Massive al pastor tacos, only $2 each
    Samantha O.

I don't know why the page says this location has closed, because it's NOT. In fact, it's always popping when I'm there or passing by. It's definitely a hole in the wall-- unassuming and low key as anything, and you really wouldn't have guessed that it served amazing Mexican fare at crazy cheap prices from the looks of it. The first time I came here, another patron asked if I had been before, and when I said no, he told me everything was delicious. True enough, I got three al pastor tacos and it was amazing. It was a little greasy and on the salty side, but super flavorful and easily some of the best al pastor I have had in a while. Each taco is massive but it's only $2, and burritos are only $6. Even though Mexican food is generally affordable, I haven't seen such good prices for such a generous portion serving. Even though the "panaderia" part of this place is marketed more heavily (I mean, it's in the name), they actually do a lot better on the savory front. Most of the patrons I have seen there get the savory food, not the pastries.

I was so hungry and still had to wait 2 hours before my Kagaya dinner. Ooooo pan dulce!! Got pan dulce & melon aqua fresca for $4. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/panaderia-guerrero-los-angeles?select=w_HNFHWPiTgx7rcIoQ1EzA#w_HNFHWPiTgx7rcIoQ1EzA The aqua fresca is tasteless and I didn't like my pan dulce at all. I didn't see anyone else buying anything from the bakery but some people got food from the restaurant. Maybe the restaurant itself is good. 2 stars!! Panaderia Guerrero's pan dulce is not yummylicious!!

Once I stepped in and saw the mole, chilaquiles, and costillas en salsa roja, I knew i had to try some.

Perfect double chip chocolate chip cookie!…read more I get why these cookies are so hyped up- perfectly gooey in the middle, not all the way fully baked in the middle, the chocolate chips were melty - I know people do "cheese pulls" but you can honestly do "chocolate pulls" with these cookies. Excited to try my rocky road cookie tonight.

It's relatively busy but the line moved swiftly. The Larchmont store was pretty lively with the crowded and colorful wall deco! It's pretty fun to see that they came up with more seasonal items lately and most of them nailed it well when they came to cookies. Previously the lemon one and the most recent was the Raspberry Pistachio which I was impressed by as I just fancied sweet and refreshing combo of white chocolate and raspberry. The pistachio added more texture to it for sure. Same as any Levain cookies, best enjoyed warm and fresh out of oven. The Cookie Milk Latte was actually the main reason bringing me here, yet I was bit let down by it as I was expecting more malty cookie flavor in the drink. I felt it tasted not much different to regular cream top latte with some cookie crumbles in it.

Delicious drinks and creative pastries!…read more Tried Fondry LA and the matcha vanilla pistachio drink was definitely the highlight--so delicious and perfectly sweet without needing any sweetness adjustment. Easily my favorite thing I tried! The tofu cream croissant toast was airy and light, with a creamy topping that wasn't overly sweet. The mushroom béchamel was savory and good. I only got it because my brother suggested it. Normally I would not seek mushroom pastries even though I like mushrooms. The yuzu meringue croiffin was good, but I am not used to tart flavors in croissant/pastry combination. The cafe is very tiny, with only one table for seating, so it's more of a grab-and-go spot. There are seats outside. I also wanted to try the black sesame pastry, but didn't see it available when I visited. I'd definitely go back to try it. The drink was the standout for me!

The key is to go on a weekday to avoid the line, as the weekend can definitely get busy. This last time I finally got to try the tofu cream topped croissant, which was ~to die for~. It was a little bit savory with the miso but still (not too) sweet. This felt super original and I would definitely recommend. I also tried the pistachio croissant and asparagus danish this time round and both were extremely good as well. I would have no qualms with re-ordering either. The only note is the pistachio cream is pretty runny, so it's hard to cut and share, as the cream just oozes out. The workers there are super friendly and kind. The drinks are also very good if you're looking to get a little extra treat as well.

They're also very on-trend, whenever a Korean dessert goes viral, they usually have it here. Recently, they even started selling butter tteok, and I heard it was one of the first places to have it in K-town. I highly recommend the salted bread. Honestly, I think it's even better than the famous spot everyone talks about. My favorite is the corn cheese, it's especially delicious when it's warm. I also tried the Korean chamoe (melon) smoothie, and it was very refreshing. It tasted like they used real melon, since there was a slight natural tanginess that made it even better. There is free parking, though the lot is a bit small. They also have both indoor and outdoor seating, but the seating area is somewhat limited too

The corn latte was okay. The corn flavor wasn't very pronounced. The yuzu smoothie was pretty good. The black sesame bun was very good, but the cream filling was just cream. We were hopping for black sesame cream filling. And the egg salad sandwich were rather disappointing. Proportions were a bit off and the tastes were rather muted.
