This place always hits for lunch. Everything I have tried, I have enjoyed. The sizes are large and I usually eat half and save the other half for the next day. Items I've tried that I love: - tarragon chicken sandwich - tuna sandwich - artichoke grilled cheese - egg salad - blt w avocado - tuna melt - margarita melt Highly recommend checking them out. A friend brought me quite the assortment of 30 cupcakes from Bird Bakery on my birthday. They have mini ones (in an egg carton, SO cute) and full sized ones that are absolutely beautiful. There are so many flavors and I've yet to be disappointed. So far the top standout is the salted caramel frosting. I want to eat it by the spoonful. Red velvet minis were delicious too. I found the service to be fairly friendly, although it was not as friendly as I would have expected for as high as the prices are here. I have a bad habit which I must admit. I tend to sort of neglect businesses that exist in my direct neighborhood from time to time. The excuse I use for that is, "I can go there any time because it's so close". This super cute bakery is one of the businesses I hadn't utilized in a while. As if to owe them a big apology , I went here mid-morning today and got me the Tuna Salad sandwich to feed my empty stomach. And OH BOY, I found the best Tuna Salad sandwich today!! Let me summarize my today's visit to this bakery: Starting out with the cleanliness of the store: It's almost always spotless. And the cuteness of the bakery is so addictive to a point where you wan to spend hours savoring everything the bakery has to offer. Service: Friendly staff were welcoming and pleasant. This lady who assisted me allowed me to take my time to choose. She even gave me the savory menu even though I was only looking at the display of the sweets. This ended up being a good this; instead of getting me a huge piece of something sweet, something savory truly appealed to me and my stomach. She pretty much read my unconscious deep thought (lol)! Food: Like I said earlier, Tuna Salad sandwich was probably the best one I've ever had. The perfect amount of mustard mixed in the mayo simply did the magic. All the veggies between the bread were all fresh. The Tuna Salad had the modest amount of salt in it where the true taste of tuna was nowhere near ruined. And it's all in all very light where it satisfied my appetite but wasn't heavy on my stomach. My little dessert was the right choice; small but with a little decadence, it paired well with the coffee I brewed. My meal nicely ended with the right amount of sweetness. I need to go back soon again and explore more on the menu as I cannot get enough of this bakery now. The food here is really good! I had an avocado breakfast sandwich that was excellent, with a cappuccino that was also very good! The restraint is very cozy, but the chairs are super uncomfortable and need to be replaced ASAP! It's a new restaurant, so I've ran into some issues where an employee tells me these things already come in my breakfast sandwich, but they don't, so I have to send it back so they can add it... Waited after asking again as I need to get back and pick up my husband at 9.15. Finally they came out. 4 - count them 4 gluten free mini cupcakes. The girl promptly put 3 in a box and the lady in front of me got the last one. When I said I had been waiting around since 8 am and they are gone? You knew I was waiting. The 3 had been paid for online after I had said I was waiting if I understood her correctly. Kindly do not advertise yourself as a gluten free bakery. The monster cookies are good and they had brownies, but 4 cupcakes??????? I didn't even know they were going to be mini. On a good note, the surgery went very well. Love love love this place. It's the go to for everyone at the office. It can get pretty loud in there so don't plan on going there to get work done without noise canceling headphones. They are always super busy but the staff is really great at time management for orders. Made for a perfect brunch spot for me & my friend to get some good food while also being able to have a conversation at a normal volume (a requirement for brunch.) The coffee is sub-par, but I'd be willing to try something different to see if it gets better. The service is order at the counter & get a number, with wait staff checking in, which was a very chill, but service-as-needed vibe. When I asked if I could get salad instead of chips, the waitress GLARED at me and said quite rudely " we DO NOT make substitutions so loudly that my neighbor at the next table looked over. Bird is the word! I'm so happy to welcome Bird Bakery to DTC and know that I'll find myself here many more times in the near future. From San Antonio to Dallas and now Greenwood Village, we're lucky to have this spot around. Walking in was a breath of fresh air. It's large, open and bright! There's a wall of fun gift items, as well as some beverages and pimento cheese to go. From there, you can make your way to the pastry case to ogle at the cupcakes, cookies and other baked goods. We ended up with a lemon square, pimento cheese popover, and coffees to enjoy on the spot. They also have a large menu of sandwiches, soup and salad. There's plenty of seating inside, including the cutest little area for kiddos with TVs built into the walls. I've never seen anything like that! There's ample parking in the stripmall lot. It currently doesn't have a large sign outside so you just have to look for the door. I would imagine they'd set up outdoor seating in the warmer months but can't say for certain. Finally, they also deliver via Uber Eats which was great when I wanted to send a friend a carton of cute cupcakes. They were a huge hit! read more

If there ever was a question as to whether or not Bird Bakery would be as delicious as I remembered from their Texas locations and the owner, Elizabeth's recipes, all were put to rest today when the Nest finally opened in Denver. This is their third location and first outside of Texas. Their amazing treats from rustic apple pie (my favorite which comes in mini and full-size) to decadent mini cupcakes, bars, and breads (Nutella bread is the best thing I have ever had) you really can't go wrong. On top of their delicious treats they also carry a full menu of breakfast and lunch items. We have been making their Tarragon Chicken salad for years from home as well as their pimento cheese so it's especially special to get to order it off of their menu now! Make sure to show up hungry because there's so much on the menu to try! They also do custom cakes, cookies, and orders. If you have a special event coming up, including weddings, I have never seen cuter custom cookies and cakes than from Bird Bakery! I forgot to take pictures so I will just have to come back this weekend! Their space is amazing located in Bellview Promenade and will have event space when we are finally able to be in person again! I was mid-sentence, ordering, when I woman stepped in front of me, rambled in about another order and order numbers and then walked away. I at first thought it was a pretentious, self-absorbed customer who couldn't respect someone else's time. But no. It was an employee. She didn't apologize. Didn't acknowledge my presence. Didn't acknowledge that she literally moved in front of me and interrupted me. Welcome to the Promenade at Greenwood Village. I went on to order and then waited. I wasn't given an order number for my drink so I stood to the side. I wanted ten minutes before a woman came over, holding a drink, asking if I was waiting for a drink and then asking me for my order number. On top of it the Americano was so watered down. The mini cupcake lacked flavor - the cupcake was moisten but the chocolate flavor was one-note; the peanut butter frosting was frosting with a subtle taste of peanut butter. This place has potential if the staff took some lessons in respect and customer service and they learned to make a decent americano and a good cupcake. Bird is an adorable bakery in Belleview Promenade. My coworkers and I come here at least once a week (as we work in the same plaza). The ambience and decor is sweet, clean & bright. The workers are very friendly. My favorite sandwich is the California club. My co workers love the cookies and bars. I don't usually eat sweets but the cupcakes are very cute and are great gifts. I buy dozens for my kids' school, and we gift a cupcake for our client's come in on their birthday. They wrap it beautifully in a Tiffany-blue box. Bird has charm. I could spend an entire day in this serenely beautiful bakery just soaking in the feminine, peaceful vibes. The food is simply outstanding; I came in for lunch and had the tuna salad plate. It was huge, I couldn't even finish it. They had samples of lemon bars, and it was exquisite. I had the hibiscus mint iced tea, which was not too sweet at all, and ordered several cupcakes to go. I couldn't stop myself from eating the lavender lemon cupcake while I was there. It was DIVINE! Just the right amount of lavender and sweetness. The cake was moist and flavorful. I can't wait to try the strawberry after dinner. I have to note the interior design of this place is stunning. It's bathed in white, high ceilings, very clean and feminine. Even the bathrooms are pretty, with white tiles covering the walls and pretty hardware.
