Tijuana - soooo good! Fried, Dipping sauce yummy

We were seeking a brunch/lunch & haven't been here for a while so decided to stop in. Sat at the bar - because it is part of the fun! Wayne ordered a margarita & I opted for a mimosa. Chips & guacamole were outstanding & the tacos!!! We had four total of the brunch tacos so we could have a taste of all. Our server was great & the place is comfy and casual.

As a native Californian, I was skeptical of Maine tacos. Service was good pace for lunch time on a Friday. The tacos were stuffed-like mini burritos (in all the right ways)! I had the Al Pastor and fish taco. Lost a star only because my fish taco was cold, but the crunch was still there. This was better than some of the taquerias in my home town! Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The interior was tight, so if you're a group of 3+ watch the weather.

Bird & Co is the best Mexican spot in Portland. I'm not saying it's the most authentic, I'm not saying it's perfect, I'm not saying their cocktail program is going to change your life, but... 1. They take reservations (including for brunch on the weekends) and it's super easy to do online. How many places in this city are doing this? The answer is: still not many. 2. Their menu is clearly labeled with what's vegan and vegetarian. No guessing here, and the staff has always been quick to double-check with the kitchen if there are any questions or concerns. Segue... 3. The chips and guacamole for currently $10 are the same quantity of (and I mean this lovingly) overly salted, house fried - sometimes too fried - chips and a tiny scoop of good guac as most places in town that are CHARGING YOU MORE. Segue... 4. There are places in town now charging $8 to $10 for ONE TACO. And they're sometimes quite small. The tacos here average between $4.75 and $6.50 for creative, flavorful, interesting, filling options (also you can get them on either flour or corn, no upcharge). The menu changes from time to time, and I wish they'd bring back the fried yuca taco, but the solid vegan solid options right now are Adobo Sweet Potato, Fried Plantain, and Crispy Tofu. Segue... 5. The taquitos, brussel sprouts, and cheesecake are all vegan. Segue... 6. The brunch (10am to 2pm, Saturday and Sundays) options for vegans are probably the most impressive in town: tofu or chorizo or fresh avocado tacos, huevos rancheros, churro french toast, avocado toast, chimichangas. 7. The Mexican cold brew might change your life (... or at least make you really happy when you're playing hooky from work and having an 11am drink). Switch the tequila for house whisky, skip the vespertino, ask for a side of oat milk... no changes to the price when doing this, by the way, because they're THAT kind of place that isn't trying to punish you constantly with extra fees. 8. The staff is so accommodating, they're thoughtful, they check-in just the right amount. Sure, I've had a few bad experiences here, but overall... sit at the bar, make a friend, and just ask/just talk to them if you're missing something/need something etc. 9. The atmosphere here is Portland right before it became too cool (IYKYK). It's casual and relaxed, it can be intimate and loud when it's busy, it feels quite trendy yet still approachable when they've got their newly updated outside area set-up. 10. It's off peninsula which also changes the demographic and vibe entiiiiiiiiiirely. For the good. 6/5 no notes.

We met with friends and ate outside today. We had reservations and was given the option to eat outside so we took it. Drinks were excellent. Tequila galore The food. Wow, great options for vegans and it's marked on the menu.y favorite was the Bahn Mi taco. These are huge and very flavorful. Choice of flour or corn taco shells. Four stars just due to a slow waitress. Looks like they were short staffed so not going to give them too much grief! Try them!

Bird and Co is a good option. The flavors are inventive and delicious. We've been a number of times and I think that the size of the restaurant inside (the bar takes up too much of the restaurant floor) and the service, that seems to be inconsistent, can be frustrating. I have been to events in which Bird & Co catered and I have to give them high remarks on their catering!

Cauliflower, Crispy Tofu and Adobo Sweet Potato tacos

We came for an early dinner on a Friday night and sat outside. Reservations advised! Our service was a mixed experience and overall not the most warm and welcoming. As a vegetarian, I appreciated the number of options for me on the menu. I tried all three of the vegetarian tacos--the cauliflower was probably my least favorite. All were flavorful, fresh and inventive though. Would consider a repeat trip!

A quaint and cozy environmental with an amazing vibe. Super chill and casual as a whole. The decor was fresh, light, and stunning. The menu was initiative and offered a variety of Mexican fusion foods. I ordered a mix of tacos. The Tijuana, the fried polo diablo, the banh mi, and the California. All were delicious, made with fresh fresh ingredients, and extremely flavorful. The service was expeditious. The waitress was kind, willing to explain, and friendly. We will definitely be back! 10/10!!

This is the only taco place I like in portland. Every taco I try is delicious. Parking can be an issue but don't let that stop you from going in for a margarita and a taco!

Got take out so I can't speak of eating inside/service but the food was amazing! LOVE that food items are marked vegan & there was an option to have the vegan tacos put in a separate box. Got the plantain and tofu tacos and each were amazing! Will certainly be back to eat inside!! And can't wait to try the vegan cheesecake. The food was fresh and delicious. No complaints!!

Delicious tacos, so many options and flavors. Loved being able to sit outside after weeks of rain. Service was okay, we waited along time in between ordering drinks, apps and dinner. We did make reservations and after we arrived it filled up fast. It became very busy. Would go back, if gluten free shared fryer they do have corn tortillas- most things are fried just ask your server what is safe

Service was okay, but rushed. Chips were hard and slightly stale. The guacamole was not good, had a weird tangy taste. Limes literally had no juice! The queso that came with the chips was good. I had the Bahn Mi taco, not good. The fried meet was tough and the tortillas were not warm or soft. I also got the fish taco, which was better than the bahn mi taco, but also not great. I wouldn't come back to this spot. A taco spot would be better or even chipotle, especially considering the cost.

Always delicious tacos and margaritas! Nice vibe and friendly staff! Lots of taco options.

Stopped in for quick lunch and enjoyed Bird & Co patio I had the fish tacos and enjoyed them. The Crispy Tofu Tacos were okay but a little too cooked. Worth a stop. Staff was friendly and patio was nice. Inside the restaurant bar seemed small.

This was a fun spot with tasty tacos - we especially appreciated a few vegetarian options. The tofu was a little tough but decent!

I've been several…read moretimes and I make a point to bring every out of town guest there because it's not just a meal, it's an experience. This weekend I took my best friend and it was perfect, even in the middle of winter. The deck is still open with plenty of space heaters and even heated seat cushions. We actually got so warm we had to peel off layers, which feels like a small miracle in Maine. The two of us love a marg & taco outing, and make a point to scope out the best of the best. We started with chips and salsa and some queso, which were the perfect kickoff. Then we ordered the street corn succotash, my absolute favorite. It's packed with flavor and topped with the most delicious, salty cotija cheese that pulls everything together. I crave that dish. We split the smoked brisket tacos and the smoked pork carnitas tacos, and both were outstanding. The meat was smoky and tender, the flavors were bold without being overdone, and every bite delivered. And the margaritas? Excellent and refreshing. Exactly what you want alongside that food. On top of all that, the staff is consistently wonderful. Every single time we've gone, our waitstaff has been charming, attentive, and genuinely helpful with recommendations. They strike that perfect balance of checking in without hovering, and they make you feel welcome from start to finish. Terlingua never disappoints. Great atmosphere, incredible food, thoughtful touches that keep you cozy even in winter, and a team that clearly cares about the experience.

There is zero atmosphere in the joint, wait staff weren't rude but seemed run off their feet, and the food was all served lukewarm at best. The tortilla soup was awful and served cold. My son - who demolishes food at every bbq place we go to - decided halfway through that he'd had enough and after trying his food I could tell why. Bland. Like I said, I really wanted to like the place but can't say I'd ever suggest anyone goes here. A flavor-free experience. It's also very expensive and not giving an itemized bill as the check is very sketchy.

I could've done without the lettuce in the burrito, and I did remove 1 star because it was falling apart when I got home and I ended up having to use my own (store bought) tortilla, which was disappointing after paying $17 for a burrito. Even so, everything was super flavorful! Tacos would be my recommendation to others. I also very much appreciate that the food is all authentic and handmade, they had picnic tables in the shade for seating, and the chef was welcoming and happy to explain the menu options.

I have heard great things and was really hoping they had pupusas available on the truck... but no such luck. Only tacos, burritos, and quesadillas. That's ok because the very kind gentleman on the truck made the 3 Amigos sound really good! It's one pork, one beef, and one chicken taco on homemade tortillas with the standard fixings - onion, cilantro, guac, and salsa. I will say that the homemade tortillas are very good, though different than most I've had. They are soft to the point of almost being creamy? Very very rich, reminded me of the base of a sope. The meats were absolutely delicious and grilled and full of flavor. I loved both the pork and the beef, though the fattiness could've used an extra lime or two. I took one bite of the chicken taco and got a couple little bones, so I didn't eat the rest of that one. The sauces were good, though I was told one of the sauces was VERY VERY hot and I didn't detect a lot of spiciness from it. I think overall, I could've used double garnish, double lime, and a lot of extra heat. There are no prices on the board so I was thinking three tacos would come to like $10 - $12. Turns out they are $20 before tax, holy moley. I admit that my expectations were high before I even took a bite, because that price point is a little crazy. I am super curious about the brick and mortar because I'm sure it's a different experience with the food truck. These tacos were definitely tasty enough to do some more research!
