They have a wide selection of yarn that is unavailable on Oahu. They even carry locally made yarn which was beautiful. They have lots of beautiful quilts hanging on the walls as well as crochet and knitted items as well. They even have binders of free patterns that you can take home with you. I was blown away! The store is beautiful to be in, so neat, organized and colorful. I wish I was into quilting so I could buy some of their colorful fabric! There is an ample parking lot so parking shouldn't be a problem. There is an iPad in the store where you need to punch in your license plate for 90 minutes of free parking. The yarns were reasonably priced. I ended up buying 2 skeins to crochet some butterflies. Highly recommend this store for your quilt, crochet or knitting needs. I was debating between Mid Pacific Medical Training Institute (MPMTI) and Hawaii Institute of Healthcare &Training Services (HIHTS). After doing some research and looking into the options that I had, I chose to inquire at both programs. I contacted HIHTS and left a message, but I was never given a follow-up. When I contacted MPMTI, I left a message with the administrator (Lin), and the instructor (Jan) called me back the next day. I met with her on that Friday and started my classes on the following Monday. The registration process was quick, easy and affordable. *** They provide students with payment options and work with other resources (Alu like, American Job Center etc.) to help with the tuition cost.*** Let's start with the facility, which is amazing. The class room is spacious with only a maximum of 8 students at a time. It's very clean, organized and has everything needed to succeed in the 6 week course. They also have 2 identical "resident rooms" with all the proper tools and supplies you need to practice your "skills". They give you all the resources you need to learn the material such as, daily handouts, textbook, work book and access to an online classroom where they have videos to learn from as well. They also provide snacks and coffee to enjoy during your breaks. They even offer a supply of scrubs to purchase, if you'd like. ***Free parking is also provided with proof of current vehicle insurance, so there's no need to hunt for parking. Parking is also secure with video cameras.*** During the classes, we are given thorough information on the proper ways to provide care to our community's residents in rehabilitation centers and long-term care facilities. We're taught about medical conditions, signs and symptoms, along with best treatment techniques and how to provide care for activities of daily living. Jan also instilled the importance of our services and care. She stresses the significance of being a CNA that genuinely cares for the residents that depend on them and her extensive knowledge of the medical field is greatly appreciated. We also got to work with residents at Life Care Center, which was a meaningful way to experience the work of a CNA first hand. It gives you an in depth understanding of the skills you learn, how to apply them and how to be flexible and adaptable in a case by case scenario. Overall, Jan and Lin are excellent examples of people who thrive to provide the best education to Hawaii's future CNAs. They really put all their efforts into helping their students be successful in this course. They walk you through the process step by step. They do everything possible to give their students all the assistance they require to do their best, starting from the time that they welcome you, to the finish line - passing your Prometric exam and obtaining your state license. I would recommend MPMTI to anyone who is looking to get or re-cert their CNA cert/license. MPMTI is truly the epitome of an institute that puts their students education and experience at the forefront of what they do. I'm extremely happy with my chose to get my CNA license with MPMTI. Anyways, I found the class online and I was impressed with their website and the photos that were posted. I contacted the facility and spoke with Ms. Jan over the phone. Over the phone, she briefly discusses how she admits (at maximum) 8 people per class session, which is also posted on the website, then asks if you can come to the facility in-person so she may interview and thoroughly talk to you about the course and what to expect. Altogether, you will feel so confident and motivated to be a CNA after completing the class. You will be disappointed that the class has finished, but you will NOT be disappointed with the class. I highly recommend Mid Pacific Medical Training Institute :) Also, I forgot to mention that the facility sells very cute scrubs at a reasonable price! We loved the surf class so much we brought friends with us this time. We signed three 11 year old kids up for a semi-private class. We were texted the night before the class and asked if we could move our 9:00 am class to 11:30 am. I said sure, no problem. The next day, we had one kid drop out. We had a new instructor. He was nice but didn't prep the kids for surfing (irresponsible). After an hour and a half, the instructor brought the kids back and said the office should have contacted me about the new class time. Classes are no longer two hours, the new times will be reflected on the website. I called the office for a week, no one answered and the voicemail was full. No one responded to my email and I texted the number that texted me for the time change with no luck. The website says a TWO HOUR surf lesson, it has not changed. I feel cheated and no one has contacted me.

I just didn't know when I'd be able to find the time to pamper myself. Well that's if you consider waxing to be relaxing too. Except it's been a hot minute since my last wax. Cause I usually cave & just shave. However for that rare occasion that I do wax, I normally just DIY it at home. So this experience was a new an exciting opportunity to actually get to relax while someone else does all the work. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised on how smooth it went. Cause I don't know about you. But when I wax myself it almost feels more painful cause it's like you're torturing yourself. Pain is beauty I guess. However when someone else is doing it, the wax strip feels like packing tape being ripped off. It's so smooth & the after is much nicer. Plus the atmosphere is so zen, the calming music playing in the background. Plus I could hear the head spa waterfall nearby. And I have generally been satisfied. Their folks come on time -- or offer to come early if they're ahead of schedule -- and are always pleasant and efficient. BUT they do one thing that drives me crazy: Instead of contacting the customer to schedule an appointment at a convenient time, their automated scheduler simply informs you that they're coming at X date and time. Because my schedule varies, that almost never works, and I have to waste my time contacting them to reschedule. When I complained about this once, they said, roughly, that they have to do it this way. No they don't. I've never encountered another business that operates this way and it's a constant source of frustration.
