    Pad Thai

The Pad Thai was just not desirable at all. It was like a pickled microwave soup mess. It was $2 extra to make it authentic with rice noodles which I found off putting. Perhaps not the type of cuisine forte at this establishment. But, pad thai is my favorite food so I had to try it. I felt obligated to eat it since the place was so pricey. The tropical smoothie was great though. My partner had the farmers salad and it was just okay. Overall, overpriced and might need some revamping to the items to make them worth the trip. The employees were nice and friendly.

So this is the first spot I brought my wife to, finally after getting settled our new home state. What an introduction to good food, friendly service, very nice atmosphere of the downtown Canal Winchester area. We took a nice stroll of the area, and couldn't ask for more of a pleasant area to have a nice lunch. Immediately the service was very friendly, the establishment was very clean, the vibe was hip. We liked it right off the bat. My wife is a bison fan, and this burger delivered, juicy, plump, bun was soft and warm, and you could tell the greens in the burger had to be local fresh. I had the spicy chicken sandwich, and will definitely order this again on our next visit. The filet of chicken was juicy, not over the top spicy, and the portion of food was spot on. We love the outside dining area this place has to offer to guests, especially just to enjoy lunch, relax, and watch the the area. We will definitely be coming back to visit.

Driving back to Columbus 6 of us stopped in after a girls trip to Hocking Hills. The space is so cute! The server and bartender were super friendly. Drinks were great, we ordered 3 Bloody Mary's, 1 Irish coffee, 1 mimosa and 1 espresso martini. The single suggestion on drinks is to please offer garnishes on the bloodys :) Breakfast food was excellent, table ordered the biscuits and gravy, hash, breakfast burrito and pancakes. Would make a nice space to study/work remote, dinner with friends and we're looking forward to warmer months when the cutest patio opens back up.. There's also a small apothecary selling local and healthy products. Highly recommend!

Stopped in for a quick work lunch and got this beautiful salad w/ salmon. Absolutely delicious, the high top tables are a little wobbly and the ambiance is a bit different with a vitamin store or something like that when you walk in and then to the right is the restaurant. Over solid spot and want to try it again soon

We just moved to the area and saw they had live music. The music was very good the service excellent and my food was great. We sat at the bar and had a drink then ordered sandwiches. I had the veggie burger with fries and my husband the Reuben with fries. I don't eat meat so can't speak as to the quality of his sandwich but he said it was good also remarking that the slices of meat were a bit too big. Our fries were crisp and hot. My Kentucky Mule was great. The selection of local brews is good and we will need return and try them. We learned the owner of the restaurant also owns a local brewery. Overall a great experience and we will definitely go back.

    First plate of traditional breakfast

If you're in a hurry this place isn't for you, very slow service. I ordered traditional breakfast, my original order came with a hair in the eggs, the toast was cold. They gave me a new plate of food and everything was nice and hot. The potatoes are on the salty spicy side but I enjoyed. I received a dollar discount for the hair. Not impressed.

Pretty darn good! I was in canal Winchester and my boss lives there so he decided to treat me to breakfast. The place looks small from the outside but it's actually quite roomy. I sat in the back and was a bit floored when I noticed my server wasn't wearing a mask. I look again and all of the staff is without a mask. So that's why they're getting 4 stars. Aside from that, the food was great! I had a 3 egg omelette with mushrooms and onion. Black coffee served in a tea pot is brilliant and cute. Service was great, server was great, food was great. If I'm back in town I would def stop in!

Excellent food. The hush puppies were different and had honey butter which made them even better. I will be back there again.

Then we waited for 20 minutes. We didn't even get menus. Two tables were seated after us and were already ordering when we decided to give up and try another place. I don't like assuming people are prejudiced. I want to believe our server just happened to overlook the one table of brown people because they're a teenage girl going through a hard time. So that's what I choose to believe. I just hope the place shapes up, because someone else might not have taken it as well as we did. On the bright side, the staff seemed friendly (when we left, two servers near the entrance told us to have a nice day) and the dishes at the tables around us looked really good. I hope to come back and successfully try that chicken noodle soup someday

Think black-and-white checkered floors, red/chrome chairs and counter stools, a soundtrack of '50s and '60s classics, and waitresses happily singing along while they work. The atmosphere feels welcoming, lived-in, and full of personality. The food is straightforward, affordable, and exactly what you'd hope for from a classic American breakfast. You don't come here for an açaí bowl or an eggs Benedict flight--you come because you're hungry, you want your eggs cooked right, and you know you'll be taken care of. Places like this become community staples for a reason. The service was warm, the energy in the room was contagious, and the whole experience reminded me why diners like this make me so happy. We'll definitely be back, and next time I'm looking forward to trying the lunch menu.

I first tried…read moreCanal Wigwam about a decade ago (I have lived in Canal for 13 years now) and had such a poor experience that I didn't return until today. I thought that I would give it a shot again, but the food was just as disappointing as my first try. The service is great though! Everyone seems to be friendly and kind! We stopped by around 10 AM today (Saturday). Every table was full (so clearly others do like the food/service). My husband and I started off with a cup of coffee while our daughter got a glass of chocolate milk. The coffee was watery and bland (although they have a sign up front about having the world's best coffee). Be prepared to wait a while for your food. It took almost 45 minutes for us to get ours; however, it was understandable considering every table was full! For food, my daughter got the cinnamon roll. She absolutely loved it! She said that it was super soft and ooey-gooey! My husband ordered the steak and eggs. He ordered the steak medium, but it came out very well-done (super chewy). I tried his home fries with his side of bacon and both of those were good! My daughter enjoyed the bacon too! I had the biscuits and gravy and a side of "cheesy" scrambled eggs. A big no to both! The biscuits were undercooked and the gravy just tasted like a large clump of flour! The "cheesy" scrambled eggs were tough scrambled eggs with some shredded cheese sprinkled on the top! While the food was not "it" for me, there are other things that I do enjoy about Canal Wigwam! It's a cute little diner located in the center of our comforting and cozy town! They promote many other local businesses through their "decor" - the dining tables are designed with local businesses flyers/contact information, their coffee mugs promote another local business, etc. Again, I really want to like the food here, but for some reason - my taste buds do not agree!
