So far Ohio has been a wonderful experience for my family. Great food, great atmosphere, and so many things to do with the family. Birch was on my list, and had been recommended by a few folks that I work with. Awesome vibe inside, very clean, and the service was prompt. Pat was our server, and was very nice, very professional, and was quick to help us out. I'm a huge backyard simple burger type of guy, and this is exactly what I was looking for. Burger was very delicious, cooked just right. Would be nice if the burger was served with fries, instead of having to order separately, but still a damn good burger. Wings were everything you want them to be, sauced up, with extra in the basket to spare, plump, not over cooked at all. Make sure to get some extra napkins, they are very much worth the commotion I've heard. The only thing I could say that Birch could work on was the small size/amount of pretzel bites you get for $8. Pretty steep. All in all, very good food here, no question. Can't say enough about the burger, me and the family will be back in the future.

Cute spot, stopped in on our way down to a wedding. Service was friendly, lots of TVs to watch. I had the cod , giant piece of fish and amazing crunchy batter with homemade tartar sauce . The fries were hand cut, overall nice experience.

A+ food and service. Good beer also. Bartender recommended a good beer as I am from out of town. Very friendly staff.

Chicken & Waffle with maple syrup and whipped cream

An unlikely gathering spot for a few nearly-octogenarians to meet up, but the location was right and the reviews were good. The reviews were warranted. We were able to occupy a high top table for two hours and received service that was attentive, cheerful, and not rushing us even though we weren't drinking or ordering much. We had chicken && waffles (out-of-this-world delish), and a bacon cheeseburger (thick, juicy, cooked perfectly evenly throughout) with fries sprinkled with sea salt (the first thing to be eaten since they were good & hot). Ambiance was nice, too. Light birch wood covering ceilings about 12 feet high, well-lit, comfortable, clean. Business was starting to pick up when we left around 6:30 on a Monday night, but it was a wonderful place for a light dinner early on. Highly recommend to anyone.

Our first trip here was last week and I had this amazing West Virginia slaw dog that I now can't get enough of. It was delicious! Just went back again last night for the 2nd time. The bartenders were awesome and talkative. It's got a nice patio out back. It's my new favorite place to go for some food and a few beers!

Wow! Birch Tavern has made some upgrades inside since the last time I stopped in. I previously would have considered it a great hole in the wall tavern. Now it is bright, clean, bustling with patrons, and all around a great neighborhood bar! Do you know what every great neighborhood bar needs, an absolutely amazing bartender....and Birch Tavern has that too. Her name is Kim and she is a big part of what makes Birch Tavern great! We parked out behind the bar, and we came in through the back entrance. The parking lot was packed, so we weren't sure we would find a seat. Kim spotted us coming in and she quickly greeted us with a friendly hello, and then she immediately pointed out where there were two seats that we could slide into. That kind of greeting, and kindness is so rare now a days. She quickly made her way over to us with two menus and then proceeded to have our beers out to us in no time. Let me say this again, the bar was packed. By the time we left, we were convinced, Kim was only one of two working the entire place, other than those cooking in the kitchen and delivering food. Kim was able to keep all the patrons drinks full. She knew what we were going to ask for before we asked for it. She is amazing and she made our visit so enjoyable. Birch Tavern has good bar food. If you get the pretzel bites, we highly suggest them with the honey mustard. Our dinners came out hot. We didn't have to wait long for the food. I enjoyed my grilled chicken sandwich and fries. My husband thought the italian sub was ok, not the best, but totally edible. We were so happy with our visit, we will definitely be back again. Hopefully Kim will be there to help us out. If you are in Groveport and you are hungry or thirsty, stop in to Birch Tavern. Don't forget there is parking in the back.

Oil needs changed. Karaoke fun. There are classier places and better food nearby. A drunk man was in front of me in line at bar they gave him another beer . And he fell right in front of me and all most pull me down. Potato kegs station.dark oil in old .

This Waffle House is just down the street and around the corner from our house. If we're standing…read moreon the front porch and the wind is blowing right, you can smell the eggs and hash browns cooking! Better than that, they're open 24/7. We 're often done working at late night hours. This is our favorite place to stop before heading home. Well, let's face it, there's nothing else open. Inside is a counter that seats around five people along with maybe eight booths. Depending on the time of day or night, there's at least one cook and one or two servers. The menu is breakfast on one side, lunch on the other. Order from either. It's all available all the time. Don't forget to Google the secret menu for some additional good options. You'll feel like a real old school WH customer. This place has the best hashbrowns, and be sure to have them smothered, covered, chunked, diced, peppered, capped, and topped! Add on a waffle, eggs, and a fresh cup of coffee. You're all set! You can play some tunes on the jukebox while you're watching your food be cooked. It's prepared to order and usually ready fast. Great way to start the day or end it!

I really enjoyed the style of this diner, such a throwback to old school clientele, and had such a nostalgic feel to it. I remember my dad taking my brother and I to spots like this in Oklahoma growing up, and thought it was just right to take my son here and not just enjoy some quality time with my son, but to enjoy some breakfast. Now we didn't order anything fancy, honestly, I wasn't really hungry, so I ordered the Avocado toast, and my son had the oatmeal bowl. To be honest, I really like how simple this food was, but in all truth, how really delicious it was too. The eggs were cooked just how I like them, the fresh taste of the avocado was on point. My son enjoyed his oatmeal and brown sugar. The young man waiting our table (Logan), was a good kid, quick to take our order, quick on the coffee, and extremely polite. No doubt the manager knows, that kid is a keeper. The establishment was very clean, and just had a clean shine to it. Best part was just enjoying time with my son, and showing him how important that family time really is. Will we come back, no question we will.

The hostess asked what we wanted to drink before we could even sit down and then proceeded to come back after what felt like 60 seconds to take our order which made my teenager anxious. We ordered a pancake in addition to the omelet and both were mediocre and nothing memorable. The omelet toppings did taste fresh but there was an overwhelming amount of american cheese inside. I don't think I would return in the future.

Food is good. Never have a bad meal just sometimes doesn't sit well with me. We frequent here so you know it's a good time. Parking is mainly street around the corner. Town in small with local shops. Then we waited for 20 minutes. We didn't even get menus. Two tables were seated after us and were already ordering when we decided to give up and try another place. I don't like assuming people are prejudiced. I want to believe our server just happened to overlook the one table of brown people because they're a teenage girl going through a hard time. So that's what I choose to believe. I just hope the place shapes up, because someone else might not have taken it as well as we did. On the bright side, the staff seemed friendly (when we left, two servers near the entrance told us to have a nice day) and the dishes at the tables around us looked really good. I hope to come back and successfully try that chicken noodle soup someday
