I love this place so much! It's one of my favorite places to buy treats for family when they come to visit, even though it's across town for me. I like this particular location because of the parking lot (even though it can get a bit crazy). It's not your typical cinnamon roll but it's a combination of a fresh pastry and roll! I opt for the sweet rolls instead of the savory, it's a great combination of not too sweet and a nice flaky crunch. The sticky bun was superior! Every time I visit, I always wish I bought more and that was the case with this one again! I appreciated the pick up option that you can place online. Went in for a late breakfast and it was great! BLT on a hoagie that was toasted & soft Breakfast sandwich with Egg & Bacon on focaccia was great! You walk up to the counter and once is ready, they bring it to your table. Very helpful staff and bonus, a mini Duffy roll for each order. I just recently came upon this little gem of a bakery cafe on Pearl St - what a fun discovery! Duffeyroll Pushcarts started 35 years ago in Denver by friends Jim Duffey & Nick Ault with a "one-of-a-kind cinnamon roll". The rolls are crispy crunchy on the outside & soft inside. After a year just Nick continued the business, expanding the menu & locations. All customers were greeted as they walked in, the staff was very friendly. The cafe was charming, with brick walls & wood floors. Hundreds of selfies covered the place & jazz music was playing in the background. I liked the circular bar that overlooked the bakers so you can watch them make the rolls. Not only do they offer sweet, savory & cobbler Duffeyrolls but breakfast and lunch sandwiches as well. We had the English Toffee, Sticky Bun & the Veggie Savory Rolls. The rolls tend to be on the smaller side, so you might need two. The English Toffee Roll had a subtle flavor of toffee glaze & toffee bits, while the Sticky Bun Roll had that delicious sweet tasting stickiness with lots of pecan pieces. The Veggie Savory Roll came with spinach, tomato & Provolone Cheese...absolutely delightful! Note: take the paper cup off that's around the rolls right away, the paper tends to stick. How have I not heard of this place before? The cinnamon rolls are to die for and they even have mini rolls and different flavors. The staff gave me a free mini for it being my first time there and I just thought that was so sweet. This is definitely not a place I would sit and eat at, but it is perfect for walking in and grabbing what you want to go! read more

Full disclosure I'm not a sweet roll fan but it wasn't the food. It was the place as a whole. It was a gross hole in the wall with very little seating inside and cold seating outside. You're literally in the middle of a parking lot. The people working were but the rolls weren't anything I'd go back for. This a nice quaint little place. And is awesome if you're a 40 year old that wears your cap backwards. The rolls are called "cinnamon rolls" because they have cinnamon and are rolled dough.. however, that is where it ends. The rolls are sub par at best and probably Just one level above the Pillsbury roll from the grocery store. The mini roll we had was cold, raw and a little hard on the edges. Trust me if you want a cinnamon roll this is not the place to be. Do yourself a favor and go to Lisa Anne's in Eastlake. Ok let's get to the sandwich. If your lazy and don't want to make a sandwich...we'll walk on in to this place. These sandwiches are nothing special and and not memorable at all. A disappointing visit however I am glad I went to experience this place ONCE and once is all it will take for most not to come back. Positive: staff is nice and very courteous. Wow, can't believe I've been in Denver for two years and just realized I had a Duffeyroll Cafe less than 8 minutes away! I went at 8am on a Sunday and waited about 10 minutes in line, which gave me a chance to come up with my "game plan." There are lots of flavors to choose from, which is both good and bad. I wish they had a preselected "favorites" box for indecisive first time customers such as myself! I ended up going with a box of 6- two classic Duffeyrolls, two savory, one Irish crème, and one peach cobbler. The classic rolls were delicious and I'm glad I got two because one was immediately snatched by my toddler. The savory rolls were also amazing; I loved the ham and cheese one with mustard but my husband felt that the bacon one would have been better without the tomatoes (I am a tomato lover so I respectfully disagree). The Irish crème one was also pretty good, of the tiny piece my toddler didn't claim. The only one I felt meh about was the peach cobbler. It was kind of mushy/partially cooked on the bottom rather than crisp and flaky like the other Duffeyrolls. Overall, solid place for a nice treat. The box of 6 was about $17, so definitely not an everyday kind of thing but it fed 2 adults and a 3 year old and was very tasty! read more

My favorites are Pecanilla Crunch, Peach Cobbler, and Blueberry Cobbler, but seriously, they're all incredible - light and flaky on the outside, softer and gooier toward the center. When we order them for the office, I always start off the day by assuring myself that this time I'll be a civilized human and I'll only eat one roll, but inevitably, after all is said and done, I've eaten four rolls in one day and I'm pledging never to leave Colorado so I can enjoy delicious Duffeyrolls forever. Although! They do ship bake-at-home Duffeyrolls nationwide! I shipped 40 Duffeyrolls to my family in California (four people) and they finished all 40 rolls in less than a week. Love! Wow... brought in a half dozen original to share with my coworkers. These cinnamon rolls are ! They are flaky like a croissant so lighter than the typical cinnamon roll. And also not as big ..which I appreciate because damn! they're sweet and I couldn't handle any more sugar. I tried the Peppy Turkey Club- turkey breast, Pepper Jack cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado and chipotle mayo on toasted Jalapeno Cheddar baguette. I have been coming here for decades and have always enjoyed my experience. My son and I always used to go on the weekends as a fun thing to do. The sandwiches and rolls were always pleasant for what it was at Duffey's. However, I went back today as I had a craving for a sticky bun which I have not been since the pandemic. Well I can say the size of the product has most definitely changed like everything else but sadly the rolls itself have gone downhill in quality as well. At $5 dollars now for a roll that is half the size it used to be and half the quality you would think they would take a little more pride in what they put out. It was placed in a paper sack and I was sent on my way. As you can see from the picture, 2 of these rolls are now not even the size of what 1 used to be at almost twice the price. While I don't mind paying for something at al it should still be a quality product. So often established places lose the soul as to what made them beloved in the first place. I sadly won't be going back again to this local spot. read more
