There is construction in the area (7/15/2026) as you can see, but there is plenty of parking behind the restaurant and it is easy to get in and out of and look at that beautiful, historic building! I ordered my entree and side separately and didn't take pictures, but, of course I want to go back and try many more items. It is a family friendly atmosphere and the staff greeted me immediately when I walked in. I sat at a table and the bartender and waitress both took great care of me. Their hospitality was outstanding! I had a delicious chili cheese hot dog on a toasted bun and then ordered the house made kettle chips. I have never had potatoes cut fresh and fried on the spot. They were almost too hot to eat (almost) and the middle of the larger chips was slightly al dente so I knew they were actually cut and fried and not just heated up. I still want to try the spicy pickle fries, the potato skins, the hamburger, some of the sandwiches, and more!

While driving up, I did not know what to expect, but there was plenty of parking. The restaurant feels like a spot where I could relax and have some of my favorite meals. At first, I stood in what appeared to be the only long line at the whole event because I was hoping to try their wings. Unfortunately, they were sold out by the time I got there, so I moved on and tried three other locations while searching for that real Fourth of July backyard BBQ flavor. I was not successful. As I was heading toward my fifth stop, the grill master, Boston, called me over and told me I needed to get back in that long line because I was about to miss out on something good. I reluctantly followed through, and I am glad I did. The meat had flavor, tenderness, and that true BBQ taste I had been looking for. Their Carolina Gold BBQ sauce was especially tasty and stood out the most. The other sauce was more average, but the overall plate was still good. Off The Bone BBQ easily made my top two BBQ spots from the event. Between the tenderness, flavor, and confidence of the grill master, this was a spot worth waiting for. Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars

The ribs were OK. Tender and had some smoke flavor and they had a red sauce that I think they said was an Alabama sauce that was a little sweet but did not have the tangy flavor that I was told about.
