Parkland got my toddler in the morning I called for an emergency dental situation and was amazing. First of all they have a whole jungle gym play space situation in the waiting room which made filling out paperwork much easier with a 1 year old - and second - they were so sweet and helpful. I called a few days after being seen, after they were closed, to ask a quick question, and someone called me right back because she happened to still be there and recognized the patient name and wanted to make sure everything was ok. She quickly texted the provider to ask and get answers and called me right back with reassurance and helpful info!! Definitely recommend Parkland for your littles -- the most important thing as a first time mom is comforting, reassuring, understanding people! I was freaked out after my son got hurt and the staff made me feel much more at ease and in great hands. read more

We love this office! My oldest had to have two teeth extracted per her orthodontist's recommendation, and it was all around a great experience! She has a favorite stuffy she brings everywhere, and somehow forgot it at home. With only about 6 minutes until our appointment start time, they allowed us to run home and grab the stuffy- luckily we live close. This was an extremely huge deal not only to my daughter but to me as well, and really made the appointment go smoother for everyone. The fact that they cared more for my daughter's comfort than their time, truly shows how much compassion they have for their patients! I'm beyond thankful! The extractions went smooth and quickly with my daughter not feeling a thing and watching the movie on the ceiling the entire time with no complaints. It's been 3 days and healing up great! We couldn't be happier with our toddler's dentist! Our little one can be a handful at doctor visits, but he made him feel totally comfortable and safe. He's so friendly, patient, and clearly knowledgeable--he turned what I expected to be a stressful visit into an easy, positive experience. And a big plus--the waiting room has a playland just like McDonald's! My kid loved playing with the other kids before the appointment, which made the whole visit even smoother. Highly recommend! We have been coming here for a couple of years and always left feeling happy with our experience. Our last visit has left us looking for a new pediatric dental office for our kids. The dentists themselves are so sweet and compassionate and help to not make our kids feel scared or rushed. However, they do push for laughing gas for every little thing, their default line is it helps kids feel relaxed. I was a pediatric dental assistant for a few years and found this to be a bit much, it's not required for simple things like sealants, and pulling super wiggly teeth barely dangling in there, etc. 3 of my kids needed sealant touch up and they wanted to put all 3 on the laughing gas without even talking to me about it first, it's just their go to. When I went to the front desk to sign the agreement form I noticed little extra charges and when I asked the front desk lady what it was she snapped at me that it was for the gas and needed. I politely declined and tried to advocate for my kids how they aren't anxious and how I used to perform sealants on children when I was a dental assistant, she interrupted me raised her voice and snapped at me how "I should know then" when I repeated what I said she was very annoyed and reprinted a new form to sign without the gas. My kids were done not even 2 mins later all smiles and completely fine without the pushed gas. The play area is great, the dentists are nice, assistants are also nice, clean facility, and they give the kids little surprises at the end of the visit. If they stop pushing the gas, and the front desk lady finds some inner peace or vacation or something we'd consider returning, but as for now it's worth it to drive further and find somewhere we can be on the same page with everyone. read more

I am so happy we found this place for our kids. We were going to Kidiatric, but they didn't have an opening when one of our kids was having a really bad toothache. Parkland was able to get him in same day and we were so impressed with Dr. Cattron and the office, we made him our new pediatric dentist. The kids love going there, the play area is great, the rooms are large and well planned out, and it's very clean and organized. Dr Cattron really takes the time to explain everything in depth and answer all questions. He never seems rushed or bothered. Just the most perfect bedside manner. They offer SDF to avoid fillings when possible (a lot of pediatric dentists don't or look at you like you have two head for even asking) and is very respectful of fluoride declines. And as a random added bonus, our youngest loves that his dentist has the exact same color hair as him, lol. read more

I can't say enough good about this office. We had a horrible experience at another dental office with my 8 year old's dental extractions. Our previous dentist just didn't have a bedside manner and dove in for extractions leaving her terrified of the dentist. In contrast, this office is SO kid friendly and Dr. C took our first consult visit and made making her feel comfortable at the dentist a priority. She loved it! Their policies are also so much more kid friendly (extracting more than one tooth at a time here instead of one tooth at a time repeated visits that left her traumatized at our previous office). We drove half an hour to come to our appointment here instead of our previous 5 minutes from our house and it was 100% worth it. I genuinely can't say enough good. Switch and come here! Took both kids today for their 6 month cleaning and exams. We were really impressed with Dr. Cattron's patience and attention to detail. He spent time with us and explained the X-rays and the treatment plan. The kids loved the indoor play gym. It kept them entertained while I filled out the new patient paperwork. I can't begin to say enough about Parkland Pediatric Dental. My son and grandson were here from another state, my grandson who is 8 developed an abscess on one of his top teeth. Unsure if we should start at urgent care or a dentist office, and then there's COVID... after calling around , I happened to call Parkland. From the beginning- the office administration was helpful , understanding and compassionate. They fit us in right away . My son and grandson were brought in the office and I waited in the car. My son said the dentist was absolutely the best . After an examination and extraction , my grandson was done. My son currently does not have insurance and this office made the emergency procedure affordable. Not to mention the way my grandson raved about how nice the dentist was and it "didn't even hurt".... they just went above and beyond and we are so grateful. The dentist & his assistant are great. However, their scheduler simply shouldn't be in this office. She is extremely rude. If life happens and you cannot cancel two days in advance, she threatens to black list you from being seen at Parkland Pediatric Dental, indefinitely. No warning in advance just "cancel day of & you'll have to go someplace else." Someone like that doesn't belong in a field which involves dealing with families or people in general. Customer service skills DO apply to the medical field. read more

She had to get some work done that required sedation and I was more nervous than my daughter.
