Creech explained everything well and they respected us not wanting to use any fluoride without judgement/pushback.

I took my child in for dental work and the dentist recommended anesthesia. Naturally, I asked…read moreseveral questions--not so much about the dental procedure, but about the anesthesia itself, since I was nervous. I was respectful, but admittedly anxious. Instead of reassurance, the doctor told me he's "running a business". He also suggested I get a second opinion if I wanted. That was discouraging, but what happened afterward was even more upsetting. When I called the next day to schedule the procedure, the staff informed me that the doctor had decided he would "prefer not to do the procedure" and advised me to seek care elsewhere. Looking back, I should have known something was off--the staff rushed us out at the end of the appointment and didn't even print the treatment plan until I specifically asked for it. This office comes highly recommended, but our experience left me feeling that patient care and compassion were treated as less important than business concerns. Parents should be able to ask questions about their child's safety without being dismissed or turned away. If you're an educated mother who asks questions, I would avoid this dental office.

As to be expected, our daughter lost her marbles during the quick exam/cleaning, but she immediately cheered up after. From check in to finish, the total time was 20 minutes. The entire staff was so friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable! We are so happy we now have a dental home for our daughter.

I…read morehave two children that at their previous dentist were screaming and crying the entire time. At Ironwood Children's Dentistry my children left their cleanings saying "that wasn't so bad!" CAVITIES/FILLINGS: My oldest has had cavities filled and it was an amazing experience (as amazing as getting a cavity filled can be). They have a tv above the child's head where they play a movie of their choice. They explained everything they were doing to my child in terms they would understand to help them stay calm. At the end of the visit they gave him a sword balloon. FRONT DESK: The front staff is so kind and educational. They print me copies of whatever breakdowns I ask for and explain the costs I will be looking at for future visitors so I know what to expect. COVID19: I admire how clean the offices are and how serious the staff take cleanliness. During a cleaning the dentist had to get something out of the cabinet and immediately took her glove off and put a new on one before resuming work on my child's teeth. There is hand sanitizer available to use and all the iPads are turned off for the interim.

You can go look on the AZ State Board of Dental Examiners site and look up the license of one of…read morethe dentists here- Phillip Cooke- and see the board actions taken against him. Pretty shocking that a pediatric dentist would allow someone to practice who has multiple complaints- including giving too much medication- DOUBLE the medication. Findings of fact say he worked on teeth virgin teeth with no evidence of decay and some ended up needing root canals, he also left open margins on crowns, and patients had nerve damage. License No. D02700 Parents deserve to be aware of this information so they can make informed choices.
