i contacted birchwood tree service because i was in need of a large quantity of wood chips. kevin, the owner, offered to deliver some to my home, free of charge for the wood chips themselves as well as the delivery! so i was thrilled when a truck arrived at my house and unloaded 10+ cubic yards of quality wood chips. and yet i was not expecting it when, the very next day, kevin asked me if i wanted any more (i had told him that i would take as much as he could give me, as i was using them for a large-scale project...) and while i was more than pleased just to receive the first truckload, he promptly sent a second truck my way. i now have a mountain of wood chips to work with thanks to kevin and his team, and this was after i had been prepared, if necessary, to buy such an amount of wood chips by the yard and pay for their delivery, at a price that would have amounted to more than $500 for that much. it is also very nice to know that there still exists first-rate customer service for its own sake, considering the fact that kevin agreed to do all this without being compensated-- that is, gratis. i look forward to having the chance to hire birchwood tree service for some actual tree work, because this experience has left me with a very positive impression of kevin and his arborists as a company of professionals who actually give a damn about providing good service. read more

The work was accomplished within the time specified, with all debris removed, to our complete satisfaction. There may be better services out there, but one would be hard pressed to find any. Kevin and his team are as professional and accomplished as it gets. We had an unexpected issue in a downed electrical feeder line during the work. Without hesitation or missing a beat, technicians were on the scene and all fixed as before. And the resulting work looks terrific. The appearance value added to our home as a result of the work, exceeds the cost. This is one of my better investments. read more

When Kevin of Birchwood came to look at the tree work we wanted done, he gave us a price and then told us he'd be there the following Monday. Well, on Saturday morning, he and his crew were here to do the job because of impending snow that might jeopardize the original plan. His crew got to work and after about 2/3 complete, the snow arrived. They plugged away and completed the job in a squall. After payment and a thank you, they told me they were off to another job. I highly recommend Birchwood Tree service and will use them again in the near future. read more

This is probably the best tree service I've had. I contacted Kevin the owner to cut down a pretty large tree in my back yard. It was over our house and some branches were on the verge of falling. I asked him if he could take a look as soon as possible, he showed up the next day gave me a pretty good price. Then he came back in 2 day with his crew and cut the tree down. It wasnt long before the tree was down. They did a very efficient job. I would Birchwood is a good company to call. I really recommend them!!! read more

Birchwood Tree Service saved a tree that we thought was a goner for sure! Our tree is actually the one in their photo! It was uprooted after Sandi and they took enough of the weight off that it was able to reroot and grow back.
