person who helped us. She was patient while handing out samples and smiled when she rang us up. I heard a complaint about the other woman who supposedly had a poor attitude. I ordered through door dash here and they got my order wrong. Instead instead of 2 Passionfruit agua fresca, I was given 2 Horchata. They also did not include straws. The horchata was not good at all. It had too much cinnamon and tasted a bit spicy. I also ordered an acai bowl. It had a hint of peanut butter, which was not in the description of this item. The strawberry and mango pieces it came with were frozen. I also got 2 esquites, which was the only good item from my order. It had lots of cheese, melted butter and chili powder. This place offers snacks you'll never find anywhere besides an ice cream truck in East LA. That doesn't mean it's all good. The Mangoñada is great while the Manzana loco is just an apple smothered in stuff. But what really tics me off is entitled business owners. There were several people waiting in line while the owners and staff were talking pictures. Every business needs to advertise but it shouldn't be done on customer's time. Besides being super clean, smelling clean, so many flavors of ice cream - what brought me in was the BIONICO!! I haven't had good bionico since 2012! Clean store with a massive menu and made fresh in house desserts and snacks. Everything is delicious and affordable, but sometimes the line gets very backed up and service is slow since anything not in the display cases are made to order. Horrible and unhygienic owner. His staff was struggling to catch up on orders. He didn't bother to help his staff. Rather, he went behind the counter and made a snack for his daughter. This place is also unhygienic. The owner's daughter went behind the counter, stuck her hand in a container that had ingredients (which were being served to customers) and proceeded to eat it. She also went behind the counter one more time to grab a popsicle, which are also being served to customers. I did not see her wash hands and her father/ the owner did not tell her anything. In another instance, the owner's wife went behind the counter and asked one of the workers (who was in the midst of a late Saturday night rush) to top off her Tostiloco. The workers are amazing and kept their calm when when there was a high volume of customers and zero help from the owner. Update: Maria -- I don't need you to address this to your team, it's the owner that's the issue at the hand. Furthermore, I politely reject the invitation. I feel uncomfortable eating the food here. Having previously worked in the food service industry I am very disappointed by the unhygienic and substantially unmindful behavior of the owner. It's a shame because the food here is actually really good and the staff is amazing. However, returning as a patron would mean supporting the same owner that's responsible for the aforementioned actions that were displayed last night.
